This channel plays an important role in humanising the unhoused in our areas. Thank you for giving them a voice and a chance to share their experiences.
Sadly some people need to be reminded that all unhoused people are humans who have suffered a barrage of intricate happenings and decisions that has lead them to these unfortunate circumstances.
    Keep doing your amazing work.

@@HomelessinCapeTown-tg5fdI agree but there comes a time that you need to take responsibility for your decisions and not to play the victim card. Further not to be manipulative.
Report to a shelter be rehabilitated and empowered. The aforementioned eill give you purpose and dignity.
Do not enable these people with sorrow. Rather reach out for their restoration.

It is not as simple as that. We were trying to help these people with shelters only to find the majority of the shelters are permanently full or do not take in couples or families. There simply just is not the capacity for adequate social reform systems for these individuals in this country.

Leroy i do understand your life situation and the difficulty you face in life and to what you have to endure and live your life as you are living now. But Leroy life is what we make of it the choices we make. People do feel for you and the many many homeless people in South Africa but you had a choice and you chose your path in life. You have thrown your life away by getting involve with drugs and gangsterasimn but God can change your life around but change starts with you Leroy. Your life can change only if you are willing and able to change your life. So many homeless people have changed their lifes and today they live a much better life. Dont blame family and friends blame yourselve Leroy.

There are too many homeless people in SA than Nigeria. It is hard explaining this to South Africans because they have better infrastructure and believe everything in their country is better.

Hi there thank you for the comment! 🙏💚 That is so interesting, why do you think Nigeria has less homeless people? Are there more government programs for these individuals or less disparity than SA?

As a South African I see homeless every day. I hope my statistic proves that we acknowledge a homeless situation when we see one.

Lies. In Nigeria there are no government programmes for youth who fall through the cracks. If you listen to Leroy, he admits that he was into drugs and gangsterism, and that's the likely reason that he is separated from his family. They gave up on him.
