Yep, I get a lot of action on that color. One of my favorites. They came out with a new color since the video, called bleeding hot olive, it's a good one also. Don't catch em all. lol.
I'm not the least bit surprised. Wow, SA fishing, now that must have been a real experience! What I wouldn't for a chance for some of the lunkers down there.
Great, glad to hear you got something out of it. BTW, what kind of catfish and where were you fishing. I don't normally fish for catfish, but would like to know.
@@gen10nine43 channel cat @ mingo park pond Nicholasville, KY and it was pretty unintentional catch on a sperate setup, 6 9 fast taper medium on 10 lb fluro, cant remember the specific line.
Good to know. I don't bowfin fish because of where I live. But I'm not surprised, as a said, it is a great multi-species lure. More so than some other lures. Don't catch em all! lol.
Just got a silver one at Gagnon for 59% off. However I also grabbed my first fishing license and have yet to cast my first line in the water, so hopefully I catch anything lol
@@gen10nine43 50% off. May have been my local stores over stock or clearing of some product not sure. It was my first time there. Awesome store. Feel like I've missed out my whole life.
@@ianbourne9970 I'm sure, did the video a couple over a year ago, and the prices seem to be inching up because of inflation. I still think they are worth the money though.
Ya know, that is a pretty good idea. I don't know if Rapala makes a bill-less jointed lure. I will have to look for that. I wouldn't be surprised if they did, but it's worth looking into.
Just looked, and they have a "shallow rap" which runs at the 2 to 4 feet depth. Not sure I like the colors as much, but I will have to give one a try. Thanks for the interaction, may have just found another good lure.
this guy really doesn't know what he's talking about or at least doesn't make it clear that he does. you can definitely throw this lure around cover, trees, rocks/boulders, docks. in fact those are probably the best places to throw this lure. also with this kind of lure it's better to throw it in stained water. the x rap jointed shad has different sizes all the way up to 5inches which is a bass catching machine.
Sorry you didn't find the video helpful. As far as throwing near structure where it may get hung up, that is definitely a problem. I don't fish from a boat, so I can't retrieve it whenever it gets tangled. So making others think that is safe for throwing near things that the hooks may snag is just not a good idea. I know it comes in different sizes, never said it only comes in one size. However, when wading and creek fishing and wanting to catch different species, I prefer this size. Again, sorry that you enjoy the evaluation. May your fish nets always be full, but don't catch em all, leave some for the rest of us. lol.
In one day of trolling caught around 100 crappie/white bass and 4 20"+ walleye on a #4 in perch. Went out and bought 3 more in that color

If you change The splittring to one size smaller (4 mm) and a one size smaller belly hook they are slow floating
Really? Interesting. Not sure if floating it would work, but hey, it's another option. Have to give it a try in the spring. Thanks.
It is a great lure, I had caught different species of fish on it...both in South America
I'm not the least bit surprised.

caught a 3 lb catfish on one of these after they got tired of chicken liver. awesome video very informative.

Caught my PB bowfin on the baby bass
Caught the biggest bass of my life on the silver one
I'm not surprise, they are very effective when used in the right conditions at the right times.

Does he make a lot of vibrations?
Yes
It's a pretty active lure, and it has rattles in it, which causes greater sound as it goes though the water.
👍👍
Glad to know you liked the video, don't catch em all. lol.
Got one of these things for 4 bucks at walmart
Wow, that was a steal, it must have been mispriced! U da man! Thanks for watching.
In sweden it cost more than 12 dollars
Wow, that's too bad, I wouldn't have expected them to cost that much. But they will catch fish, that's for sure.
The average price is £9.99 in the UK 🇬🇧
