Thanks for this video! I've been searching youtube for videos about Clinical Exercise Physiology and its disappointing that there isn't a lot of content about it. I'd love to see more videos about your current position and what a day in your job is like, duties that you carry out as a CEP in cardiac rehab, etc.!
I remember thinking I failed my chemistry II class - i cried -- and didn’t check my final grade for 6 months (basically the whole summer). When it came time to register for a new set of classes I realized I got a low B instead. This was 15 years ago and I still feel the anxiety today - when you just want something so bad. Sometimes we are in our own ways and there is nothing wrong , if anything you learn more and better by failing & trying again.
I've been out of school and in the field for 9 years now. I took the test and failed by just a few points. I am getting ready to take the test a 2nd time and could use some equation review. Unfortunately, I work in a small hospital that does not use them in their protocols. Any good resources for reviewing how to do the metabolic equations?
Thank you so much for this video! I am currently finishing up my undergrad and I am currently doing 360 hours of an internship in cardiac and pulmonary rehab. I plan to get my masters in clinical ex phys next year. Just wondering, how did you get hours for cancer?
YAY! Congratulations! I will be taking the test later this year, but i'm a bit confused on the internships. ACSM-CEP requirements say I need a well rounded experience in different clinics to take the test. Did you do your internship at multiple places?
@@baylee5401 hope you still check these! I'm currently researching about this cert and dont know much about all the requirements yet. I've been a physical therapist tech for about 1.5 years in out patient with well over 2080 hours. Do those hours count? EDIT: and is there a difference between the exercise physiologist cert and clinical exercise physiologist cert
@@baylee5401 thanks for your super prompt reply!! I emailed them to ask about the hours, and I do have qualifying bachelor's in kinesiology so I may end up meeting the minimums. We shall see!
I have a question regarding eligiblity for ACSM CEP however I checked the website but still I have doubts like my degree is equivalent or not. I had done my bachelor degree in Bsc in Physical education and sports science health education after that I completed my diploma in field of physical education teacher and now I am studying my master degree in Sports Physiology & genetic.
Thank you! Very informative. Planning to tackle this exam winter 2020 semester. In cardiac rehab internship now. How's your experience going in the field now?
Bay Lee have you found a job yet ? I just feel like the exam.. is a waste of money. Overly Saturated field. Not very lucrative. If you’re an undergraduate reading this... do nursing or dietetics. If you really need to do exercise science.. double major with it.
Hey thanks a lot for this video. Just wondering about the books. I have the ninth edition of the guidelines book (smaller size book) do you think I need to get the tenth edition? Also other than studying the books is there anything else I need to be reading? Thanks ☺
@@baylee5401 okay thanks I'll get the new edition! And would I also need the other clinical exercise physiology (big blue book) And when you say need more practice with EKG, what in the exam would you need to know more about?
@@baylee5401 yeah I was thinking I'd need that aswel, I have a degree in exercise and health but wouldn't be bad to brush up on some points I've forgotten about. On their Instagram page, they suggest those two and the review book so I'll prob just get those three to be sure. It's a pity noone sell them secondhand 😂 Right okay then, I do it plenty but asked in an exam question could be a little confusing like that lol
@@baylee5401 hi Bay Lee, just wondering do you think its worth getting the clinical exercise physiologist book? The bigger one. I feel that looking at the review exam questions a lot of the questions don't really come from the guidelines book? Do you think the physiologist book helped a lot?

Thank you for this video! I’m taking my exam in June. I bought the prep course and text to study.
I wanna take this test! This is my 2020 goal! I graduated back in late 2017 in exercise science just been scared too :(

are there any apps available for this exam?
where did you get your clinical hours, and did those help?
Hi! When did they ask you to submit your volunteer hours? Are they strict on those hours? Thank you for your insight!
Very helpful!!! Thank you ❤️
Great job. Thank you.

How did you get your clinical internship hours? Was it through your school or did you just ask around to see who would take you on as an intern?
