To be fair, same is true with ACTUAL pro wrestling, right? There's a lot of rules about shoulders being down, the referee slapping the mat, etc. Speaking from personal experience when one of my ex girlfriends didn't know the first thing about wrestling ... I know that a lot of these rules can be really confusing for a complete newcomer.
Like ... just to give you a taste of how clueless this girl was to wrestling, one of the questions she actually asked me was ... "how many games do they play in a season?"
The rules can often seem contradictory at first glance to a complete novice as well. Like for example ... how using the ropes for leverage is illegal but using them when you're in a submission hold can actually break the hold ... or how throwing your opponent into the steel steps isn't illegal but picking the steps up and hitting your opponent with them is. It only takes a minute to explain the nuances in those rules, but it definitely isn't obvious at first glance!

Brian, if you're looking for more wrestling-themed games, the crew at Filsinger Games have something similar, but using actual wrestlers. They have licensed ROH sets, Chikara sets, and more, so your die rolls actually apply to signature moves for real wrestlers.
I'm a huge fan of the game, and if you enjoyed this, it might be right up your alley.
As a fan on board games and table top games and wrestling I would love to play this

As the same type of person and as someone who owns the game, you should get it. It's not that expensive, and it's super fun to play. Even the characters are unique and have cool strengths and weaknesses that dramatically vary up gameplay.
I agree, I own the game too and its always a lot of fun when I get to break it out. Most of the people I've played with aren't super into board games and they were able to pick up the base game pretty quickly
I've had this game for about a year and a half. It's a great dice chucker, with the theme incorporated quite nicely. The dice feel nice and weighty, and playing in the 3d ring makes it so enjoyable

This game is fantastic. I really like it. Unique dice-rolling rules. You definitely should build the ring, since it plays into the rules.
I love the artsyle and the concept. I might pick this up eventually. Also, the Long Horn Legdrop sounds awesome.

I don't mind if this was sponsored or anything, it just seems to... obviously positive. Like it felt like most of the video was just Brian explaining the game, without any of his usual wackiness or irreverence. Just didn't feel as lighhearted as usual idk.

When I was a kid, I made up my own wrestling dice game. It was actually pretty good.
Yeah I remember getting this and another Luchador themed game from my local game store after a 40K tournament
I am glad this game is getting more attention. I saw that Lucha Underground is starting to sell it in their store. I wish there were more good wrestling games, but between this and WWE' Superstar Showdown (its actually a really good game), I should have enough to hold me over for now

YES! I never got to play in the Imaginary Wrestling Association cus i lived in the UK. This might be the next best thing.
I am not the ONLY ONE. Who felt a good teaser Trailer you got my interest then wow i can wanna see more BUT we all would like maybe a couple rounds of play with commets flying this would make good after work/school day watch you after or before actual watch stream. Or use it to predict out comes of said matches ...like create a wrestler then have match favor may. Sway the outcome just fun .... Im getting one
