Quick drive to the Moon Lake - Night drive on dirt roads towards Chandertaal

Chandertaal is a beautiful, mesmerising fresh water lake in the Himalayas at altitude of about 4,290 ft on the Manali Spiti dirt highway in India.
Please avoid night travel as the dirt highway is in a bad state because of widening works going on as BRO is on the job. If you really want to enjoy it as us, go only if you are a mountain travel enthusiast and if you are driving on a real SUV only.
There are no mobile signals 45 km before the lake and you are network dark in the region. The traffic is really scanty and even more spooky at night. there are a plenty of small rivulets on the road, the water of which rises at night time due to the glacier melting in the daytime which reaches the roads by late evenings.
Do not swim in the lake as drowning is common due to the altitude effect and hypothermia.
So, no one - no one can stop an adventure freak. get hold of the courage and suitable equipment's and go ahead.
