And now with the teaser out, I can only imagine what will happen. One thing I do hope happens, is that Kratos will return to his old world to get the blade of Olympus to help him in Ragnarok. I mean, if they can bring back the Blades of Exile/Chaos in GOW4, then you can only imagine what they'll bring to the table in the next one.

One critical point we all miss is that without his allies, Kratos would've failed in all his endeavors.
With Olympian allies he defeated Aries and with the help of the Titans, he was able to defeat the Olympians.
But his Allies helped him only cause they saw him as a tool to be utilized.All Except his Spartan Army who stood by him long after he had fallen.

If Kratos has the sword to take down Odin in the next god of war, it could be a catastrophe if Odin possesses the sword, because the sword is more or less powerful, based on how powerful the one who wields it is. That's why Kratos couldn't just completely destroy the colossus without going inside of it, whereas Zues probably could have.

The Blade of Olympus is such an iconic weapon. Kratos wanted to travel back in time to enact revenge upon Zeus for his betrayal but also to reclaim the Blade because of how powerful it was and it stored his godly powers, as well as to protect Sparta. I also like using the blade during each boss battle in the third game, as it is Kratos’ sword for the war. I think Cronos is the most powerful deity Kratos killed with the blade, considering how he still stood after being stabbed twice. Zeus could barely stand after short but powerful attacks, and after being impaled he barely escaped. And when Kratos killed Zeus, it was because it was a direct and decisive blow. Cronos survived one incredibly powerful blow, and even when he was defeated, he still struggled and died mere seconds after the attack. Zeus, Gaia and Athena were instantly killed.

personally i think the blade of olympus could have been used to kill baldur if he had it. it could have drained the magic that blessed him with invulnerability to all threats physical or magical. or it would have been used to make the blade so powerful it either exploded and destroyed all nine realms in an infinite loop

In all likelihood it could have worked. The Greek pantheon possessed far greater magic than the Aesir and the Vanir. I also believe that the claws of Hades could have defeated Baldur as well.

If you use Aphrodite's Garter and keep the Blades of Athena in GOW3, it keeps the Blade of Olympus magic attack, which I think is dope.
Really cool attack, but it sucks that athena’s blades are capped at the equivalent of lvl 1 blades of exile, so it does shit-all for damage unfortunately

I think I figured out how the blade of Olympus works. In gow 2018 they have the Zeus armour which make you Hella strong but sneezing at you is a 1 shot. That armour must be inspired by the blade of Olympus being so op to stop titans but make you mortal when your using it just like the Zeus armour does. That's why when kratos and Zeus where duking it out they where both semi weakened by the blade.
If that there case then it really clever and it prevents the blade from becoming another Omnipotent weapon cliche. But basically you become extreme powerful but at the cost when in use,your invincibility is gone. And considering the way ZEUS uses it(unlike kratos), it meant to be like a weapon to end a battle rather a than a weapon for combat(despite being a sword)

I just realized that during the great war cutscene you can see the green aura that teleports the titans into the future.
Which means time travel in God of war is done in the style best know by Harry Potter. In which time travel cause no changes in time, as them going backward or future was always case.

Maybe. I've always been intrigued about Athena, because her plan in fact was building an world who's likeable for everyone, but in a greed way for her part.
Well you're not wrong. If you read the mythology of Athena she actually has tried to overthrow Zeus a few times. Though she did it more politically on why she should rule Olympus.
She was extremely selfish and only wanted herself to rule and be adored/prayed to by the mortals as the one true Olympian. Yes, she was good. But using Kratos and not ridding him of his nightmares, not letting him commit suicide and making him a God of War, then telling him to do what she wants or he's supposedly bad. This whole thing is a family dispute mostly due to Zeus's horny self. Athena even shuns down Ares all the time leading to Area's dislike for Athena. That's why he hates Zeus and wants to rebel against Olympus, Zeus's favouring of Athena. She hides her relationship from Kratos that they're both children of Zeus, sacrifices herself to save Zeus which is Olympus and gives another huge guilt trip to Kratos while not letting him finish his vengeance. Lastly, she herself goes against Olympus after sacrificing and reaching a higher level of existence aka a ghost lol. She hands Kratos the Blades of Exile and tells him how to overthrow Olympus, only to acquire power of hope to be the sole Olympian goddess and gets mad when Kratos instead releases it to the humanity across Greece. And she still haunts Kratos when he's moved to Norse world. There's a theory I believe that she's the one who's told Freya about Kratos's past and will play an important role in Ragnarök which I believe. After all, this is the same goddess who got jealous of her devotee, Medusa for having beautiful hair, and then curses her to be a monstrous snake head for being raped by Poseidon.
If kratos has time travel why didn't he go back in time and prevent him from killing his wife and daughter or more even helping himself in fight with babarian so the story wouldn't even have started but the trick they do in this games are awesome so I like it 🤠

When kratos opened Pandora's box the evils of the World spreas to the gods hera got gluttony that why she was always drinking for example and the evil of fear consumed zues that's why he strikes down karatos in god of war 2 after helping him in god of war 1 as he was fearful that kratos will kill him for the throne of the king of the gods ( you can see fear escaping in the way of black smoke when kratos killed zues) , and similarly karatos was consumed by the evil of rage which made him blind to all else but his goal of vengeance, he was just too angry to think of anything but about how zues wronged him and thus the thought of saving his family didn't occur to him

Atreus is lucky he doesn't have the Kratos from God of war 1 to God of war 3. Zeus is the most powerful God among all Gods in God of war series and blades of Olympus is the most powerful weapon ever, just imagine Kratos using Blades of Olympus in God of war Ragranok and further in future God of war games. Just imagine Kratos having blade of Olympus again and we see old Kratos in Ragnarok. What a time to be alive.....

the blade if you play the game of gow2 you will see that Zeus tells kratos to hold the blade and it drains kratos's power this means if Odin or thor got that blade kratos will be fucked up really bad because blade is loyal to no one but to any god.. and kratos is still half god Odin and Zeus or thor are full God's it will be really bad idea to give Odin the blade of Olympus
btw since kratos is fully healthy now he still have the power of hope inside him or any other godly power that brought him to live
