Awesome track. Loved it the moment I stepped into the cellar of that Slocum's Joe - and I didn't even know why it played there at the time. The hints of Morse code, while the instrumental bits remind me of James Bond music. Very fitting for the secret agent vibe the Railroad has going. I really don't get why they seem to be unpopular. I often like rooting for the underdogs. Their precarious situation makes them more appealing to work with, not less.
They are unpopular because they do some things to an extreme - like going after the brotherhood, or being laser focused on synths, or maybe like thinking previous generations of synths are worth saving. Or them wiping memories of synths. Every faction has some major issues.. it's sort of an annoying aspect of the game. Railroad would have just been a way better organization with some small tweaks. ALSO one can argue that if they see Synths as a living creature worth saving, then maybe vaporizing the only place synths are born is.. awful? Still, given all that, I really liked this organization and all the other aspects of it. The theme is incredible alone.
@@SnakeRoadComicsOfficial3677 I think the minuteman do this in a better way (indirectly of course) by ending the institute and suporting the sprout of life and society in the commonweatlh. Also, they don't erase/modify synth's memories. The railroad says the procedure is for theirs protection and that it only occurs under the permission of the synth, but i think this is BS since the synth is emotionally unstable and it's ability to make decisions (in this case a BIG decision) is tainted. I really just choose railroad cuz they are cool af.
In standard gameplay Railroad is best, in Survival gameplay BoS is best (can't beat vertibirds available throughout the game), in the lore the Institute and Minutemen cooperating are the best for the Commonwealth. Perfectly balanced!
Even though I exterminated the Railroad Because Captain Kells ordered me too, they have a good theme. I accidentally discovered the switchboard and heard the theme and realized it was a railroad theme. That’s why I’m here. I really like it.
My favorite things in the game: Castle Theme and Railroad Theme. I love the so much. :3 I of course love the music on the Prydwen, but Maxson is an asshole. *Danse is still best girl though*

Railroad are nice and mysterious. They are being the good guys... only problem is their doing it wrong. Yes they are trying their best but they never asked for help, from others instead made enemies from them. But thats were Sole Survivor comes in.
>They never asked for help umm..........what? They ask for help all the time. Did you forget about all the "Join the Railroad" tapes they leave literally EVERYWHERE? That's their recruitment method. It's been a thing since FO3, where the protagonist is ALSO asked for help.
although the overall design in this game is questionable, the Railroad is a cool faction, no doubt. I don't like the Minutemen since I realized that they're just a bunch of loosers with silly muskets and clothes, PRETENDING to be a recognizable armed force. so it was supposed to happen that they ended up being ravaged and scattered. they can't do anything without the help of MC. it is safe to say that the Minutemen are a 'pocket faction' for a player. as soon as I got tired of crafting and building settlements I dropped this crap and started a new game. on the other hand the Railroad has many ways to affect the world. everybody talk about them, everybody either like or despise them. but it turned out they are just a small group. threatened of being annihilated, acting here and there from the shadows. they are this subtle and intelligent force I missed, since there are no Followers of the Apocalypse (my favorites in all Fallout universe) in F4. in other words, the Railroad is my FA in F4. no wonder they have an outstanding OST. though I've never finished the game. it's too big and more importantly - it's like a woven blanket, made from far too different pieces of content, some of which are awesome and the other are not, to say the least

They would be amiss to not put this in the new Fallout series. Amazing track.
The Railroad for me is the best in my opinion, because of the Ballistic Weave and their sickass Railgun.
And protecting sentient Synths
