Brother I have to say you’re one of the most talented machinist and fabricators I’ve ever seen the quality and craftsmanship of your work bar none incredible love the videos keep up the great work!!!!
I’m looking at a full top end rebuild on my CBR 919 engine. Had water in it as well. Was able to get it pretty cheap it’s just repairing what damage has been done. Needs all new clutch plates, the clutch basket, cylinders need honing, new piston rings, wiring harness needs to be made from scratch or just use the old one, etc. once I get that right I’ll start modifying the existing buggy frame I have for the motor. Love your channel. Get a lot of inspiration from you 👍
It’s nice to see you keeping this build a more reasonable compact size so you can actually fit it on your trailer unlike the VFR1000 that sticks out the back and barely fits between the side rails.
Keep up the good work friend! I support you 100procent. I know what its like to maintain a channel. Its fun! But its also hard work you have to put in😃👍
Love your work man. Craftmanship is on another level. The only thing i would say is to get away from that early 90 frame look. Make them look more modern like today's utvs. Other that top notch man.
I'm just saying a lot of his project have the same style frame. Yes they work. But they are all starting to look very similar. Changing it up a little would be sweet.
You taught me a new technique Chris!!! I absolutely dig the shit out of using the piece of sheet to keep everything flat while you tack it. Funny how long I've been a mechanic/fabricator and NEVER thought of that. This is my favorite project of yours by far. Love the dimensions and design its gonna be badass. By the way, you can look up ways to simplify all the vacuum lines. Plug unnecessary openings and put breathers on openings that vent the crank case. I recommend doing a catch can instead of the PCV, you're gonna need it trust me. K&N makes an aftermarket air box for all superbikes, maybe look into that as far as the garbage you probably dont need on the OEM box. It's all emission bullshit anyway. It's easy, you're an extremely intelligent dude you can figure that shit out I have faith. If you would have bought an R1 engine I could tell you absolutely everything you would ever need to know. I've owned 7 R1s. I have a 2018 R1m right now and it's by far the most incredible motorcycle in the world. I smoke every other liter bike and all I have is full graves race exhaust, intake, and a chip. It makes 219 whp at 4370 feet above sea level. Plus it sounds like a really high revving V8. Spits flames between shifts and everything it's so badass.
That front end looks awesome! I'd mount the radiator up there and possibly fuel tank if there's space to give weight distribution. Plus it will look kinda like a vintage sand rail.
Not a big fan of that rear suspension but the front suspension looks really good. Also the buggy looks way better than the previous ones because it's more compact.
Hey hey Vic here, not Penny. 2:30 Nice test procedure 10:30 Me: Hey dude, don't you need to leave a little space somewhere so you can see where you're going ? Oh by the way, besides the fact that you really should brush up on shop safey... you might try some corn starch (about a teaspoon) and a couple drops of water, make a paste and put it on that burn. Cheers
Yes! Reverse trike! I want to see that thing articulate around s-curves. Go-Pro each suspension side and center in a slow motion montage! That would just set the bar so high!
I'm liking the look of the swept forward top wishbones. Don't think I've ever seen that before. There's something quite purposeful about that style. I still think you should one day build a rear engine buggy using the power train from a small front wheel drive car though. If you found an older car with points ignition and a carburettor it would be pretty much a self contained unit that you just needed to pipe fuel and power into, then 4 or 5 wires to make it start and stop. You'd have a reverse gear as standard too. If you made it with 2 seats, enough room for various engine options, and brakes all round so it can be made road legal, you might even be able to sell the plans and the rights to build them to a kit car company.
Reman1975 the car would be really heavy, I would use a 2 stroke triple snowmobile motor, or a newer twin with 160~ hp and cv trans and a lot less weight
Awesome work...I am loving this build thoroughly. Still would love to see a 4x4 build!! Every time I watch your channel I feel like building something!!

You need to build a two seater or better yet a 4x4x4 or a 4 seat 4x4. That’s some pretty sweet engineering you did on that front suspension well so far the whole thing is sweet.
Safety brother. I've done the spinning metal of death in the drill press and the weld burn and they're never fun. I would recommend a drill press vice, and if I lived closer, I'd definitely come give you a hand with wiring. Love doing that stuff.

Fella you are an amazing builder, are you self taught on all things involved, your machining tools and welders? I can't wait for this cart to roll out, it's going to be a beastly fast mover!
The vacuum pipes are for air ducts that open valves/solenoids and for map sensor. Use the original fuel tank and mount it as it would be on the bike, just behind the airbox, no need to worry about fuel pump/pipes then. Do you have original ignition/key/ecu, they are all coded (HISS). I have rebuilt these engines, the new engine did more than fall over the break like that, have repaired many crash damaged bikes but not seen damage on that part of the engine. Hopefully the top end is ok. Why do you not put a spacer between the bearings on the front hub so you can tighten the spindle fully like on a motorcycle wheel/hub?
The top a arm pivot needs to be lower on the buggy side so you gain negative chamber as it compresses making it corner much better. I just made my a arms check my video if you want . The offset a arm is great though that’s what trophy trucks do!
Front end kind of looks like The Edge Products Barracuda. 8" up 8" down for a total of 16" of travel is going to be helpful. Hopefully it's a smooth ride, hard to tell I video.
Usually you don’t want your suspension centered in travel. Especially if you aren’t getting air off of jumps. He’d be better having the buggy sit higher and have more up travel with the trails he has at Doe Mountain.
If you aren't drawing these designs out ahead of time and just fabricating as you go, you are not only a fabricator, you are also an artist!!!
He has been known to use card to get a basic shape for a part before fabricating, aside from that its mostly all in his head.
That’s how most fabricators work. If you find someone who does they likely studied engineering or similar and dreamed of working in that field.
Then got stuck making gussets at a machine shop 😅😂
