    Thank you for sharing the day in the life of a Cambridge Medical student. I heard some people saying that studying medicical at Cambridge is stressful. How many hours (on average, or during exam period) do you guys study per week?

      Hiya! Thank you for the supportive comment! So it does vary week to week and year to year, but in the year I've just had (2nd year out of 6 total) I'd say my compulsory contact hours were in the realm of 24-30 per week, with another 10-15 hours on top of self study. So total of 34-45 hours per week. That was just what I did, and I by no means topped the year (far from it lol) but I did still get a decent grade and passed everything (which is all you need to do to become a doctor!). During exam term, I'd study a lot more - so I probably studied more like 12 hours per day during the 4 weeks up to and during exams. Hope that helps answer your question!

    Hi lou :))
    do u think that pre-reading helps with your studies?

    • @life_of_lou
      @life_of_lou  2 года назад +1

      Yes, absolutely it helped with understanding the lecture content and not losing my place if I get distracted/lose focus during the live lectures. It also means I know which bits of the lecture i'll need to pay more attention to because i'll have found them harder to understand when pre-reading the lecture notes on my own before hand. I didn't pre-read in my first year but it definitely helped me stay on top of things and understand the content in second year. It also meant i was super familiar with the lecture notes by the time I came to revise as i'd already seen/read them 2-3 times :) Hope that helps answer your question!! x
