Yes it's the RIDERS and less so the boards they ride. I bet they could do these awesome tricks on an unfamiliar soft board after one trail run down the hill. Like the Japanese drivers who could drift cars that were manufactured 20 years ago. It's the person behind the machine. What we are seeing is a product of talent, dedication plus lots of practice. Great inspirations. Keep it up guys. Thanks for the great vid.
I think buttering was the easier part of snowboarding. At least for me. As well as my favorite next to curved rails and boxes. Nice. I wanna see some bonk spinning off lift poles. That shits fun.
@smilezus Hi,you're welcome!! I think that the 3rd would limit the movement a lot.I just tried it without board and I was not able to bend my rear knee towards the tail at all, which makes the tail press impossible(for me anyway) And the duck stance gives you better balance and control, makes switch riding easier and it is better to your knees.Majority of snowboarders will have between 15 and 24 degrees on their front binding and between 0 and negative 15 degrees on their back binding.
@ Allerrowow: I guess there are two reasons: first - the terrain or the slopes are rather flat, less up and down here in Japan. therefore we played ground tricks. second - several years ago back to 2000-2002 there was a big boom of ground tricks promoting by a group called "手狂協会"...there are several ground tricks competition every year here in Japan.
any board from soft to very soft can do this tricks, dont matter the brand, but like everything is not what they are using, is the RIDERS...for people who are asking what kind of board they are using check, hate from burton, artifact from rome, flat park from signal, these are just examples of boards, normaly rocker boards help but there are camber boards that will do the job like the artifact
@liltimir tahts a good place to get your balance as a begginner but it is nothing like snow especially cause your moving it is very hard(to learn)but it is my favorite skill that i have in snowboarding so keep practicing.
@mustasoda crazzzy high wheelies. The sickest is 180s and 360s from manual to manual, couple of these dudes had it so smooth its ridiculous, one after another
@classclown14 Doing stuff like this is way harder on a regular cambered board. These guys will all have flat or rockered boards, which means yeh they are more bendy and soft because of the shape. Look up camber and rocker if you want to know more
@frankiecoldmedina boards are more about personal preference, just go practice. In the end certain equipment might be more fun than others in a certain situation but not buying a certain kind of board won't keep you from being able to do certain things on it. Certainly.
@GoldCoastShippingCo ok, thanx a lot, and what do u think if using the 3 one, how much would it limit my possibilites (balance, movement ...) when doing such ground tricks, or u just have to learn it and u can do it with any type of bindings stance ? thank you
@mecagoenelputoyou Hey,no problem:-) Smilezus was asking about binding angles. You are right about the boards and RIDERS.I just got my first rocker,Burton Blunt(it was cheap) and yeah,it is much easier for flat tricks than my good old Option Vinson164 xD
If I got the Ride Kink, do you think it'll have too much flex to do these tricks? I'm by no means close to having the skills these guys have but would like to have to proper gear when trying to learn. Does anyone know what kind of boards these guys are riding?
@classclown14 Look online dude, anywhere you can buy a snowboard you can buy a rockered or flatline board, or go into a board shop and get some advice from the staff there :)
@smilezus sorry but i dont think the same us goaldcoast, for me flat park is the best all around board ive tried in a long time, sure you dont press the same way us the other 2, but this is just because the other 2 are rocker boards, but is soft enought to press without problem, very stable at high speed and on kickers. rockers boards are less stable at high speeds. i guess it depends on the snowboard your in to.defenetly im not only a jiber
@classclown14 I ride a DC PBJ 2010 157 cm and its pretty buttery and a rocker and can do all this. If you buy the 2010 version of PBJ then you can get it for cheap. I bought mine for $180 :D
hey, i would just like to ask- what angles for bindings are supposed to be used when doing such ground tricks with soft bindings such as in this video. e.g. - like this _\_/_ or _|_|_ or _\_\_ if any1 can help i would appreciate that. thanx

No matter how long you practice for, no matter how dedicated you are, no matter how hard you try... someone in Asia will ALWAYS be better than you.
Awesome video. Japanese cats killing it with the swagged out butters

lmao goood shit! I got you on the 360 tail whip thing, but thats it haha that look like a raw ass mountain!
@smilezus Hey,I would recommend the first one (Duck Stance)
The second one..not so practical in any riding ;-) and the last one is better for carving.
Board is super soft. Cool stuff in Japan.
Tuche' haahahaa I give you guys props man straight up killed it. Bout to catch a young blonde skier in the mouth with a roundhouse lol

This is sick. What boards are they riding?
@classclown14 Doing stuff like this is way harder on a regular cambered board. These guys will all have flat or rockered boards, which means yeh they are more bendy and soft because of the shape. Look up camber and rocker if you want to know more
Sick!! Love this vid!
I am not sure if he rides regular or goofy, but it's either a 'nose block' or a 'tail block'
@frankiecoldmedina boards are more about personal preference, just go practice. In the end certain equipment might be more fun than others in a certain situation but not buying a certain kind of board won't keep you from being able to do certain things on it. Certainly.
3:07 whoa!
Dude this was cool;-)

also try the burton hero for a v rocker that doesn't restrict you to the park. Hate's def. a great board for this though.

@mecagoenelputoyou Hey,no problem:-) Smilezus was asking about binding angles.
