Kansas City Missouri here and I remember my mom having those recipe cards and it came in a green plastic box and she tried a few but I cooked one of them and it was for lentil soup and I’m a fan of lentil soup have been forever and I’m 69 and it was the best lentil soup ever and when she passed away I tried to find those cards to get that lentil soup recipe but I guess in the years as she got older somebody threw it away because when I made it I was I think in my 20s or early 30s and it was just so good and haven’t had that good since.
I was just in the Kansas area and went to the bins on Saturday. I believe it’s the one you are at. My daughter goes to college nearby so anytime I go to drop her off I make a point to go. I also make a trip to a small thrift store.
Those pretty plates at the Bins are considered glass. Glass is only 29 cents a pounds!. I heard that Ks city bins is suppose to move in April closer to the state line I seek out copper ware ;transfer ware; metal candle sticks. Great video. Thanks
can you tell me where this is located at?..We tried to find it once and the address that I had, the building was empty. Love those jewelry boxes, I would have snatched them.
@@Cindy-cq8zr They started the policy of no children under 16 after Covid. Yes, it is a great idea, young children shouldn’t be in where is potential danger with the broken glass and sharp objects.

Welcome back to my area! Going to the bins is in my bucket list so I enjoyed hearing your take on ours.
Metal plates definitely old. My grandmother had them in the 1940s.

I would enjoy a video of you cooking a vintage recipe such as short ribs, meat loaf. I'm sure you would make it fun and informative 😉 ❤
Yum. Good choices!!!
I like when you go through the bins but I get anxious.

That’s nice that they don’t allow children. I think it’s sad to see the babies crying in the shopping carts when you know they are tired.
