One key aspect of the game was player height. Pique and busquets were the only tall people in barca. And even they weren't going to win headers against javi. Bayern's press forced them to go long and their players may have been good with the foot but no being able to win headers or second balls meant their attack would be pretty much useless. Bayern had 3 goals as a direct result of winning headers and 2nd balls.

2015 was Not against Real Bayern. Bayerns key players were missing. Bayern always plays over the wings. Robben and ribery alaba and martinez were all injured. 4 absolute key players. And still Bayern hold a 0 :0 in Camp nou for 70mins and Won 3 :2 at home. With robben and ribery Bayern would have Won. Bernat Was horrible against messi btw. The problem of this Barca team was that their tiki taka didnt have any direction or end point.The ball was simply passed around quickly but aimlessly.In Laliga it worked but in the UCL,Bayern broke the team down

@Srikar Iyer He has 3 opportunities against Lyon to learn from his mistakes and come up with a good plan to finally beat them. If you remember, there many city fans lacking confidence when they released City's line up for that last game.
I agree Pep's tactics were ideal for Barcelona, but he had an uninspiring last season with them because the players were not putting an extra effort as before. I don't think he would've got humiliated by Bayern, but it's very likely he would've lost to them too.

But seriously, It's not Pep's fault if the players fuck up, but it's his responsibility if every attack from Lyon is a dangerous one. If the defense is too shaky then perhaps don't commit to many men forward and learn to attack more efficiently. Relying on De Bruyne's genius is not enough for Europe.

Who got best out of muller, filck or jupp
In my opinion, flick because he has made Muller a guaranteed starter whereas under heynckes, Muller was not the SURE STARTER like he is now. I felt that under Jupp, Muller did a great job in replacing Robben who was injury prone. But under flick, Muller is the most important player. The press, attack everything starts with Muller
Flick for sure.Cause even at 31 Muller is outperforming his XG and XA.Under Niko,Muller was an outcast in the team.
But Flick was successfully able to bring him to a top level.
Under Jupp,Muller was still learning.He was on his way to being the best he can.So i would tend to feel Flick was the best coach for him
It's hard to argue with the two comments above and I agree that it's Flick. Hansi has referred to Thomas as the "coach on the pitch" in how he directs the team in the press. His work rate has been phenomenal in attack and defence to go along with record assist numbers in the Bundesliga for last season. It's been a real renaissance for Müller playing under Flick, he's been nothing short of outstanding.

@@user-ml3ct5rt2f well the question was specifically either Flick or Jupp so I was just answering the question. I agree with you though, Müller was definitely a great player under Pep and an important player in his system. His partnership with Lewandowski was fantastic during Pep's 3 seasons in charge and his return to form under Flick has reminded me of that at times.

@@terserahdah2218 He wasn´t terrible in that season, my man got 60 goals and 17 assists in 50 games in that season. The problem was that in the final part of the season he was injured in almost every game.

@@robertruiz2142 Chelsea Spurs Barca Tuchel's PSG are easy teams? I distinctly remember Barca being all hyped up after the Napoli 3nil win. Against Chelsea & Spurs there were both home & away wins. It's only against Lyon and Barca there was one fixture and Barca pretty much got the drubbing of two legs combined. What Pep couldn't do in 4 years, Hansi achieved in half a season. The teams weren't easy, Bayern 2020 were so dominant, they made them look below average.
