Rukhsati is about leaving your family to go and live/adjust with your new husband. Its not about you'll see them the next day lol. Its about not living with them anymore and kinda moving families? Everyone starts crying because they either remember their rukhsati or imagine that they are also going to have to leave their families one day. Weddings seems like too much stress lol. My husband and I are still thinking if we should have a wedding ceremony or not, but as you said Sebina, you have to compromise. And to be fair, there are no such thing as "not having a wedding" in the Bengali and the Turkish community and traditions😂
