My POURING MEDIUM
Behr Dynasty deep base semi-gloss and minwax polycrylic (roughly 2:1) from Home depot
And thinning to the right consistency with JoSonja gloss varnish (Dick blick, jerrys artsarama or Fluidart.co)
Paints mixed with my PM:
amsterdam - oxide black
JoSonja - aqua
Golden - magenta mixed with TLP Showpony
TLP - macaw,
The magic juice/Cell activator is mixed with australian floetrol. (1:1)
paints added:
golden - deep gold
amsterdam - oxide black, titanium white
The wall paint I use for my PILLOW PAINT is Glidden essentials 'white' in eggshell

THE SPINNER I'm using is my own design and creation. Every single work step is done by my hands and my table saw (operated by me)
I sell these on my homepage and if you want to up your game and create on big canvases, you seriously should check it out!
DISCLAIMER: It's a tool for serious artists, I always recommend getting a small , cheaper spinner to try if spinning is your thing first. After you've tried other versions, I promise you'll appreciate this guy over all of them if you work with big heavy canvasses and you spin all the time, like me.

These were fun! Since I began using a silicone mat draped over my spinner(large ones I cut to fit, for cheap on Amazon) no more flyaways. Super easy to scrape and then sponge off between artworks. And at the end of my session, I let the paint dry and it's fun to peel up the next day. I use a huge one as a drop under everything and that makes discarding or recycling dried paint easy too.

I am not a big fan of cells, I loved the way you went under some of the cells and sort of moved them. Very interesting and turned out so well!

I like the idea of using silicone but how do you get it to stay on the spinner? Are you attaching it somehow? #DoNotSpinCuzofFlyingCanvas
@@7fossilfiend the silicone mats have a shiny side and a mat side and both cling to whatever is put on them so nothing moves without some actual effort to remove them or change positions....if you stuck it to a window it wouldn't fall off very quickly. It basically just naturally adheres to whatever it comes in contact with.

No. The different consistencies are the trick. Check out my recipe tutorial from a few weeks ago. I explain everything in that

That’s my favorite too! I use the sherwin williams color to go and have it tint the color I want it to be.

The cell activator needs to be the last layer of my swipe. It’s the one with Aussie floetrol in it. So, no my base paint is regular wall paint straight out of the can, nothing added

Around 3-5, I would say. The runnier the base paint is the thinner the layer will be.
Hi Jessica, I’ve just come across your channel and absolutely love your work! I had a question though…for your pillow paint, do you mix it with anything? I live in the UK and the house paint over here is really thick and doesn’t spin out very well! x
Hi Kimberley and welcome!you can add some water but not more than 10%. We don’t want the binder in the paint to weaken. If you can find an liquid acrylic binder like GAC800 you could try this to thin your wall paint. I’ve seen people from the us use „Valspar express coat silk“ that seems to be a good consistency. I know it’s hard to find the right stuff. It took me months and lots of money. I hope this helped a little
