My only problem with this theory is that I just don't see how hiding 41 character slots would be financially beneficial for Bandai (they only care about money, so if it isn't beneficial financially then It's very unlikely to be the case.)
@@NOAHSRANT. I thought 41 might've been overkill but those slots are for classic characters who were traditionally in Budokai Tenkaichi games. However there **are** 164 characters (from what we see so far) which is probably the most playable characters in a game... ever, which also include characters that are barely playable in any other DB game like King Cold and Babidi. The characters have always been a big part of Tenkaichi games. The way I think about how the marketing will rollout is like how Nintendo did for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. A "Everyone is here!" They're putting characters in Sparking Zero we haven't seen in pretty much any DB game in literal decades at this point. But we will see.

to be fair 164 is already more than the original bt3 and each character is made from scratch with completely different movesets all reanimated and tested, so to to add all these super characters on top of the ENTIRE original roster is pretty unrealistic (at least for base roster) and from a business standpoint it makes sense to sell the unfinished or cut characters as dlc so fans of those characters can have there cake. Plus it would be better for the game because that gives the devs time to make maps, story mode missions and what ifs true to those original works (for example it wouldn't make sense for them to only add 2 gt characters with no or only one map to go along with them when every other series got their full representation and respect)
@domonicstubbs984 Sparking Zero has been in production for 5 plus years, so I honestly don't think it's a stretch to believe they'd market more characters past the 164 character count for the base roster. GT and movie characters were a part of the Budokai Tenakaichi series so I don't see much of a reason for them to be not a part of the base roster. It would certainly be good for buisness to make them DLC, free or otherwise but it would just be weird. If we look at the post launch DLC packs, we see that Daima and Super will make up the 20 plus characters. Where would GT and movies fit into all of that? When would we get those characters if they are to be DLC, hypothetically speaking? Also, 164 characters being the final base roster has actually not been confirmed for a fact I believe. Sure, we may see that the hex count is 164 but there could be more to it. Because to me the marketing seems very fishy. I agree though, 164 characters is a very good amount to have for base and for the most part, from what we have seen from a lot of these characters they seem to be more uniquely developed.
