Jimmy's mannerisms while "assisting" iChang in the kitchen is exactly how I am when "helping" my wife in the kitchen - we're anxious to help but because we're not good in the kitchen, we end up being just chat buddies in the kitchen instead of actually helping with the cooking! 😁
Thank you for not giving up and still producing alternative video content. Just a small token of thank you and encouragement 🙌 Hope iChang and Jimmy look after yourselves well.
I really enjoy this episode. Cooking at home and enjoying it at picnic is a brilliant idea, better than the outside food reviewing. I love to see how both of you work together in the comfort of your kitchen and spending quality time together.
Yeah indeed. I've always much prefer their cooking videos (when they were still in HK). Hope iChang and Jimmy will do more cooking videos - i think it'll be much more relaxing than having to run/drive all over to eat food all the time yeah?
Actually Ichang & Jimmy, the two of you have brought out the good side of Malaysia which we took for granted. Both of you are able to make very small things beautiful - ,u know how to enjoy life. May God bless you n protect u.
You guys are the only RUclipsr that managed to get me to LIKE your video even before I started watching. Watching your channel is a pleasure. Both of you are very genuine and humble
Yes yes I’ve been wondering what you guys do for basic Japanese cooking. This was fun to watch. I make Japanese food at home often. I just learned that you can add bonito flakes to spinach. I’ll do that next time! Usually for creators that have grown to your size of viewing, they will start to hire interns or and people to help grow the channel. Don’t take all the stress of creation on your back
I hope both of you are doing better now. Love this new type of videos. Maybe iChang can teach us more on how to cook Japanese Food. And maybe with local ingredients. When going for picnic, we always packed our own coffee. Because iced coffee will surely get melted if use plastic cup like that😂 we use tumbler. A good one. So the coffee stays cold for a long time.
This is your real content iChang, sometime in the kitchen sometimes enjoying the environment. The trutly Malaysian is makes a life love in simple routines.
Not a sabahan but Sabah is a must go for you guys as it is one of the best place for picnic, camping and healing experience! Such as Kundasang and Polumpung Melangkap if you want a Switzerland or N.Zealand vibe! The islands there are one of the best too!

I can imagine Ichang fans bringing the rice cooker filled with nasi lemak and big containers with lauk-pauk and desserts to SHARE with everybody. That is the Malaysian style of picnic. Hahaha
This video is so lovely it warms my heart and also it reminds me of your old videos where both of you just enjoy each other's company while doing daily stuffs and activities you both enjoy 🥺🩷
I juz watched yr video. You are right Jimmmy, ppl juz want to see you and ichang enjoying Malaysian hospitality. I am very happy to see u guys enjoying simple everyday life here. Make more video.
Ichang & Jimmy there are few nice hiking spots in KL/PJ such as “ah pek hill aka bukit saga”, ketumbar hill, bukit tabur, kutu hill etc. perhaps can try out if both of u keen on hiking activity.
For me, I enjoy watching vlogs that allows me to experience life in another family “virtually” or observing life of another perspective. It opens my mind and helps me to learn to connect with other people that are different from me and helps me to embrace diversity. Not every family has the same resources and opportunity to experience differences and people mostly keep to their ways and traditions. Before the age of Internet, I used to wonder how different family and people live and behave. Are they same like me ? If not, what are they that I can learn from? So I thank you , IChang and Jimmy for sharing your thoughts for eg about the timing to drink the coffee. Do we still follow the common society rules even when we are by ourselves .. or do we want to be our real selves in private? How open are people in general or are we bound to traditions or upbringing of our parents? I also enjoy watching vlogs by a Thai family blogger which is so natural , Sweet Life Lanta. Your this vlog is natural and refreshing. 😊

Hi ichang & Jimmy. Suggesting you visit Taiping for few days. There're lots of people going picnic at the Taiping Lake Garden. Taiping is a place for you to enjoy stress free life. 😊😊😊.
Agree. Taiping is so relaxing and calm. The lush green give you inner peace and that garden is so spacious. I'm sure there's enough space for ichang and others to lepak2 and eat.
Please do more vlogs like this so that we can learn more about the Japanese culture. By understanding more about your culture, we can avoid offending the local people when we spend our holidays in Japan. 😊
I appreciate listening to your down to earth n enriching simple conversation related to wide range of topics which i can relate too. Hello to both of u! Hopefully u enjoy your picnic at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. It's my fav to go place. There is mist forest at the center and kids pool too. They added new activity such as kayak and paddle boat! I always go to Titiwangsa on weekdays and weekend. Usually on Monday, the park will be extra dirty. Lots of rubbish from Sunday. What a shame. Oh and if u need more place to visit, u can go to Selayang ( known for their kite activity), Taman Tugu Negara and Taman Botani Perdana. Enjoy!!
This is a nice video, and I’m so glad to see the cooking part! The park does look lovely and I really enjoyed your conversation about life expectations and Plan B. I hope more of your audience would appreciate these anecdotes that you so subtly insert in your conversations. For those who say the video is too long, perhaps you could insert markers in your videos - eg 1:00 topic A, 3:17 topic B etc. My colleagues do that for some longer work-related videos we create and some people find that useful. Either way, this is a nice video and your content is very unique. Thank you for sharing your lives and thoughts.
Love your one hour format. Keep it up please! I used to go to school around Titiwangsa, in fact I used to play at that same tree 40 odd years ago. Feels so nice to see you enjoying the area now I live on the other side of the world. The picnic classic menu for me is Bihun goreng/nasi lemak Pisang goreng for dessert Teh O for the drink All served at room temperature
Nice to see you enjoy Taman Tasik Titiwangsa but the weather in these few months is unexceptionaly hot making it very uncomfortable even for us Malaysians. To the Japanese , I personally feel embarrassed at the sight of the garbage thrown at the entrance and food stalls . I wish the people have more concern about throwing rubbish indiscriminately . For your information , the lake or pond you mentioned was originally a mining pool. I used to stay in that area more than 40 years ago and at that time it was a grassy area with a few trees here and there . In the 80’s Kuala Lumpur City Hall developed the park and it has become beautiful ever since. They have small concerts , events and activities made it a joyful to be. Hearing you talk about choices and alternatives, I agree with a ‘Plan B’ option so that we can move and not stay fixed not knowing what to do. It is more like a survival thing and we Malaysians adapt to this style. If something comes as a barrier, we at least try avoid or find a different alternative and hopefully things come to a good end.
What's nice about both of your is that listening the conversation of husband and wife, husband and wife tend not to talk like you did, it became less and less. For Malay Malaysian, picnic foods are nasi lemak,/meehoon goreng/ mee goreng/ nasi goreng or sardine sandwiches. You must also bring portable fan since it is hot .
Hi Ichang and Jimmy, glad that you have fun at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. Last time Titiwangsa got horse stables too where you can ride the horse or take the horse carriage but Im not sure whether they still have it post Covid. Just an idea which i have been thinking for quite a while. You could do more Japanese cooking and show it in your channel. Malaysian including myself are very curious and love to learn how to cook Japanese food ourself. The food you make in this video seem so easy to make but yet delicious😊
A fan "picnic-meet-up session sounds like a good idea. You may want to rethink if each bring their own food (a bento box like what you're doing now) as Malaysians love to share. Maybe it'll be good to get the response from those keen if doing a "potluck" style will be more fun but you need to set a limit of the number of persons. A suggestion is to start small, say for the first round, target 10 person so that each can bring food enough for ten to share and if all goes well which I believe it'll eventually be, you can gradually increase the number of participants over time. As planning takes time, you may want to have it once every 3 months. Give this a thought and see what your audience think of it.
Love this format of video of yours .Simple and SLOW DOWN.I kind of understand that Japan is fast and very strict country. I mean you guys will feel the tension if you guys don't delivered your best .But in Malaysia we kind of enjoy this type of slow pace .Because Malaysian don't really like the tension of fast pace activities. Hope the inspiration of idea for your content will overflow to you 🤭..
Ichang, the bento boxes you made look so delicious and healthy. I feel so inspired to recreate it. Thank you for the guide on how to make it simple. Arigatao❤❤
Good morning to you! I am so glad to see Jimmy eating a healthier meal from home! I think you can help enlighten and encourage Malaysian people to eat a more healthy type of food by showing them how you make it at home. Malaysia has highest number of diabetes and its due to the food. It’s delicious, but too much of it is dangerous! Please create more simple meals so that your audience can be encouraged and motivated. The heat has been awful, so picnic in the evening is probably more sensible! ❤
Hi IChang. I enjoyed watching you cooking simple Japanese meal like this. Sometimes, i get bored too, eating Malaysian style cooking, eventhough i cooked it myself 😆. Please2 do more Japanese cooking style video.. Arigatou..
Titiwangsa is always a spot for office family days and such, so don't worry about having your fanmeeting there 😉I remember when I was little my parents' office often have their family day here because there's so much space for everyone. usually they had it at the spot where you were walking to at the end of the video. there's a huge square there.
Thanks for the Titiwangsa park picnic and cooking at home video. My first choice for picnic is also Frim before Frim changed the main Frim area into a staff quarters and private enclave. Used to enjoy cycling and walking the many trails before the MCO.

Titiwangsa is always a spot for office family days and such, so don't worry about having your fanmeeting there 😉I remember when I was little my parents' office often have their family day here because there's so much space for everyone. usually they had it at the spot where you were walking to at the end of the video. there's a huge square there.
I love the cute and firm NO when ichang tells jimmy no to cheese in the omelette 😂
Another great video Jimmy and ichang! Just be urself,we will keep supporting you no matter how!❤
Fans meet-up picnic. Great idea. 👍
A good idea & place for healing❤. Thanks ichang & jimmy!
Thanks for the Titiwangsa park picnic and cooking at home video. My first choice for picnic is also Frim before Frim changed the main Frim area into a staff quarters and private enclave. Used to enjoy cycling and walking the many trails before the MCO.
Very healthy picnic lunch box and love this episode 😇😇😇 feel more relaxing
Feels like it's been a long time since we got to see iChang and Jimmy cooking! And with Kimonomom sauce! Did you guys get to meet up? Wish there was a way to tag her in here so she and Moto could see...🤷♂️
