Road Trip - Nairobi to Zanzibar - Intrepid Travel - Part 5: Zanzibar

We joined Intrepid Travel’s overland tour from Nairobi Kenya to Zanzibar. This is a camping road trip with stays in Mto Wa Mbu, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, Usambara mountains, Lushoto, Dar esSalaam, Zanzibar Stone Town, and North Beaches of Zanzibar.
In this episode, we start on Day 9 in Dar es Salaam with breakfast.
We then leave the overland vehicle behind and walk to the ferry terminal to take the ferry from Dar es Salaam to Stone Town in Zanzibar.
Along the way, we see scenery of the centre of Dar es Salaam as well as of Zanzibar from the ferry.
When we arrive, we load our luggage into a van and walk to Shangani Hotel where we spend the night.
After a brief view of the room, we walk around stone town and the beaches in the town, then end the evening by eating at the night food market in Shangani Gardens.
On day 10, we have breakfast on the roof top restaurant at the Shangani hotel, then go on the Spice tour. After the spice tour, we have lunch at a mama place, then are transported to the Northern beaches in Zanzibar, where we check in to the Amaan beach bungalows and see the rooms.
We then relax on the beach for the afternoon, and before dinner, take a walk along the northern beaches of Zanzibar and explore Nungwi beach.
On day 10, we go snorkelling then relax by the pool at Amaan bungalows.
Day 11 is not featured in this video as it consists of just transportation back to Stone Town after breakfast.
