The scene where the mom is chasing him scared the shit out of me...and the part was he was screaming “mom” while she banged her head on the attic door sent me into a ✨panic✨

Wow, at 12:55ish~, the room to house dub... First time I noticed. I've watched a lot of ppl react to this movie and you're the only one to catch that lol you got some sharp eyes
You should do a video watching Promising Young Woman. I think you would have fun screaming at all the male characters, and the movie is really sad, especially at the end, but is still great. The acting is great, the theme is heavy and is rarely explored in Hollywood, and it isn’t scary so you won’t need to take a sanity break, except for maybe at the end.

Honestly one of the most fun times I had in a theatre watching this. People started losing their shit when the mom was crawling on the ceiling lmao
OMG
IT must've been an EXPERIENCE seeing this in theatres..
sounds iconic tbh
I literally almost started crying the way she was silently scuttering hit such a horrific chord with me
@@Khamthegoblin I saw this at a midnight screening with about 10 other people. It was SUCH an incredible experience, both the shock of the driving scene, and the slow horrified realisation as they hold sooooo looooooooooong on THAT SHOT (you know the one), as one by one you hear the audience members go 'oh fuck' as they see HER, up there.
I walked out of it at like 2:30 still being shaky but having enjoyed it a lot - and then I went to bed, and the images just wouldn't leave. (Specifically the Charlie effigy at the end, grey skin, gaping mouth and glazed eyes.) And then I hardly slept. 12/10 would go see again though
@@stijnvanrijsbergen8255 GOD DAMN
I need to find like.. 5 people that haven't seen it and force them to watch it in a room together, and just watch the terror
Toni Colette’s acting MADE this movie horrifying & one of the best.. can’t change my mind
“I thought I was in for scares, now I need to check in for therapy.” Literally the best way if summing up how one feels after watching this movie 😂
the scene with Charlie's head MESSED ME UP, like this movie is WILD
I know I’m scared to finish the video.....
Is this the scene where she wrote "if you know you know"?
bc i can't get myself to watch the movie tbh and the video was vague i guess
@@habiba6351 yes it is lol.
@@habiba6351 yes
I think It shook me so much because I tough she was THE MAIN CHARACTER!
omg the red blouse and the lighting are GIVING ME LIFE you look so good
i love this movie. it honestly didn't scare me that much, it just made me feel super sad for the family. like they were good people and didn't deserve what happened to them, and it seems like a big chunk of their life was spent on suffering or was upsetting in some way. like they could never get a break and they all died in the most horrific ways, and then paimon possesses some of them, and charlie's spirit sounded very distressed, so they couldn't rest even in death.
it's all very tragic.
edit: the brother's reaction to her sister's death was the worse part of the movie for me bc of how much i related. i, too, would just drive home, go to bed and hope it was all just a nightmare fr. like how do you react to something so awful? plus it wasn't like they hated each other. their relationship seemed pretty chill and that makes it worse.
I completely get what you mean, I think thats why it made it scarier to me it was like just a bad unfair situation getting worse
The scene where the mom is chasing him scared the shit out of me...and the part was he was screaming “mom” while she banged her head on the attic door sent me into a ✨panic✨
When Peter said”🗽” I felt that
I remember when this movie came out bc all of a sudden all of the adults in my life started freaking out when I stuck my head anywhere near the window in a car.
9:32 ash pls “lungs of steel that one” 😭
*steel
@@forestweeb95 there I made it better. Thanks English teacher 👍🏽
"why is grandma having a kiki in the middle of the woods" 😂😂😂
"Ew, I need lotion" is such an iconic thing to say lmao. Also reminds me of the vine where a girl sees the "Stress relief" lotion in the store, buys 20 bottles and just covers herself in it at home
omg that vine is by mikaela long and she makes videos on youtube now, i love her
i love mikaela!!!!
PLEASE WATCH ASSASSINATION NATION ITS ANOTHER A24 FILM
YES
It’s not an A24 film, but I definitely agree she should watch it!
The clown music when Ashley called Joannie cute LMAOOO

Ash: You want me, I want you bb, my sugar boo, you're* levitating.
Demon: *confused but shy growling*
AHAHAHA thank you for that, a year later
Love movies like this that have over dozens of clues and foreshadowing. The fact that the room door that was mysteriously opened was the grandmother's, The misdirection of the nuts and the telephone pole, "she wanted me to be a boy", Peter's pose in the classroom mirroring the statue in the treehouse, the use of miniature houses as a sign that someone else is in control, etc.
Plus: this look: 👌👌🏻🔥👌🏼👌🏿
I was eating Nutella when I realized Charlie had a nut allergy I was like “girl I’m so sorry”
Ash's outfit fit is giving me older Jamie vibes from the Haunting of Bly Manor✨
ASH HAS TO WATCH BLY I SWEAR TO GOD
@@pharb4life337 I would scream if she does
That is my favorite show of all the time. Me and my friend watch that show beginning to end. Aamazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I’m not being dramatic, but as a student anytime I hear the word grammarly it gives me war flashes. It’s everywhere.
I love how the mom's like "HOW CAN YOU BE WALKING OUT WITHOUT SHOES ON" like the issue is not that her daughter was just walking outside with a cut off pigeon head. It was that she was not wearing shoes like ma'am 😭✋
Ash you should watch Knives Out. Toni Collette is in that movie, great whodunnit movie please react to it!
This please.
Omg w Chris Evans 😌😌
I CANT WITH DUA LIPA'S LEVITATING KICKING IN OUR MOMS HEAD IN THIS MOVIE IM DED 💀
Is it the red, is it the lighting, the new hairstyle - idunno! But you look gorgeous! Also, Grammarly?! Get that bag, ma'am!
10:00 I literally went “AUNT LYDIA!?!?!? WHAT IN GODS NAME YOU DOING HERE?!?!” 🤣🤣🤣 This movie just creeps me the hell out!
i haven't rewatched hereditary in a few years and just started watching Handmaids tale a couple months ago, watched this vid and screamed the same thing OMFG i didn't realise she was in this
I was a little scared to watch even this video, so I was looking in the comments to find any trigger warnings until I saw “AUNT LYDIA,” then I was like ok I HAVE to watch it now lol
the scene with the head made me SCREAM in the theatres, and my friends had the audacity to say it isn't scary, that literally traumatised me
This movie traumatized me, my mind played tricks on me after I watched it because I kept hearing clicking😭😭🤭
Tony Collette in this film is top 10 Oscar snubs in history. Show me a performance where the actor so effectively sinks into such a pit of despair this deep, there aren't many.
"Acting like Ru Paul up in here"
- Ashley 2021
the way i thought that the grammarly part was rlly an ad bc of how ashley’s voice is exactly the same w that woman’s voice i-
SAME
YES ME TOO OMG
ashley honey we need you with red highlights asap, that lighting OHMYGGOD QUEEN
12:48 it’s common for actors to dub over scenes when something they said wasn’t clear enough out loud enough. They do it in pretty much every movie. In this case she said room but the script might’ve said house so they made her correct it
I love how the scene at 16:09 tricks you into thinking it's just an establishing shot - until you see all the cult members
ASHLEY IS FEEDING US SO WELL THIS WEEK SHE IS ON THAT GRIND. I’M CRYING FROM SOUR AND SCREAMING FROM HEREDITARY AHH
Girl I'm not sure I want to watch this with you....tbh.... but look at you rockin' that red silk satin and highlights.
im regretting it already idk how people watched it 😖
I know you’re not always the biggest fan of horror stuff, but I LOVE these types of videos. They are so funny and always make my day.
why is “i have triangles on my bedroom’s floor” the funiest shit i’ve ever heard 😂😂😂
I just watched this for the first time this past weekend. I love scary movies, don’t really get scared from them. This was the first scary in a while that genuinely creeped me out and made me uneasy. I loved it lol
You must watch “the boys”, it is an amazing show I think you would really like.
EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING
THIS WOULD BE SO GOOD
You're a damn genius.
YES
Ohh yes! Might as well add Invincible too!
Not me stalking your page and accidently being early, but anyways bestie I love your reactions😌💅
I'm convinced Ashley manifested the whole Dakota-Ellen mess. The amount of times I've seen the "I didn't even know you liked me" in her videos please 😂😂😂
this is by far my favorite look, you’re absolutely STUNNING
"we should become friends with her" My eyes started bugging outside my skull when i heard that
not ash going "is he... you know" 😭😭😭
I saw this by myself when it first came out except,,,, there was no one else in the cinema with me,, I was alone and ma'am it was not a fun time
also Ashley, this look? you TRULY came to serve 😌✨
blasting scooby do music in my background is the only way I'm not batshit terrified right now.
the vibes are completely off, so I feel like i'm in Scary Movie
I haven’t seen this video yet but it just popped up in my recommended and HEREDITARY IS MY FAVORITE MOVIE. It’s the movie that made me fall in love with cinema. I’m an aspiring screenwriter, director, actress, and movie scorer and I’m just grateful for this movie’s presence in my life. Also, Both Sides Now is originally by Joni Mitchell, my favorite singer! So Hereditary in short has changed my life for the better. Also, I have interacted with some of the cast and they’re sooooo sweet. Anyways, much love! ❤️
On another note yes she’s so very smart seeing the small details in these movies but Ashley really is drop dead gorgeous, a perfect combo
This algorithm knows what it’s doing when the first advert I get once Charlie dies is for a nut and chocolate breakfast bar 😂

Wow, at 12:55ish~, the room to house dub... First time I noticed. I've watched a lot of ppl react to this movie and you're the only one to catch that lol you got some sharp eyes
Funny that you say that he’s the May queen, Midsommar and hereditary were directed by the same guy!
Also girl you look STUN-TINGGGGG

You should do a video watching Promising Young Woman. I think you would have fun screaming at all the male characters, and the movie is really sad, especially at the end, but is still great. The acting is great, the theme is heavy and is rarely explored in Hollywood, and it isn’t scary so you won’t need to take a sanity break, except for maybe at the end.
Ash covering her face anticipating a jumpscare is EXACTLY how I watch horror movies lmao
I remember this movie inspiring such an emotion in me. Such a visceral feeling of emotion. Yes.
