I agree with this, apex WAS the best battle royal even shooter for a long time still is in my opinion, the mixture between team play and making plays that give your squad an advantage is what kept players hooked on this game but they've become more and more greedy in my honest opinion they're trying to cash out, they know the game is dying and on life support and unfortunately rather than trying to fix the issues they would rather cash out (I hope I'm wrong as I used to love this game several seasons ago)

Even if they were to revert the changes they lost me as player with more than 4000 hours in the game and many other players already! What also doesnt help is that my account is literally missing a full set of heirloom shards since they had their big hickup last season and I lost like 30k crafting materials and all the EA support said was: Nah man your account is fine. all good. Its just embarrassing!

Imma wraith main and I own every single skin she has in game so this one just completes my collection even more. Speaking with our wallets is the only way we’ll see any kind of change for the better.

I honestly don’t care about the “monetization team” keeping their jobs when the “work” they do is finding predatory ways to manipulate players into spending. It’s gross, and remember, mtx DO NOT actually support developers. That’s quite literally a lie that even developers have stated is a lie.
If they did, it’d be front and center more often when these companies face controversy over their monetization. That would be more aggressively stated by the actual workers at these companies as something that companies NEED to do now. But instead what we hear is a lot of developers outright call them long term terrible ideas and greed fueled desires by executives and shareholders (the people who actually get a majority of this cash) They also wouldn’t do things, like what Tekken and Crash Team Racing did, and sneak them into the game after initial sales and positive reviews coverage, and lie about how there wouldn’t be mtx, if they were simply done just to “support the developers”

Don't get me wrong I'm willing to pay a little more for a better battle pass it's the fact that I can't use my coins to buy it and the price. The price would be worth paying if they would fix the servers and get a hold of the cheater situation but they haven't fixed any of the major issues

Also, although I agree game modes are good this season, it’s very low effort and copy and paste. Every game mode to this point is either “bigger or smaller” than normal, and respawn can reuse mechanics they already have and just tweak it for these new modes. There is nothing new or innovative like three strikes, solo is just -1 and they copy and paste the respawn and litter weapon system from like tdm. It’s very not innovative and copy and paste.

That's an easy choice for me: I live in Belgium and the whole event would cost me 29,000 Apex coins... Since we can't buy packs, every item is available for direct purchase except for the reactive skin, which you can only get by buying everything else: all legendary items cost 1800 Apex coins and the epic ones cost 1000 coins, so there's our price for the one Flatline skin. Oh, and no free event pack of course. I'll stay polite but that's a big nope for me. Edit: would actually cost 30,800 coins apparently, since there's one legendary item that's just 120 battle pass stars but you also have to buy it to complete the event. Honestly i can only hope it's just me being terrible at maths at this point 😂
If you don’t buy this collection event or the next one after that, it’s not an act of protest it’s a sign they need to shut the game down. Think about it, if EA starts losing money from apex legends and it stops being their cash cow why would they keep the studio or the game alive? That would be more aggressively stated by the actual workers at these companies as something that companies NEED to do now. But instead what we hear is a lot of developers outright call them long term terrible ideas and greed fueled desires by executives and shareholders (the people who actually get a majority of this cash) They also wouldn’t do things, like what Tekken and Crash Team Racing did, and sneak them into the game after initial sales and positive reviews coverage, and lie about how there wouldn’t be mtx, if they were simply done just to “support the developers”
I haven't spent a dime since I heard about the BP changes. Don't get me wrong I'm willing to pay a little more for a better battle pass it's the fact that I can't use my coins to buy it and the price. The price would be worth paying if they would fix the servers and get a hold of the cheater situation but they haven't fixed any of the major issues
Its literally thesame as before, just with no ending item. The havoc has the same pull rate as every other legendary
Actually for the legendary legend skin( except for newscastle) you can buy the skin directly
Bc i live in Belgium the only way to get the items is by buying them individually. I hear so many people being mad or frustrated That they need to gamble but i dont have That problem so i cant relate
Dropped Apex a while ago. Played since season zero and honestly everything about this game has just became unbearable and scummy.
The havoc skin should of been put in the exotic shop thats why its there lol. They scrapped the Newcastle heirloom and put a bp skin in there.
Also, although I agree game modes are good this season, it’s very low effort and copy and paste. Every game mode to this point is either “bigger or smaller” than normal, and respawn can reuse mechanics they already have and just tweak it for these new modes. There is nothing new or innovative like three strikes, solo is just -1 and they copy and paste the respawn and litter weapon system from like tdm. It’s very not innovative and copy and paste.
I quit playing when the original announcement happened, I don’t plan on ever playing again unless they actually start addressing the core issues with the game.
TBF other than newcastle u can buy all stand alone character skins. no bundles with any weapon skins but at least it is possible to get the 1 skin you wanted
Seems like they let the Havoc remain an OP weapon so that people use it alot and feel enticed to buy this recolour. A recolour that is "coincidentally" coming out when the havoc is Meta and will be nerfed afterwards. Disgusting
It’s a lose lose situation, EA makes 100 times more money from fifa. They don’t give a crap about apex, they’d prefer it die. If you don’t see that they are intentionally trying to kill the game and milking you guys as much as they can before that happens then you are just coping. Business is business and apex just ain’t worth the esport nor the maintenance

I was planning on quitting this season and halfway thru my battlepass the new battlepass system next season was announced so i immediately stopped playing and i will probably drop the game for good. Hope that people who stays wont get scammed by events and greedy shenannigans EA is making APEX team do.
It do be a known fact that content creators do and still will complain about these BP changes and making videos but will then expose themselves by buying the battlepass/collection event. My question is... will thegamingmerchant be buying the battlepass come next season?
That's an easy choice for me: I live in Belgium and the whole event would cost me 29,000 Apex coins...
Since we can't buy packs, every item is available for direct purchase except for the reactive skin, which you can only get by buying everything else: all legendary items cost 1800 Apex coins and the epic ones cost 1000 coins, so there's our price for the one Flatline skin. Oh, and no free event pack of course. I'll stay polite but that's a big nope for me.
Edit: would actually cost 30,800 coins apparently, since there's one legendary item that's just 120 battle pass stars but you also have to buy it to complete the event. Honestly i can only hope it's just me being terrible at maths at this point 😂
I played with my cousin and he bought some packs with the crafting materials he’d saved up and got the havoc skin first pack, for free. Kind wild

If you don’t buy this collection event or the next one after that, it’s not an act of protest it’s a sign they need to shut the game down.
Think about it, if EA starts losing money from apex legends and it stops being their cash cow why would they keep the studio or the game alive?

After finding out about how they're handling the battlepass(es), I immediately un-installed apex. This is garbage. There is so much more to do beyond apex
I got havoc skin from one free pack i got from challenges.I logged in in apex after a month and didnt even know it was a "special skin", i just now realised its like 2% chance to get it. I guess i got lucky.
Sadly streamers are the biggest obstacle at hindering the movement of boycotting EA’s cash grabs, TonyRomero literally bought it even though he asked his stream and it was a very solid no from chat…
And his mods proceeded to call anyone complaining "brokies". Toxic moderators supporting streamer that buys into toxic monetization

Game is borderline unplayable on pc now. They refuse to address the blatant cheating issue. And in response to out cry they try for another money grab. I don’t like playing on console but it feels like the only way to get a decent game.
I have been voting with my wallet. Since the very beginning. But a few whales are voting the other way, and they're ensuring nothing in the store will ever be affordable for the average player
EA is now harvesting as much money as they can because they see players leaving. Don't waste your money. They are not going to fix the hacker problem either. It's sad but true. Save your time and move on. It was one of the best battle royales. Everything good will end sooner or later.
