Finally got it! It was a real pain in the ass, but got it done after a few hours. Had to take a few breaks lol. It’s definitely doable and seems like a much better trigger/spring. Excited to take it to the range and really run it.
Some better angles would have really been hopeful for a first-timer like myself. I'm not overly familiar with all the parts so I had to watch different parts several times to try and follow along. I definitely could not have installed the new trigger by myself without the video, but I certainly had several instances of frustration.
Just a hint when setting the sear spring, clamp the trigger gently in your vise. It frees up you from having to hold it. That was the only tough part of the swap.
That welded trigger pack was one stubborn SOB. I finally got it out, I thought I might have fucked it up, but in the end everything worked out. Much better trigger now.
I've got the Scorpion S2 Micro, and the trigger pack is welded on mine as well. I'm not looking forward to changing that out, but really want to reduce the trigger weight.
The $9 trigger spring kit is well worth the money. Not only does it make the trigger lighter and much more pleasant to actuate. It also makes the cocking mechanism much softer, and easier to operate. This is mainly because the stock sear (trigger) spring is so stiff, and takes more force to cock the bolt back against the hammers face, but with this weaker sear (trigger) spring, it is much much easier to engage the hammer to the sear when cocking the firearm.
This video was very helpful, i have to say the trigger return spring was an ordeal for me lol. But i am very happy with the new look and functionality of my scorpion 👍
You absolutely cannot use a 5/32nd pin punch to remove that trigger pin. (its larger than the hole cuz its 4mm) I used a 3/32nd and that worked for anyone else attempting this.
Is there a list of tools mentioned somewhere that show what you will need for this install? I'm looking to buy the extended charging handle, that same trigger and new spring kit as well as the safety locks. You covered how to install all of them in this video except the charging handle but i found another video on how to install that.
OK, I'm stuck. I put the trigger in fine easy part, putting on the safety back, the holes will not line up. I have tried numerous things, but they will no line up thus the set screw will no seat.
Great vid, it's outta my league tho no kidding I'm taking my trigger n spring in to be installed by my local gun shop... they charge very reasonable prices 😎💯💪🏾
Yeah, this isn't the first time the guy has build a trigger pack. Made it look easier than it is for a guy that's never done it before like myself. Camera angles don't help
Love my HBI trigger, safety delete, & charging handle but this spring kit sucks! The disconnect reset spring is too weak and doesn't work 100% of the time.
@juncho1977 - The trigger reset should be quick and positive. One very common issue is the roll pin used to install the trigger to the sear (if not centered in the trigger) can make contact with the opening in the topside of the trigger guard and cause the trigger to drag/bind and not reset. Please email us sales@hbindustires.net and we will make sure that we get you running 100%
Having a problem with my Scorpion after trigger and spring install with right side safety delete. Can fire once then nothing. I switch safety on then off gun will shoot one round again. Any suggestions?
Somewhere between 3 and 4 minutes this was confirmed a big hell no for me 😂 However the plus is that I'm now confident I can at least install the safety delete.
So I'm looking at getting the 2016 model with the welded nut. So to do this after I get the weld off is the sheet metal housing threaded, so I can discard the threaded collar or will I have to sneak it in there with my third hand and use it as a nut to tighten it all back together ????
@Joe Dirt - The collar should be discarded after removing it. The sheetmetal housing is threaded, and the collar that you remove is actually not threaded at all. It is a slip fit collar that is placed over the topside of the screw and welded in place. After breaking the weld, the collar simply slides off, and the screw can be removed through the bottom side of the trigger guard :-)
Regarding that trigger housing screw, when you reassemble the gun and put the screw back in, do you put any kind of loctite or other substance on there to keep it from coming loose? Thank you. These videos are top notch
Hi, yes, it is a good idea to use a medium threadlock compound (ie: loctite blue 242 or 243). Another trick is to not "over-tighten" the screw. There is a sweet spot where the screw is tight and the safety selectors feel the best, it varies between lowers, but generally over-tightening the screw will cause the sheetmetal housing to pull/bind with the selector detent and actually make the lever more difficult to operate. If that makes sense?
You should only need to remove the selector knob from the right/ejection side of the selector bar. Do not remove the left side knob/selector lever. If you have pushed the entire bar into the center of the trigger pack, you will need to correctly orient the bar, then push the bar to back out the left side (side of receiver that says "CZ Scorpion Evo") in order to remove it. You may need to lift slightly on the detent arm on the right side in order to get the selector bar back through the pack.
Ran into the same problem. Incredibly meticulous and frustrating, and the detent bar is rock solid. This should have been specified in the video. There was no "make sure right side, left side, etc." it was just loosen one and pull the other through and that was very misleading and just plain incorrect.

My disconnect bar is not lining up with the hole at all, I've taken everything apart and redid it about 6 times and still nothing, what the hell happened?
You might try rocking the sear/trigger back and forth once the firing pin disconnect is engaged with the sear? Possibly try to get the two holes aligned that way?
trigger housing screw decided to strip out on me instead of coming out nice and easy like the video. Any suggestions? Do you guys sell any hardware for these?
You can try a T20 torx key, sometimes that works in place of the 3mm hex and the corners grab a bit better. We do also sell replacement screws (higher quality) in our hardware kits: hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-scorpion-evo3-trigger-pack-hardware-refresh/
Thanks for fast response! I got it out, but the first video I saw made no mention of having to drill. That's where I made my mistake. I'll probably grab one of those from you guys if I can't find anything at the shop. You might consider adding that screw to the trigger return pack, then I would've had everything I needed!
Excellent video. And to the people saying this is hard; gimme a break. Lol. I did this by hand, sitting in my recliner. Also, I drilled out the head of the bolt, not the weld. Much easier. Replaced the bolt with HBIs hardware kit
How hard would you rate this on 1-10 scale, 10 being the hardest? I'd like to do mine, but not sure I have the skills, even though I've put Apex triggers in 3 of my pistols. 1/7/20 and I just finished the trigger, spring kit and safety delete. I watched the 2017 video and it was a huge help. Thanks.
That is a tricky question because everyone has different mechanical abilities and different tools and experiences etc... But, if a flash hider is a "1" on the scale and glock/mp triggers are a "5", this might be a "6"? Only because of that single trigger return spring... If not for that spring it would probably be more in the "3-5" range on this scale? We of course always recommend gunsmith installation :-)
Yes... Unfortunately the factory screws are notoriously soft. The good news is that this makes them very easy to drill out. They are an M4x0.7 screw, approx 10mm long. You can use a 1/8" drill bit on the 3mm hex side to remove the head. Here is a video, you can skip to about 8mins in :-) ruclips.net/video/dlpgImY8B3s/видео.html
This vide was very difficult to follow. You don't mention if there's a difference between the stock return spring and the one in the kit. You don't show the shim in the kit being used in the install. You also don't show several things that require figuring out because your camera angles are awful. It took me 2 hours to do this because so many steps were glanced over or cut out, such as the safety reinsertion.
Agree... This is not a very good video. We would like to re-make it in the future. Here is another, slightly better video that we made for the spring install, it shares much of the same process: ruclips.net/video/lNC3nqu17BQ/видео.html
@@hb_industries Agreed, I was aware of that one, but, because the trigger housing isn't the same, I wasn't sure if it would apply. Never seen a bigger pile of shit than a CZ. Basically a worthless video for someone who hasn't done it before. Poor camera angles and no zoom make it nearly impossible to see what direction or orientation you are putting parts back in. You just tell us what to do and then you do it a mile away where we can't see anything. Great job.
As cheap the this kit may be price wise it is NOT worth the effort of doing this by yourself....This video may seem to make it look easy but let me tell you.....After building over 500 AR15's in my lifetime...this was not worth the time or effort

Keep the videos and new products coming. You guys are doing great work. Big fan of the EVO parts.
You guys should make a drop in trigger pack.🤙🏼
Thanks for the tutorial. I have ZERO gunsmithing experience and I installed both in about 10 minutes. again thanks for the help
