The only more amazing than the place are the people. Just amazing to see how much they love what they do and how much they appreciate the history of the place. Fantastic episode.
Thanks for showing us this great museum as well as giving us such exclusive insights, Marc André! Beautiful camera work as well, thanks to the whole team! Keep up the great work! All the best from Germany
Super!! Great production. First I thought Michael Friedman is a marketing man, then suprisingly he is head of complications, wow! What a dream of working place in the restoration department... SIGH🤩🤩🤩
Magnifique, merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo. Quel plaisir (et honneur) d'écouter Francisco, on sent un horloger passionné et extrêmement talentueux évidemment.
A lot of marketing/corporate hogwash, but that was to be expected. Beyond that, the visit was awesome, and what a wonderful place. Thanks a lot WatchesTV
wow what a wonderful video. I cant wait to visit the museum. The skeleton watch at the end in the document's room was astonishing, breathtaking. Thank you for showing us the beauty, passion and such modest expertise.
Definitely on the itinerary next summer when I’m planning a motorbike trip through Europe with two buddies who work in heavy duty steel fabrication! This will blow their minds....what you can do with ultra tiny metal work!
the energy and humbleness from Francisco (what a boss) really constrast with AP CEO ...maybe this approach would be much better Francois-Henry? great video guys!
Is it me, or from above it looks like a hairspring ? Stunning museum! Can't wait to visit it once they lift travel restrictions here in northern Italy !
MAD - simply amazing. Major kudos abs huge thanks for this trip to horological Valhalla. Just a pleasure and one I know I will watch many times again. Stay well
Great video. Well done! Portions like Gerald Genta's expertise in ladies watch and Vacheron name on AP register are fascinating. A visit to this museum is defiently part of the dream list 🙏🏻
I recently received the Millennium Watch Book that I bought from you. It is a splendid read, and I saw you have contributed in it. I just wanted to use the opportunity to thank you for the great content you create - in social media and in print. It is a fucked up year, and your work allow us to enjoy beauty, which gives us hope and optimism. I hope soon this clusterfuck is over, and I can pass by your office in old town Geneva to thank you in person. I would come with the book for an autograph, but it is a big brick. Greetings from Pully.
@@watchestv-com I am happy in particular about this video because I was suppose to visit the museum early November but I decided to wait after the pandemic. As you know, visits had to be booked months in advance, but next year for sure.
merci pour ce contenu fabuleux!!! Ce channel est définitivement mon préféré. Salutations du Québec, en attendant de pouvoir faire un tour dans la Vallée de Joux...
Fantastic tour Marc! Nicely done. I would like to comment on each segment of the tour, but it was so awesome I can't make a preference. Nice production as well!!!
Wow really interesting, I ope one day I can go there myself, maybe with you as our guide, when all this pass, I really enoy the video as you say, all the best cheers Marc
Very nice 'walk through', Thank you Marc and Co. Question: The Coin Watch wasn't shown in any detail. Was this to protect secrets? Being 'Down Under', I'm not able to personally visit these places, so thank you for going and 'taking us along with you'. I especially enjoyed the "Road Trip" series with the visit to Philippe Dufour, and the engraving workshop of Jean-Bernard Michel. Cheers Duncan
the guy 23:47 is the real deal! not those clipboard warriors from before...he knows what he is taking about...not always that shiny...but good content! thanks
Why would you have to "prove" that the repeaters were based on the womans repeater pendant watches, it would seem quite obvious that they would base the wristwatch version on an already existent repeater movement. What else would you base it on?
@@MrCarGuy Indeed, i think you are absolutely right. Very astute, I didn't think of it that way. I was asking how could one "prove" that one idea was derived from another without having a document from the inventor declaring, "i based this invention on that prior model". I confess that I am not familiar with the methods of proof in sociology and therefore could be completely wrong. Lol
Kind of a sad museum really. Seeing all of their past achievements: what they made, how incredible those watches were. Coming into now what they are: the Royal Oak (let's face it AP would likely be nonexistent without it) and unable to design a watch enthusiasts actually want to buy (i.e. Code 11:59 disaster). Too bad. Excellent video as always, though.
so heartwarming listening to the watch restorer talk about his job
He’s indeed so passionate and one indeed truly feels that, thanks for the comment
Beautiful Watches, Beautiful Buildings & Brilliant Informative Video. Thank You.
Very appreciated comment, thanks so much 🙏🙏
Now this is real education!

Timeless
Fulfilling
That Watch Restorer, am in awe!
Wow,I am totally lost for words.
And that makes us happy!

I just took a small vacation. Thank you Marc and A.P.!
Wow I really appreciate the traditional rooms too, just beautiful alpine style. Amazing work environment!
They fully restored these but keeping very true to the original, quality of material and so forth is all the way up there
OH YEAAAHHHHHHHHH What a treat for us staying seriously far away,,,, thanks Marc
Glad we made you travel in a certain way! You're very welcome, always a pleasure to do these long ones. Best to you

See the Patek museum also. Then go here. AP I would love to have that kind of light in my shop. Lucky Lucky!!
There’s some thinking behind all this for sure! Best to you
You never disappoint....seeing in the private vault...bravo!

Great great video, incredibile Museum. Giulio Papi is/was one of the most important watchmaker for A. P. 👍👍👍+ Superlike
And still is ;) thanks for this nice comment

Great stuff. Really appreciated.

Great coverage. It'd be nice to see Audemars Piguet raise the bar on non complicated mechanical movements.
This is so incredible!
Cool, thanks for this

Seems like a fun museum. Bezel nuts and screws irritate me but still nice to see the evolution of the Royal Oaks.
It's really a gorgeous place!!! Best wishes to you
Great Video. appreciated
Amazing !
Thanks!
since i can't buy that watch i'll just watch..
There you go 😉
observation: How many of you got ads for "Watch of The Month Club"?
9:00 imagine this guy guiding a kid's school tour through that museum
the real AP behind the Royal Oak.
There’s indeed so much more than the RO!!!
Excelente
Thanks 👍🙏
German Gary Oldman has a pretty sweet job.
Indeed ;) 😂
can someone please tell me what the desktop flexible lamp / magnifiers are (make and model) ? I need one!
@13:58 - That watch on the right.. Love the shape. What is it?
Sorry can't really answer this
Looks like the master restorer is wearing a smartwatch LOL
The tour guide without the French accent is so articulate and slick he could sell bottled water to a drowning man 😂😂😂
A lot of corporate blah, blah, blah-speak. But also a very cool place! A great video...
Well it happens but still very happy you enjoyed it 👍
19:04 what are the 2 pipe like devices hanging above the bench?
That have to be two bent pipes for vacuum and pressure intended to clean the watch parts.

It's probably part of a wider narrative about the womens market driving innovation elsewhere. Likely for marketing points.
