I got this blue one,such a great piece,no shap edges whatsoever ,very comfortable on my 7inch wrist .that dial is spectacular, perfection honestly. The bracelet is very thin and comfortable. I had the new seiko "go large panda" ,but it was very "large on wrist and uncomfortable". This bolova is a keeper
I bought mine about a week ago and I absolutely love it! I was undecided if I wanted the black or the white with blue dial version but I ended up with this one. The leather strapped to me seems a bit flimsy and cheap but overall I'm satisfied with it. I did get it at about $200 off on a sale so that really sweetened the deal. I do wish I would have gotten that alarm clock though. I may have to buy that one separately when I get the chance. On my 7-inch wristlet wears great by the way.. I have a hard time not wanting to wear it every single day
I already have the black PVD version and this one is much more expensive - I won't be changing to this one. It's pretty, but I like the 45.5mm case as my eyesight isn't great.
Great that Bulova (kind of) listened to the fans and reduced the size. I still think it's too big and I just can't believe that the original on Apollo 15 actually was 43mm. At 39 to 41 mm it would be a no-brainer. Lug to Lug is still way too long IMHO. Also, I don't understand the price increase to the previous version. At this price point, the watch is competing with entry-level mechanical chronographs. It will be interesting to see in which direction Bulova will improve the watch from here. I really hope their reaction time to the next version is faster.
I suspect it has to do with supply-chain issues - Bulova isn’t immune to the consequences of a multi-year pandemic. As for the price difference with the 45mm, they probably built up the inventory of the 45mm model prior to COVID, so retailers are simply hoping to clear the inventory of the old one to make room for the new versions.
Great watch, I love the blue colour. I’m hesitant though because I had the older black lunar and just got bored of it . Maybe if they made an auto or hand winding version 👍
Hi own the 45mm Black dial & the 43mm snoopy the 43mm is the same seize that col Dave Scott wore when he commanded the APPOLLO 15 moon landing so I agree with Bulova it's the right seize this watch covers history.
The only thing that sucks about the watch is that the seconds hand doesn't continuously sweep. Never realized this until I bought it. Other than that, I love it!
They could keep the diameter for me. It's the lug-to-lug that counts out smaller wristed folk more than that. It's a little smaller now than a seiko turtle, but the lug to lug is 2mm or more (depending on who is measuring) larger.
On the inner layer of the sapphire between 12-1 markers close to the 4 minutes marker, is that a speck of dust under the sapphire? It looks like it is. I ordered my watch yesterday for a good 514€ price, but I hope it won't have any quality issues 🤞
Great review! I appreciate it but a little suggestion...the video does not depict the watch in the nice blue variant basically looks black. Maybe work on your lighting...i mean if we can't get a true feel for the watch whats the point?
If you means “when you pull the crown to adjust the time, there’s an extra click because the movement has a date complication and the dial covers it up so you can’t see it,” the answer is yes. Doesn’t really affect the function of the watch and, so long as you remember to always adjust the watch clockwise, you shouldn’t run into any “don’t turn the hands back in the evening or you’ll break the movement” issues.
I just do not understand this craze for 40mm + watches. Anything over 41 mm with 50 mm lug to lug just hangs off the wrist for the average built person. Unless you are 6ft 6 with a Schwarznegger type build all these watches just look ridiculously big on most wrists.

I think the lug to lug reduction on this matters more than the case diameter to make it wear better
I had the previous version in black and sold it. I tried that one, blue, and fits perfect my 7.5 inch wrist. Really beautiful.
Nice watch. I had the 44+ mm version and sold it because my sweet spot is between 39-42mm. I was hoping they would make it in 40-42mm but oh well.

Nice-looking watch. I like the extra bracelet. Butterfly clasps are cool. I also like the leather strap.

Hi Rob, Dave Scott wore the Bulova on the surface of the moon during the Apollo 15 Mission.
When I bought the PVD, no date, version, at the beginning of '21 it was half the price of the SS, date version, at $278. Now it is more. So strange.
