It's amazing. And since this is a Villain Week think you can something new: like Top 10 LEGO Villains or Top 10 Dreamworks Villains? (It would be indeed interesting and refreshing)
Maleficent she is one of the coolest, best, iconic and greatest female villains in all the time in the animation movie of Sleeping Beauty (1959) and in the live action movies of Maleficent
Plus, considering she's voiced by the same actress who did the stepmother in "Cinderella". Not everyday you see someone voice two of the most iconic Disney villains ever and knock it outta the park twice.
I like Angelina Jolie as Maleficent and Emma Stone as Cruella de Vill they are the best, coolest and interesting casting ever in the live-action movies of villains
The other thing with Lady Tremaine is that on top of everything she does in all the Cinderella movies, she is also solely responsible for turning Anastasia and Drizella into the shallow, cruel, miserable people they are (at least until Cinderella starts helping Anastasia change).
I always felt she was one of the top villains, considering she literally provoked her daughters to shred Cinderella’s dress without breaking her deal, managed to lock Cinderella when she wasn’t paying attention and stupidly gave away by her singing she’s the one, and considering how many damn steps Jack and Gus had to climb with a key bigger than both of them, tripped the page to shatter Cinderella’s chance, and the look on her face when Cinderella pulled the other slipper out was pure terror. Not to mention in 3 she somehow managed to control the wand, which shouldn’t have worked for anyone but its owner, turned back time, and imagine if she used Drizella instead, Cinderella would’ve been crushed for the second time. But the ending Drizella and her are turned into scullery maids is effing hilarious
Ursula was definitely one of the most cunning and brilliant Disney villains. She manipulated a sixteen year old girl and an entire Kingdom. She even temporarily got away with it. In my opinion, she and Jafar are the best Disney villains because they are both cunning, clever, terrifying, and hatable yet charismatic. The White Witch and Madame Medusa gave me nightmares! She should have been closer to the top. Bellweather should have been number 20.
Ursula was the least villain-like of all of them. Ariel went to her and they made a deal and signed a contract. Lol. Lady Tremaine was way worse. She blended into society while Cinderella was locked in her room and forced to be a servant. I feel like the story implies that she killed Cinderellas father too.
@@mxsscoast_7036 Ursula literally took advantage of an emotionally distraught teenager all to get back at Triton. She then did all she could to keep Ariel from completing her end of the contract. She would have killed Triton and killed or enslaved everyone else who got in her way. You're deluded if you think she wasn't evil.
In the 1950's Cinderella, Lady Tremaine hates her because she is more charming, intelligent and beautiful than her own daughters, having better chances of finding a good match. In the live action version, after remarrying to keep herself and her daughters financially stable and happy, she's kind at first, although uncomfortable with Ella's beauty, especially when her father compares her to her birth mother, but the tipping point is when she overhears Ella's father telling her that he misses her birthmother during a party and admitting Lady Tremaine and her daughters are trying, then later after he dies and his last words are how he loved her and her birth mother. She's already taken steps to make Cinderella the servant, which she makes official after they have no income to pay the other servants, Cinderella's friends, but her daughters'' selfishness and her obsession with them rising in society leads to further debts. Still she develops a strong hatred for the poor girl, who tries to be patient and kind, despite their cruel treatment of her.
I thought she and her daughters simply refused to do any housework, literally sitting lazily on their asses complaining her dad is dead so there’s no more income, so Cinderella took it upon herself because it was her mother’s house, considering she forces them to leave when she married the prince, I can’t remember if they’re even allowed to stay in the kingdom
@@kristinahuchison2511 No Lady Tremaine was obsessed with raising the social status of her two daughters, especially due to her jealousy of Cinderella's natural charm and beauty, as well as raising her own wealth and status so she educates them in the ways of high society, despite their lack of talent in any area. In the animated sequels, they do stay in the house after Cinderella leaves, forced to do much of the work themselves since they cannot afford servants, despite Cinderella's marriage (she could have paid for them to have servants, she was kind after all, but she had enough of their cruelty), in the 3rd movie, Drizella and Lady Tremaine are actually forced to be servants in the palace after their treachery is found out, but in the live action remake they along with the Grand Duke are banished.
Ursula she is the coolest, awesome and incredible female villain in all the time in the animation movie of The Little Mermaid (1989),she deserves his own movie and this female villain given us our childhood
Mother Gothel was definitively some sort of epic, top 3, Frollo-esque villain. What made her even scarier were her "I do this because I love you" who would sound exactly like any toxic mother : "I love you most". Plus, she's actually one of the smartest villains of Disney. Had Rapunzel not remembered who she was all of a sudden, she would have won and won easily : her plan to make it seem like Flynn would have robbed the tiara was actually genius, because it would make Rapunzel actually willing to stay with her.
@@IconicEnemy locked up a kid during almosnt twenty years , use him for on own purposes and LYING to him about the outside world is the same thing that Frollo did to Quasimodo
Angelina Jolie as Maleficent is the best, interesting and coolest casting ever in the live-action movies of Maleficent in all the time and Maleficent she is the most best and iconic female villain ever
@@rikkerose9067 I wouldn't say bad but I understand why you would hate it. After all Maleficent is one of Disney's most controversial films and you must be under the " I hate this" column.
Cruella de Vil she is the awesome, incredible and iconic female villain ever in the Live action movie of Cruella (2021) and in the animation movie of 101 Dalmatians
Emma Stone she is the awesome, best, iconic and greatest actress ever in Hollywood in all the time and I like when she play Gwen Stacy in the movies of Spiderman of Andrew Garfield and Cruella de Vil in Cruella (2021)
So glad Yzma made top 5. Plus it's not often you see a male hero facr off against a female villain. She had great chemistry with Kuzco--and Kronk, of course.
Here’s the list 20- Madame Medusa: The Rescuers (1977) 19- Te Kā: Moana (2016) 18- Kaa: The Jungle Book (2016) 17- Zira: The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride (1998) 16- Lana Thomas: The Princess Diaries (2001) 15- Madam Mim: The Sword in the Stone (1963) 14- Warden Louise Walker: Holes (2003) 13- Jadis The White Witch: The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (2005) 12- Dawn Bellwether: Zootopia (2016) 11- The Sanderson Sisters: Hocus Pocus (1993) 10- Mombi: Return to Oz (1985) 9- Lady Tremaine: Cinderella (1950) 8- The Red Queen: Alice in Wonderland (2010) 7- Queen Narissa: Enchanted (2007) 6- Mother Gothel: Tangled (2010) 5- Yzma: The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) 4- Cruella de Vil: 101 Dalmatians (1961) 3- The Evil Queen: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) 2- Ursula: The Little Mermaid (1989) 1- Maleficent: Sleeping Beauty (1959)
Madame Medusa is THE most underrated Disney villain, male or female. She could take down any of the others with wicked ease. Well, maybe not Maleficent.
Morgana actually was just as manipulative, considering she gave Melody her fins and promised them to become permanent if she got the trident, not to mention Melody had no idea who Triton was. Especially considering Melody almost drowned when her fins vanished and Morgana was on top of a giant ice shard that even Eric couldn’t do anything with his fleet. And Melody used her resentment of her mother to make the wrong choice, not to mention Morgana is sealed in a permanent ice cube.
Angelina Jolie she is the coolest, beautiful, awesome and incredible actress ever in Hollywood and in Disney in all the time and I like when she became Maleficent in the live-action movies of Maleficent
My problem with Te ka is that she was more of an another obstacle rather than a actually villian by the third act, the crab monster tamatoa is an actual villain 'cause he acts and perfomes like one, but appart of being important for the story's plot, she's not that memorable for a proper antagonist
They are talking about Te Ka, not about Tefiti, and it seems legitimate to judge them separately based on their heavily differing personality. I agree though that the label villain is not the most fitting, since Te Ka is more of a merciless force of nature than an actual villain, she is the pure destructive rage of an erupting vulcano. She is above and beyond any human concept of morals.
@@chrisrudolf9839 so we need to treat them different the same body but different personalities like inside out? Or Hannah Montana? XD that’s sounds more like multiple personality disorder she is pure, kind and more with heart and when she is heartless she is wicked, death, fire and destruction?
Warden Louis walker was played so well and helps make the adaptation from the book to the film perfect. One of the best adaptations in my opinion. Yama is a completely underrated villain as is Warden walker and madam mim. I’m sorry but Glenn close’s version of de ville will always be my fav. Great list!
I'm not a fan of "Enchanted" because I don't like Giselle or the fact that they mocked older Disney movies. But they got the villain right with Narissa.
@@CaptainCretaceous91 the Carnotaurs are technically genderless since they have no personality or voice as a result they can't 100% count as male. Also I'm not sure that they will count video game antagonists. Or else Sephiroth would dominate the list since Sephiroth is in Kingdom Hearts..
@@chadpeterson5698 The carnotaurs are implied to be a couple. The slightly smaller one, implied to be the female, dies in the cave-in, with the male being the one to make the final attack.
Is it just me, or, regarding franchises, does Disney really have the most female main/lead villains? Compared to movies and shows from DC, Marvel, Transformers, Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, etc.? Prolly just me.
@@friendlyneighbourhoodbridg1354 Ok. Interesting. I kinda think female villains, regarding other franchises, are usually on the side because most writers are afraid to show women lead the charge to destroy something that is good even though there are women who do such things in reality, on their own accord. No need to keep them at a minimum in fiction. Power Rangers has only had 5 lead female villains after over 20 iterations, MCU has 4, DCEU has 1, Star Wars has... um. Hm. 😆
@@VDOTU5 tbh the only other franchise that has done female villains right imo is the Avatar franchise - Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend Of Korra. Azula is as menacing as they come, and so is Kuvira. But they are also incredibly powerful, EXTREMELY hard workers and have solid motivations for wanting to grab power (both stemming from feeling unloved as children). They're not in it for vanity
I think that Yzma is Disney's "Most Iconic Villain" because all the iconic lines she says throughout the film, she's the villain that makes everyone crack up and smile.
I feel like Mombi and the Red Queen would make a terrific team. After the Red Queen beheads anyone disobeying her rule (mostly the females) she could just loan them to Mombi so she can use them.
Number 13 I consider to be one of if not Disney's most evil live action villain. Also 2010 Alice in Wonderland is 1. A live action SEQUEL to the animated classic NOT A REMAKE 2. Not the first live action movie based on the original animated version.
It's disappointing that when they mention most of characters and their live action counterparts, they forget the Once Upon A Time versions. They are just as iconic and love how they gave each one a different backstory than what we're used to seeing.
Yzma needs to be in the top 5. She just has to she was amazing. Update: finished the video and I'm happy with the top 5 especially Yzma like I wanted and Ursula who is just perfect!
Winnie in Hocus Pocus will be always my favorite, Maleficent comes second. I'm surprised Hocus Pocus doesn't get more recognition. It's an amazing movie.
2 of my favorite female Disney villains are Yzma because she’s hilariously funny & sassy & Cruella De Vil because like me, she has a thing for fur coats made with REAL fur. I don’t have a fur coat made with real fur, but I wish I did because it’d be fun for me.
Sad fact, Walt Disney didn't credit any of the voice actors because he wished to maintain the illusion with the audience that these characters were real. So she couldn't get any acting jobs because in blunt words Disney owned her voice.
Namaari isn't the main antagonist. Her mother, Chief Virana of Fang, and the Druun are actually the main antagonists. Plus, she redeemed herself anyways
@@abdthesnowking4528 She betrayed Raya because she was both conflicted about doing what was right for her homeland, and because she was trying to live up to her mother's unrealistic standards. Not to mention that it's clear as day that Namaari's in love with Raya, but she cannot express her feelings because she's afraid of what her mother would do to her if she dated a girl from a rival clan
@@ChibiProwl she was his partner that he betrayed and she was involved in the near genocide of the Atlantian people and she's to date the only blonde villaness in an animated Disney film so you'd think that'd count for something qs which other villaness have attempted something like that?
19:41 Cruella De Vil has remained a Disney icon for half a century. Check your math. Since the character was created in 1961, she has remained a Disney icon for SIXTY years, not fifty.
One thing I love about Madame Medusa is how expressive she is for a cartoon character. Her movements looks so real and gives you the impression of live action. Nothing from the 3d animations come even close to how realistic her movements were, especially during that telephone call scene.
Pretty good top 10 ~ 10. Mombi - didn't know this movie at all, creepy indeed 9. Lady Tremaine 8. The Red Queen 7. Queen Narissa 6. Mother Gothel 5. Yzma - one of the most charismatic and comic villains 4. Cruella de Vil - heard mixed things about the origin story, but an iconic villain 3. Evil Queen - quintessential indeed 2. Ursula - iconic for sure~ 1. Maleficent - kind of prefer the live action over the original 😆
No, she's not. She's one of the more grey Disney villains. She was genuinely hurt by Nuka's death. She had mental issues, ofc, but psychopathy aint among them.
I love how Kaa was on this list despite being voiced by a guy in the previous adaption, and having much less screen time...can we really even call them a villain? At this point the Sorceress from the Mulan remake was a better choice.
Yzma will always be my favourite, because she follows her plans but with a heart and a lot of humor. Winni from hocus pocus scared and fascinated me as a child the same way. Such underrated characters. Hope we can watch Hocus Pocus 2 very soon (fall this year) and a brand new Kuzco movie in the near future.
this video helped me find the name of the cartoons I used to watch as a kid, madam medussa, ive been looking for the name of that movie...all I remember is watching it as a kid and getting emotional..I can't wait to rewatch it, thank you♥️⚘

The white witch in Narnia always terrified me as a child I’d always be too frightened to watch the film because of her XD
Warden Louis walker was played so well and helps make the adaptation from the book to the film perfect. One of the best adaptations in my opinion. Yama is a completely underrated villain as is Warden walker and madam mim. I’m sorry but Glenn close’s version of de ville will always be my fav. Great list!
Growing up I was very afraid for Penny. Her life was in danger and she had no parents to protect her.
We love the Enchanted representation in the thumbnail
Yep
Queen Narissa is SOOOOO underrated! The entire Enchanted movie is underrated! So excited for the second film soon!
I'm not a fan of "Enchanted" because I don't like Giselle or the fact that they mocked older Disney movies.
But they got the villain right with Narissa.
@@Furienna do you realise that this villain is a combination of the Evil Queen from Snow White and Malificient ?
@@rafaelarcas942 Yep, that is really obvious.
Madame Medusa scared the hell out of me when I was a child!
She's so creepy
I still can't watch The Rescuers, and I'm in my 40s.
Yzma is HYSTERICAL nor will I hear a bad word about the Sanderson sisters. And yes, Princess Mombi is terrifying.
10:59 I absolutely LOVE this movie SO amazing and I had a feeling you were going to bring the Sanderson sisters up because they ARE villains
Top 20 Male Disney Villains next? I’m just hoping that Shere Khan finally gets the respect he deserves.
I'd like Pete, the Coachman, the MCP, the Carnotaurs and Xehanort to be included myself.
If they do, it's very likely Frollo will take the top spot.
@@Denchar1138 I actually predict that honor will go to Scar.
Is it just me, or, regarding franchises, does Disney really have the most female main/lead villains? Compared to movies and shows from DC, Marvel, Transformers, Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Harry Potter, etc.? Prolly just me.
No it's not just you
No me too
@@justastaythatwillnotbename2990 Oh ok. 😆
The Red Queen and Helena Bonham Carter were a PERFECT mashup. She is stunning in this role😍😍
Maleficent absolutely, and deservedly, is number 1. Great list :)
I think that Yzma is Disney's "Most Iconic Villain" because all the iconic lines she says throughout the film, she's the villain that makes everyone crack up and smile.
About time some 1 mentioned zira. She's my favorite villain. I find her more interesting than scar.
I feel like Mombi and the Red Queen would make a terrific team. After the Red Queen beheads anyone disobeying her rule (mostly the females) she could just loan them to Mombi so she can use them.
Okay....that’s a scary thought!😨😱
Number 13 I consider to be one of if not Disney's most evil live action villain. Also 2010 Alice in Wonderland is
1. A live action SEQUEL to the animated classic NOT A REMAKE
2. Not the first live action movie based on the original animated version.
Sandra Oh is iconic and her character in The Princess Diaries is sooooo ICONIC!
cruella, maleficent, & yzma are the most iconic
For sure
Who would you want to play a live action yzma?
Ursula, Lady Tremaine and The Evil Queen too
@@aanyamallick7747 I don't know one things for sure I would prefer an older actress
It's disappointing that when they mention most of characters and their live action counterparts, they forget the Once Upon A Time versions. They are just as iconic and love how they gave each one a different backstory than what we're used to seeing.
Exactly bc Evil queen Regina mills was the best character in my opinion
Maleficent is the Best Female Disney Villains of all time Maleficent is the great darkness, transforms Dragon and Aurora has fall sleep.
Yzma needs to be in the top 5. She just has to she was amazing.
Update: finished the video and I'm happy with the top 5 especially Yzma like I wanted and Ursula who is just perfect!
I LOVE the White Witch...one of my favorite villains, and she was perfectly portrayed.
Ahh what iconic villains
Maleficent is Queen! and her Dragon appearance in Fantasmic at Disneyland gives me chills every time!
I’m So Happy Hocus Pocus was mentioned I Love The Sanderson Sisters especially Winnie Lol 😂 Can’t Wait for Hocus Pocus 2 next year 😁😁
was not expecting the Sanderson sisters, but so glad they're on here!!
Can you do a “best changes once upon a time made to villain origin stories” please? Really been on an OUAT kick lately😂❤️
Oooooh, I LIKE this idea!
Did you expect Regina mills too? Unfortunatly she hasnt been mentioned 🥺😅
Sad fact, Walt Disney didn't credit any of the voice actors because he wished to maintain the illusion with the audience that these characters were real. So she couldn't get any acting jobs because in blunt words Disney owned her voice.
I almost agree the whole list.
Good Job
“The first is hurcules” -My Brother.
800: For villains having their own movie, there’s a reason why Cruella de Vil and Maleficent should not be messed with
Where's Namaari from Raya and the Last Dragon?? I know she is not a villian but she is the antagonist of the film
Namaari isn't the main antagonist. Her mother, Chief Virana of Fang, and the Druun are actually the main antagonists. Plus, she redeemed herself anyways
@@aetheremployeesabrina
But She betrayed Raya twice so she isn't pure good
@@abdthesnowking4528 She betrayed Raya because she was both conflicted about doing what was right for her homeland, and because she was trying to live up to her mother's unrealistic standards. Not to mention that it's clear as day that Namaari's in love with Raya, but she cannot express her feelings because she's afraid of what her mother would do to her if she dated a girl from a rival clan
“I PUT A “Spell” On YOU.....& NOW, You’re Mine!”

Madam Medusa has always been one of the scariest to me, she's too realistic for my liking. Super underrated
I absolutely loved "hocus pocus" and I definitely think it's underrated 🖤
Suprised Helga Sinclair from Atlantis: the lost empire wasn't on the list as she's quite a unique villian in her own right.
She played second fiddle to Rourke, and somewhat redeemed herself by shooting the rope Rourke had a hold of. That might be why they didn’t count her.
@@ChibiProwl she was his partner that he betrayed and she was involved in the near genocide of the Atlantian people and she's to date the only blonde villaness in an animated Disney film so you'd think that'd count for something qs which other villaness have attempted something like that?
@@TwistedDonners True. I didn’t think of it like that.🤔😎
Now add the Baroness from Cruella.
19:41 Cruella De Vil has remained a Disney icon for half a century. Check your math. Since the character was created in 1961, she has remained a Disney icon for SIXTY years, not fifty.
Hey I know I’m late but hey it’s a pretty long video give them a break and also it don’t matter
Maleficent is the only good thing about sleeping beauty and definitely deserved to be number 1 on this list
3:45 ahhh when I was little reading the books, Kaa was male..... I still think she is male bc I grew up with other info...😞
One thing I love about Madame Medusa is how expressive she is for a cartoon character. Her movements looks so real and gives you the impression of live action. Nothing from the 3d animations come even close to how realistic her movements were, especially during that telephone call scene.
why
why
Cruella Devil and Yzma always been my w
I really like that you're doing top 20 videos now! Please do best male villains, best female heroes, and best male heroes next!
One thing pointed out is anytime Gothel says I love you most is when she is looking or touching Repunzel's hair
Pretty good top 10 ~
10. Mombi - didn't know this movie at all, creepy indeed
9. Lady Tremaine
8. The Red Queen
7. Queen Narissa
6. Mother Gothel
5. Yzma - one of the most charismatic and comic villains
4. Cruella de Vil - heard mixed things about the origin story, but an iconic villain
3. Evil Queen - quintessential indeed
2. Ursula - iconic for sure~
1. Maleficent - kind of prefer the live action over the original 😆
I feel like Zira should be higher, she's truly a psychopath.
Same here
That and she's definitely the Lioness version of both Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter and Harley Quinn
Truly a kindred spirit to Scar. They both get great villain songs too.
No, she's not. She's one of the more grey Disney villains. She was genuinely hurt by Nuka's death. She had mental issues, ofc, but psychopathy aint among them.
@@925263 Well, 36 people agrees with me...
6:12 Now that’s a principal!
1:04 Her and Cruella
I just came to see where Narissa ranked. Enchanted is a widely unappreciated and underrated movie.
I know right, let's hope the sequel gets more fans attention to the franchise
@@cinfernoproductions392 Wait, there's a sequel coming out?
@@omnicupid6694 yeah it's called Disenchanted, look it up.
I like how the thumbnail is a villain from one of the most underrated Disney movies, but it's also one of my absolute favorites!
16:27
Pure Hades vibes, lmao!!!😂😳
I love Izma. She is the best. You cannot change my mind. Izma is a QUEEN. 🙌
I don't know why but some are funny 🤣 17:47 my fav
Ursula will always be the number 1 for me!
I had the most nightmares from that movie and the Black Caldron.
Ursula and the evil Queen need movies
To be fair, Anastasia, Cinderella's stepsister, does get some redemption in the sequels.
I love female disney villains especially Ursula, but i think there should also be a list for animated female non-disney villains
this video helped me find the name of the cartoons I used to watch as a kid, madam medussa, ive been looking for the name of that movie...all I remember is watching it as a kid and getting emotional..I can't wait to rewatch it, thank you♥️⚘
Hell yeah The White Witch,Cruella and Sanderson Sisters! Best villains ever!
