As someone in the arts world (I've worked in both galleries and museums, plus my grandparents own an art framing business) I am super stoked on how much you are centering art and artists on your channel, encouraging people to support artists vs. mass produced art, and am loving watching you discover the variety of mating and framing and art lighting options out there! I feel like you are truly doing a public service announcement for the arts community in a big way, and I am here for it ❤
Paige, you should do a video on just finding pillows or coffee tables/decor! Your rug video helped me so much but I need help with other things in our house ❤
Paige: video ideas - 1) step by step how to get something reupholstered 2) list of virtual designers you know of if we want to hire someone
Plz yes!
"I just wouldn't buy a sofa brand new unless it's like a really cool vintage... oh I guess that's not brand new" had me dying 😂
what am I even saying sometimes?
lmaoo
Please do a what you hate video queen
I’ll end the year with a bang
Paige, I’ve spent the last eight days in Chicago on my first overnight trip here, and I’m leaving so inspired. The neighborhood we stayed in is beautiful, with its stunning homes, charming shops, incredible architecture, and nearby bodies of water. I didn’t get a chance to stop by Dial M for Modern, which just means we’ll have to come back! My mom joined us during the trip, and she agrees-she loves it even more than NYC. You rep your city well!
love this!!
The miniature chair from your memory box is so cute! Put it on a shelf!
I have a framed menu from my friends wedding with a little selfie we took, it’s extremely touching
From my experience that type of sofa is called a bench seat. Love it!
Touch of tech!! Omigosh, I've never met or heard of anyone who agrees with me on this. Tech adds some character to a home. This is also why I'm against paneling over kitchen appliances. Thats a work space! Don't pretend like it's not!
Some kitchen appliances will always be visible, and french door fridges are the ugliest things under the sun 😅
Same!! I like work spaces to look like work spaces where actual ideas happen and the tech kind of makes that vibe visible
@@aleksandrawieczorek7648I like French door fridges because the door swing of a regular door wouldn’t even fit in my kitchen!
My sister framed , ages ago , one of Yayoi Kusama's Furoshiki cloths/scarves...It does look awesome!
Yeah, I actually have a tenugui framed. It has an assortment of lucky cats on it.
paige! can you do a video about your style? ex. your favorite places to buy basics, source cool tees & jewelry? I always love your outfits in these vids
wow paige this new mic sounds so crisp and asmr lol
I always ask myself "would Paige like this" when looking for stuff for my home, so I manifested this video ✨️
I like her and her style, but shouldn't you ask yourself if you like it first?
@@headerahelix Of course, that's the most important thing.
LOVE collecting art by friends!! Before moving away for college after high school, I had a going away party with all my hometown friends with lots of paint and canvases to make art that I could take with me to my studio apartment in Chicago. I've also collected set lists from my friends shows who ended up getting their band signed later on, and bought/commissioned flash from my tattooer friends while they were still apprenticing who now own their own shops! Love displaying these little snippets of time throughout my home. 🧡
This is the youtube channel I've always wanted.
Fun stuff. Love it all! I recently framed a poem by Mary Oliver to put on my tea setup in the kitchen. It all sits on a cool mishappen worn out wooden tray with some handmade pottery filled with rocks found on our journeys, long, latte hanging spoons I got in Slovenia, my electric stainless tea pot (on a brass trivet we received as a wedding gift decades ago) and another funky antique piece. The poem sits on the edge of the tray and leans agains the backsplash. Many mornings when I make green tea, I take a moment to meditate on Oliver's wise words. "If I wanted a boat I would want a boat I couldn't steer." I have another of her poems tacked up in my office with a funky pin. As an artist and writer, the meaning of it all makes my heart sing. p.s. Going to start looking for a small table to put beside our huge bathrub. 🙂
Yes to the nighttime videos!❤
I realized watching this video that you remind me of some of the FM DJs I would listen to at night in bed when I was a kid in the 70s (ask your parents), so a night video seems a propos lol. You would have made a great 70s FM DJ!
That t-shirt came from my local bowling alley. I was so surprised to see you wearing it 🤣
wait so funny hahaha
Need a fabric sourcing video for upholstery projects!! Just got fabric in the mail that I’m feeling eh about for a chair project …
Salvador Dalí had a mirror in his bedroom which reflected the first rays of the rising sun onto his bed, to be (according to him) the first person in Spain to see the sunrise every morning
Commented this before seeing dali appear in the video too! fun
I’m concerned for family in FL with the onset of Hurricane Milton, so I really can use this reminder at the end to “release it and let go” because I’ve been doom scrolling socials to keep getting updates from the other side of the country. Thank you ❤️
Me doing my online History of Interiors work while simultaneously listening to Paige talk about home decor xx
you should do a video where people send you what they want to do to their home / projects they’re saving up for! and you can give suggestions. would be cute
Agreed! I want more design tips!
Hope you do a Christmas / holiday themed video! Love watching your videos : )
Nothing cheers me like your videos ❤
YES - frame the bow tie and do a triple mat!
these videos feel the same as asmr to me... so satisfying, calming, and beautiful! love u paige :3
I love your sentimental hat box. My mother kept her sentimental shit in one of those cardboard hat boxes
Get that money b!!!
That was a nice pep talk at the end, I needed to hear that, not gonna lie 😂
Artist here with an MFA and also special collections librarian … traditionally mating is only for photos ( to hide edges of photo paper ), for prints & drawings most collectors/galleries/museums pin or use various glass or plexi with brackets or magnets! Obvi anyone can do what they want but thought would be good to provide some insight into the standard! Love your content ❤
Night video again! Mood lighting pieces and moments, bulb temps, etc. Then companion day video on daytime lighting, window shades, mirrors, etc.
Hair looks great in this vid! Love the bangs like that
I was just about to say your bangs are bangin' in this video. I say keep them!
Love your videos Paige! And just what I needed at the end... "Let go and trust the universe." 🙏❤️
that reel of the flat pack shelf was by orrworks, they make incredible furniture, glass art, metal objects, etc go look at the stuff
@06:25: That memory box is screaming ‘hat box from Ross in the 90s’. I have at least one just like it. 😂 Mine actually contains hats. 🎩
bench cushion or bench seat. I luv them. I always remove individual cushions for a bench cushion on my sofas. It's cleaner looking. Vera scarfs from the 40s, 50s, 60s are great for collecting and framing. The colors and prints are abstract and very cool. Great video Paige.
hey paige! I know you’re big on thrifted pieces but you should make a series going to different big name stores (homegoods, hobby lobby etc.) showing what’s an absolute no and stuff you think you could actually bring into your home :) i think that would be fun
I vaguely remember her trying to do this once and it not going well
Well that was so good. I am a fan of interiors with a bunch of random (not really) stuff that just tells a story of people who live in there.
I found an amazing arts and crafts wool crewel embroidered bag made in England at a thrift store in Forestville California. Go figure. I had it conservation framed and it hangs in my studio as part of a gallery wall. It's approaching 100 years old and definitely a conversation piece.
♥ The memory box. Yes to bench seating for sofas. Matting; buy the high quality tool, create your own..
You should do an analysis of Lucy Williams’ interior style! She has such great and unique taste. I feel like you guys have similarities in your style and I know you love that English country aesthetic!!
I love these type of videos, and also i like your bangs :)
A night video could be a really cool vibe, I’m into it!
Insane how creative and talented your friend group is!
Happy Sunday❤
Funny you mentioned matting. About 13 years ago I finally acquired a handful of prints I’d been wanting forever and took all of them to Aaron Bros. for framing (before they went out of business).
I’d never had anything professionally framed before so I kinda played around with it. Anyway . . . I just so happened to triple mat one piece, with color, and it came out really nicely! Some pieces I didn’t have matted at all. I just went with my gut.
I love when you chit chat at the end of a video 🥰
"I actually don't really believe in anything" 😅 i relate
touch of tech 👩🏼🍳💋
Hi-Tech architecture and design came after Postmodern so was only a matter of time though chrome has been doing his thing for a year or two now. I came of age during the Hi-Tech movement so have an Artemide Tolomeo and large, solid aluminium tealight holder from my youth that’s looking good again.
I've been thinking about framing a sheet that my grandmother embroidered for her wedding set. The sheet is more than 80 years old and the embroidery is perfect and it's very beautiful, the dilemma is that I can't frame the complete sheet and I'm not sure how to do it. Anyway, if I do I'll send you photos😅
I embroider for fun, and I iron the heck out of the piece, mount it to like a poster board that’s sticky on one side, and frame that on my own! It’s not perfect, but it’s affordable and looks good
I framed an embroidered table cloth by folding it up in a smaller frame
@@holosapiens mine is too large😭is king size 🫠
There are these deeper frames. Maybe that could work?
But I hav to say the glass of my frame is almost bursting under the pressure of all that fabric 😂
@@holosapiens 🥲🤣
Paige I'm obsessed with your videos they have been my life for a month. I can't get enough of your design and style.
Do you have suggestions for a small living room and dining room combo with all carpet? Do you put carpet on carpet to make spaces? What should I do?!!!!
You wanting to grow your bangs and me going to the hairdresser with your picture asking them to cut my bangs just like yours. 😅
sister please do a matting DIY video and also do not sass me for asking for a DIY I think this one is valid
I’ve been wanting to learn! So I love this idea
DIY matting is really difficult without the proper equipment. The cheap cutters are almost impossible to get a good result from. And the decent ones cost $1000+. I'd recommend getting a framing shop to cut it for you or ordering one custom online.
You need specific equipment for sure. I have a BFA in photo. But Michaels can do it for you easily.
yes to otsuwa no yakata ❤❤❤❤❤
There's a giant poster in the apartment of "Frasier" (OG version)
I've always noticed that, and loved it
i love binge watching your vids
When u said let go i rly needed that
So cool, Paige. As always.
I'm glad you are growing out the bangs. It was a fun change but you never seemed comfortable with them and I think long hair in the front suits you. I say encourage the wave in your hair more. It will give you more dimension without a lot of effort. Just get some mousse or a light curl cream and finger coil it then loosen it once it's dry. On another note. I would love to see you put a few traditional pieces in your home. I watched an old video from when you first moved in. You said you didn't want to many old pieces because of the home style but I think a few older than mid-century pieces would really pop.
loved going thru pieces in your memory box!
This one painting of the table cloths / mats / coasters of your WAS photoshoot is the photo I'm using from your IG profile as inspiration for my kitchen, love those stripes and colors!!! Would love to see a console / coffee table decorating tips video from you
if you ever made a clothing video I’d watch! i luv the shoes u had on during the ad lol
Any idea where the folding sofa at 4:10 is from? I love that. Thanks for another great video!
I'm interested as well! 😍 I'll subscribe to the newsletter. 💯
@@ChristinaRichards i’m also interested in
Love the affirmations
I need to know where the flat pack shelving in that reel was from 🙏🏻
As a parent of two - nothing looks nice anymore after they’ve entered the picture 😂
ye bangs look great
If you like a long sofa look at the one in Kettle's Yard in Cambridge UK. Was owned by Jim Ede and his wife. Its the most amazing house so you should look it up!
It’s Tuesday!!!
So excited for another one of your videos 😍
Can you give us affordable big picture frame options? I mean big like 50 in x 60 in
Hi Paige, I just wanted to share a quick tip for your safety. It’s best to avoid sharing details about where you live or the specific places you hang out with friends. Keeping this information private helps protect you and your loved ones. Stay safe and keep up the great work!
Good evening video, Paige. Good stuff!
Video request! You made a wedding decor vid a while ago about bad millenial-core weddings, but I would love to hear what decor ideas you actually like! Maybe you have ideas that you haven't seen yet but would like to!
I like the look of a wood table in the bathroom. Thoughts on moisture and wood though?
One long cushion is a bench cushion.
I could listen to you talk for ever about anything tbh
Love the video and looove the sofa at 4:08 - does anyone know how I can find this or something similar? Am looking for a cool sleeper sofa and have not been lucky so far..
24:22 Violent Crimes! 070 Shake has a spectacular voice
(Fallin', dreamin', talkin' in your sleep
I know you want to cry all night)
there we go!
Re matting it’s known as mounting here in England
I also want a painting of the was photoshoot so badly! If the friend would sell them I would buy one!
Could you do a video on where to find good art? Inexpensive or at least not super expensive, real art is so hard to find! I know you have shown your friend's art work but maybe a more expanded video on where to find online hand made art.
I have a question! Where do you find such beautiful fabrics for reupholstering and for your pillows, etc? I can't find anything good online, or when I do, it's over $200 per yard! Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places or using the wrong search terms? Would love some recommendations!
Can you do your thoughts on Halloween decor xx
A single cushion on a sofa is called a bench cushion. Of course some fabrics are patterned to make this work. Solids and non-directional fabric work best.
Paige I would totally take the Mortadella off your hands !
Did you see Caroline doing her Bombas sponsorship spiel? It ‘s so cute.
Love your content but also have been very inspired to buy some silver hoops. Any recs on where to grab big chunky silver hoops?
Yup❤
3:34 The Goo!
currently watching this with my mom in the cph airport
pls make an advise video soon, im interested in interior decorating and have been working on different rooms in my family home but the living room is an awkward space and could totally use someone else opinion with an amazing eye
I *love* all the ideas in this video. Friends' art might be my favorite! And I'm very inspired by the collage (?) at 12:22. Does this person have an instagram/can you tell us what this piece is about?
Hi Paige ! Quick tech feedback : do you set your editing projects to 1080i instead of 1080p ? That little i stands for Interlaced video and makes the video fit into "lines", I think it makes the photos u integrated and prints weird (for example on your sofa photo)
Do you know where they got that first flat pack shelving unit you mentioned? It's gorgeous! (the wood grid looking one)
Do you have a good resource for finding good fabrics online for reupholstery? I don’t really have anywhere around me that I can go and look but really want to reupholster some things.
