Hi, I am Sonia, a Korean and a big fan of your channel. i like to let you know the name of korean curtain. It is a patch work wrapping cloth originally and made curtain using that fabric. Actual korean name is “Jogakbo”, “jogak” means patchwork and “ bo”means wrapping cloth. hope it hepls you~
If you are still looking for ideas for your bags - how about a “coin purse” on the front. Could be cute and a convenient place to stash a phone or sunglasses.
Kate’s mom is the coolest, and I am forever Pottery Barn shamed here (and Crate & Barrel and Target and …). That’s why I had you so you could course correct all my cookie cutter mistakes. Love you two mosquito slappers together! 🦟🦟🦟
@susanwassel7599 mom! you have cool style too and you know it but I am glad I convinced you to get rid of that grey geometric side table from the target dorm collection, do you regret it?
I'm glad that hanging art non-gallery style is making a comeback. I never got into it and it makes me feel anxious. No shade to those who like them. Some of my favorite design creators like them (Paige and Caroline) but it was never my thing. I'm also loving the interesting matting, mini pictures, and off-center framing.
My French grandmother said to always have rose colored lampshades because "It is the color that makes the woman's skin look the most beautiful in the evening!" She had rose silk liners inside her lampshades, so they didn't look rosey until they were lit. I see that orange is a great color for décor, but I did learn taht it is important to think of the effect of the color of the light on your face, if you care about that kind of thing. I do, but don't do anythink about it. though I might now that I have written this comment!
Watching the fun girl friend chatter made me miss my youth! Thanks for the little insight into what the fun kids are doing on the weekends! 🤣 At 57, I'm SO happy to be drinking a glass of chardonnay and calling it a night at 8:30! 💃Please have her on again! That was fun.
Oh my goodness I literally have been watching Paige for years and I literally put up those exact ‘fun tiles’ up in my kitchen like 2 weeks ago! I have never been so vindicated in all my life
Your interior design skills are inspiring - your home showcases a perfect balance of minimalism and warmth. Appreciate your hardwork and awesome team behind this page
A trick to keeping your house plants alive if you want to put them in a pot that doesn’t have drainage holes is to put the plant in a nursery pot that fits inside the decorative pot. When you water it, just pull it out and let it drain. I too went through a shabby chic phase and also a farmhouse phase (ugh).
Love your Sunday chats!! It’s like listening in with creative besties. Btw, I used to love the smell of incense. Bought some and started to develop asthma-like symptoms. So then a couple of years ago, I wondered what health benefits it may have. I was shocked to find out incense is not only completely unregulated but can contain more carcinogens than cigarettes, which is over 200 chemicals. 🤢 I threw it all out and never missed them, once I found out.
it depends which brand you purchase incense from. don't buy cheap incense because what you have outlined in your comment can be true and they can be toxic! however, it is not true of all incense, and there are many brands who use traditional ingredients and processes to make them.
I like the idea of putting a cool lining on the inside of a lamp so once it's turned on it suddenly has a nice pattern, I was thinking floral. And then have the outside be plain or match the color scheme of the room. I don't like orange but I love love orange light at night.
Just FYI but I am pretty sure the orange lampshades are made of a material that in Italy is called pergamena which is parchment paper. Many of the antique lampshades were made from that and it puts off a very orange light. My mother in law gave me some gorgeous lampshades that are made from parchment and the warm orange light is stunning!
Hi paige! I am Italian and having a table in the kitchen is extremely common! Islands are rare here. In my parent’s house we have a very small table in the kitchen and it is enough for us to eat there everyday and cook. Living room table is for working or occasions. And a lot of smaller houses don’t have a proper living room (or they have one that just fits couch and tv) so it’s good to just have the table. Eating and sitting all together is one of the most important social occasions for us.
I love that you are into cork boards! I have a huge one that I put little drawings my toddler does, family photos, little brochures or random 2D things from travel, letters friends send, etc and I love it. I don't really like displaying photos in other ways
Hi! Unsolicited advice here but you can burn a little palo santo in your garage to keep the mosquitoes out. A fan too would help and a lemongrass plant right outside😁
The green wire shelf is by Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen - I’ve just installed a staircase with shelving that’s riffs off this concept in a hotel lobby and it’s rad. Also, I‘m pretty sure the yellow sheer curtain is by Arne Aksel - he does this thing SO WELL.
I get that we can’t bully Kate into starting a channel, but surely if we work together we can get an irregular series?! #wedemandkatesometimeswhenshefeelslikeit
your ‘home decor i like for 2023’ video was probably my favorite video of yours, and i love this series! love both of your design styles!! 💞 please do more videos like this😭🙏🏻
Yay! I loved those same inspiration photos of oddly matted pieces or many little pictures. I bought a mat cutter and also have an instax printer. It’s a fun way to group/display a bunch of random candids from your phone 😊
2 things I do that you mentioned...make a pin board from a 2x4 ceiling tile covered with a burlap coffee bean bag (often free from local roaster), paint inside of kitchen cabinet with chalkboard paint. Love your chats with Kate!
You can get really cool stuff on mats like unique metal rivets though they're pricey or contrast bevels, double mats 😍 I've been really into a plain white or black matting so it can work in different places. Recently we framed a b&w lino print with a black mat with a neon chartreuse green in the bevel and I think it makes the piece pop and is pretty subtle from far away. It's worth going to a framer or even express matting from Michaels etc is pretty inexpensive
Love this channel and your chill vibe with Kate! Been watching since the beginning. A few videos ago you mentioned that your dad said on the phone it sounded like you had been smoking (meaning your voice sounded raspier). I just wanted to mention, in case you want to pursue it further (I'm a certified vocologist, a voice teacher, and I have a masters in voice performance) that I notice your voice has been getting gradually rougher, and I hear you clearing your throat more than you used to. I personally don't mind it, and it may not be an indication of anything, but, if you're finding it difficult to talk for extended periods of time or you feel hoarse more often than you used to, it might be worth getting checked out by an ENT/otolaryngologist and getting scoped (stroboscopy instead of endoscopy if possible- less invasive and better imaging). I'm also from IL, and have noticed that, in typical midwest fashion, we all tend to talk with the resonance of our voices in the back of our mouths, with lots of jaw tension. If you're finding that kind of speech difficult to sustain as a RUclipsr, and you do find an issue with your vocal folds post-stroboscopy, speech therapy may be something to consider, just to bring the resonance forward and make speaking for long periods of time easier (neither stroboscopy or speech therapy is an intense thing, they both sound scarier than they are). It could also just be living in LA and speaking with a little more vocal fry, and living in a very dry climate, so do with this information what you will. K sorry for the long comment if you end up reading this and for possibly overstepping my bounds, just wanted to i.d. something that might save you some headache.
Instead of grommets on shower curtains, you can sew button holes. The newer machines make them easy to do. I just water my plants once a week, or when the leaves look droopy. Orchids I water once a week (I run water through them in the sink and let them totally drain and stick them back in their pot (they are double potted)). My oldest plant is almost fifty years old, from a cutting, a gift from my college roommate
Great video !! Lots of inspiration. Love the big table in the kitchen, I feel like it invites everyone to come cook and have a drink while something is on the stove. Only thing that kind of bugged me was the pace of the editing. I love slow videos but I feel sometimes the slowness is not always intentional and lands a bit awkward. Great video and great channel though ! My little piece haha
Paige I NEED your opinion on the tiktok video of a girl who ruined her boyfriend's apartment with sad beige decor. I know you, like most of the internet, would love the before and hate the after 😂
We need a series on how to style / decorate small entry way spaces, or spaces without entry ways. I live in a home and when you walk in you just enter the living room. Would love help defining the space without the obvious pieces like a coat rack.
Have you ever heard of French mats? My friend used to make them. It's basically a white or off-white mat that is painted with very fine lines--like two lines around the opening. Sometimes between the lines there's a solid color, usually a very soft pastel color. It takes a steady hand to create them because you're painting on the mat.
Good stuff, as always. Love the colored picture matts. I have done that myself, just paint it with acrylic. I'm redoing my kitchen (counter tops and floors) and am going to paint something on the stove backsplash tiles using a Delft technique - my mom's from The Netherlands so Delft is near and dear to my heart. I am looking for a potter here in L.A. who can make the tiles and then fire my design on them.
Amazing video, you guys are so clever and funny, also my childhood home had a full wall in the kitchen that was a cork board with pictures all over it! I’m gonna try and find a picture! Also the comment section is obsessed w you guys 🔥
I know this is an older video now and I am sure Kate has already painted her bathroom, but I wanted to share that I painted my bathroom a deep brownish red a couple years ago and never regretted it. I love a small dark bathroom. The red I chose was Bewitched by Benjamin Moore, which I chose because the tiles in my bathroom are blue and are a fixed element. Rather than try to hide them, I decided to try to make them look their best by pairing them with a nice contrasting colour. I think it worked out well.
Inflation and Recessions are part of the economic cycle, all you can do is make sure you're prepared and plan accordingly. I graduated into a recession (2009). My 1st job after college was aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today I'm a VP at a global company, own 3 rental properties, invest in stocks and biz, built my own business, and have my net worth increase by $500k in the last 4 years.......
You need a Financial Advisor my friend so you don't get ripped off in the market. They provide personalized advice to individuals based on their risk appetite, placing them among the best of the best. There are bad ones, but some with good track records can be very good.
I know I've wanted to start investing for a few months, but just haven't had the courage to start because the market has been down for most of this year. Please how can I reckon with such skills and what are his services like?
Thank you so much for your videos! They have given me so much inspiration! Where did you find the orange and pink matted piece of art? I am obsessed. Thanks so much!

Not sure if this is mentioned elsewhere in the comments but if anyone is interested the work with smaller photos in large frames described as like film frames are part of an artwork by Taryn Simon called A Living Man Declared Dead. The second image with the wood backing is a work by Barbara Kruger and is a screenprint on wood veneer. I don't think they were identified in the vid but apologies for redundant info if they were.
Lol so happy to hear that Kate is engaged. I honestly thought she moved houses because of a break up (because why would you possibly leave such a gorgeous house) 😁 congratulations!
Hi, I am Sonia, a Korean and a big fan of your channel. i like to let you know the name of korean curtain.
It is a patch work wrapping cloth originally and made curtain using that fabric. Actual korean name
is “Jogakbo”, “jogak” means patchwork and “ bo”means wrapping cloth. hope it hepls you~
Thank you for sharing! Jogakbo is such a beautiful technique! I have also heard it called "bojagi"-- is that something different?
@@CaitiSM it is same . bo is short term of bojagi. There are several types of bojagi, plain bojaki and jogak bo are the typical types.
thanks for the info !!
If you are still looking for ideas for your bags - how about a “coin purse” on the front. Could be cute and a convenient place to stash a phone or sunglasses.
Can we have COTFH of Kate’s moms home?!
I would looooove to feature that house
That would be so cool 😄
Came here to comment this and it was the top comment. Please😭

Same here...53. I enjoy the banter.
Video idea: which sofas under $1000 are cute and stylish and aren’t fugly looking
I'm obsessed with the sound of y'all chuckling to each other over your old (& new) interior design styles. This is so wholesome
You guys have the exact same laugh! LOL
the same genre of human being haha
Oh my goodness I literally have been watching Paige for years and I literally put up those exact ‘fun tiles’ up in my kitchen like 2 weeks ago! I have never been so vindicated in all my life
It’s butter yellloooowww! My favourite for kitchen and dining spaces 😍
I'd love Kate to have a yt channel! We want more "real people but cooler than average people" design on internet ❤
I think she has great style, but she never seems fully engaged lol
Need more of this content! (also you guys should talk about Christmas decor you're into right now)
If Kate wants to come on again I think a lot of us would love it! Y’all have such good chemistry
I learn so much from yall
We all do. I love your videos, too!
As someone named Britta, I felt so special during the filter talk hahaha. Also, love your friendship!

Probably the black plastic ones you would bring plants or trees home in from the nursery or greenhouse...use it as a liner@@beckylatner5625.

I kept thinking they should light the incense to keep the mosquitos away!
I would love to watch Paige tear apart people’s holiday season decor, also I just want to decorate my tree in a way she would approve 🫣
the yellow paint & symmetrically framed prints is giving 2006 in the best way
The wood used as picture matting could be veneer - u can buy individual sheets or rolls!
kete is so calm and lovely, i love this duo.
If you love vintage framed art with colored matting, look for an image of Ingrid Bergman's chic apartment in "Indiscreet". 😍💞

really loved this video, you are quite the dynamic duo!
You need one of those velcro screens for your door! Love watching you guys together!
Also, the ‘stop calling her mom’ at the end got me 😂😂😂
I just use a rechargeable motion sensing light bar in my linen closet. Y'all are so funny, 2016 was so long ago...😂
It's scrambled egg yellow! Fluffy scrambled eggs. Very cute
You should make cord covers and sell them in your store
I think the curtains are called pogaji and the green wired cabinet is Muller van Severen :)
all pictures you have shown in this video i actually have on my pinterest boards (even the ribbons on curtains), its so funny
When both my boys were toddlers I made tiny pieces of art to put inside the door latch of all our hallway doors. I fully support art in weird places.
That wired furniture looks like rabbit cages !
I love corkboards, I have one in my pantry where there is an empty wall, it is really fun

Love this video format!

i'm really thrilled to find out Paige and Kate are moss lovers like me 😅
Artists would call it Naples yellow!
Kate reminds me of Parker Posey which is the highest compliment.

Dulux Paint in Monarch is a beautiful deep red color.

Hi Paige!! Would love to see another gift ideas for cool people video for the holidays! Assuming you will and put your bags on to promo
I have an accent light on top of my fridge, does that count??! 😬😉
Paige energy is so different and funny this episode. like trying to impresse Kate
You can get a glass Britta. Or Dafi, I'm not sure. But it looks much better than plastic and is better for you.
Can we do another cool things for cool people for Christmas pleeeeaaaaase? love that vid, seriously go back to it reg
Throughly enjoyed this
screen on your open door would be helpful! 🤣🤣 Put a battery -op light in closets..Yah need some mosquito repelling plants in your yard & studio
Just ran to put my unsused clip light in my closet😌 super cute
