Great Video! That left hand is the compass for so much ! It also lets the hitting hand be relaxed, important also to always hold the raquet in the left between points on the throat like in tennis to avoid tennis elbow
Almost like a backhand in tennis 'from low to high' instead of ' high to low' like many students do as they start to play tennis. Terry does has talent as he picks it up rather fast. In padel keeping always the same grip for forehand and backhand groundstrokes is still difficult for me as a very experienced tennisplayer
JT picked it up super quickly. But yes, for the chiquita shot, one of the few in padel you go low to high - but hit flat (another difficult thing for ex-tennis players)
2 reasons - the grip was in continental so no need and sometimes the mechanics of the prep and swing are more important (unless the grip is really wrong)
A Padel School and John Terry collab was the last thing I was expecting, but I'm all here for it
I’m a Chelsea fan this has really made my day 😂❤️
Great to hear!
It's cool to see John Terry using a Portuguese brand (Cork) for his racquet, cool video and tips as always.
thanks! yeah agree and great to see John enjoying padel as much as he does
5 minutes with Sandy and the improvements are huge. 🎉
It also depends on the student 🙂 thank you for the support

Great to meet Tom and Team GB in Alicante today! Hope you enjoyed the Poke bowls guys!!
Thanks Craig, great to meet you too and Poke bowls were very good! We had an awesome time playing padel in sunny Alicante, tough to beat! 🙂
Football players get so addicted to Padel. Here in my city you can find tons of ex-players playing everyday at a very high level.
Yes it's true, they pick it up very fast!

Great tips, I always wondered why my backhand strokes keep getting that awkward spin.
Why not always start with correcting the grip? Seems like a basic that is always overlooked...

John’s stroke looks all arm, should there be more trunk rotation, like in tennis shots?
not too much trunk rotation, but yes he's still developing how to use the kinetic chain for his shots
The intro threw me off I replayed the video thinking I missed click lol😂
