- I think people should ditch the thick winter gloves and fit some muffs. You can get that fine control back we all enjoy when wearing summer gloves without your hands freezing off!
I know Hippo Hands exist but they're just too pricey at over £100 imported to the UK, my budget doesn't allow for trying them.
A lot of folk use the RydeStore muffs www.rydestore.... they're not a good fit on either of my adventure bikes and foul my controls.
The Givi TM421 fits well and are priced within my budget (less than £50). I got them here: www.amazon.co....
Sorry about all the 'erms' this is my first RUclips video, I will get better with practise!
Please comment as that helps me improve what I'm doing.
I'll do another video when my tripod arrives from amazon.
All the best.
Ash!
Brilliant video, now ordered a pair of TM421's
Thanks for the review
It's nice to be useful!
Really useful / honest review I’m buying for a V Strom 1000 2018 (hand-guards) so I reckon these will do the job - thanks for sharing👍
No bother fine sir, as long as you have some sort of handguard on there you'll be quids in. They fit very easily and you'll never have cold pinkies!
@@thegaragehermit7227 They’re great, very pleased with them👍👍👍
I love a good muff story!
Oh I see you use sheepskin sadle cover...
Pretty cool and comfy.
And I am thinking to get myself a pair of bar muffs too because the winter is coming, and I don't want my fingers frozen again and again...
It's lovely in both summer and winter, keeps you cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold. Plus makes any seat turbo comfy! I just bought a Dunelm rug for 30 quid and cut it to shape... Hard to cut mind!
Best thing about muffs, is that that they keep the rain off, invaluable when touring as wet gloves never dry out, wet gloves cold and a nightmare to get on and off😎
Yes! You are absolutely spot on
Thanks for the detailed video, buying one for my 650GS twin.
You're welcome!
Man, they look enormous on my 50cc scooter...😄
Watch out for the wind! You'll set sail when the wind gets up on a small bike! Avast yeeee swabs!

This was really funny! 😆 Thank you!
Very usefull video! Keep em coming. I assume you went for a few rides with these? How did you find them? How about when standing up? Looking for some muffs for a long trip so I will have to put them away in a bag when not in use. Do they pack away small? Keep it up! Cheers
Hi Clayton, I've done about 4 or 5 trail rides with these now. They work well, they are dead easy to fit and remove, they flex and 'give' when moving around so I feel good for standing up with. They're wind tight and it turns out have a very persistant water resistant coating on them (caught in the rain today). You can fold them down to the size of....... a size 11 shoe - the best comparison i can make! Oh and the Givi Logos on the side are reflective, just realised this..... Enjoy, and give me a shout if you have any more questions or want to see more in a video? Thanks again old bean. Ash
thanks for the video. I am struggling to find muffs that would fit a 1250GS. Based on your experience with the F800, do you think the GIVI TM421 would?
Well these are the best fitting I've tried, there's loads of room for mirrors to come through the top and plenty of room for handguards. I've seen oxford ones and cheap ebay specials and none fit as well.... I think these are the best muffs you'll come across for fit and function. Thanks for asking the question old chum
@@thegaragehermit7227 thanks a lot for the reply. currently trying the Oxford ones, they fit very narrowly, leave very little space to operate indicators and other commands, make it all clumsy (and potentially dangerous). I’m considering quite seriously to return them. By any chance, would you have the true dimensions of the tm421?
@@miro_s Ill measure up tomorrow for you, no problem. There's a lot more room in the muffs than the oxfords that's for sure... All the best
does these work for bikes with bar end mirrors?
Yea, I would say so, you just won't be able to see what's behind you....
How's the instalation? I'm looking to buy this for my commuter pcx 150
I wear thin mx gloves and I'm fine! I do have heated grips but I have to drop them to low or off most times! They're very good in the cold. Pretty water resistant as well
Whats up with that thumb of yours? Painfull to look at 🥵 other than that a good video im buying this now 👍
It's awful isnt it!
