Nice to see the ink front and center. I’m also a Lefty with the “over-writer” style. I often have to use another sheet as a blotter so my outer hand doesn’t smear the work - or I have to go slower to allow the ink to dry - such challenges we lefty’s face to enjoy the hobby!

I've been finding pairs of ink / pen combinations that dry on Clairefontaine within the time I can write 4 lines of text. It's actually pretty good now: the Yama Budo in the 632 doesn't look like it has any hope of being practical, but it actually is! I can write pages without it smudging!

I,m glad I write with my right hand. If I was lefty, I'd use the right oblique. Thankfully it's not hard to make, it's just cut at an angle.

@@MitchellJBridges Thank you. I’ve been thinking about trying a right footed oblique, but there’s few comments about its success by a Lefty.

@@MitchellJBridges I’m definitely going to try that.

This version is something else, good close-ups with nice reflection on the ink and letters, perfect exposure so we see the colour of the inks. Well done sir! 👏🙂

and yeah I forgot to mention, your nibs are so well tuned, with plenty of ink flow, except my favorite, Wing Sung 630 which seem a bit dry - and that Wingsung 632 with gold nib.. a dream pen! :)

Thanks buddy! Yeah the 630 isn't great at the moment. I have a bunch of spare steel nibs for it, but none broad enough. The 632 has me thinking I should get a gold one for the 630. Too many other things ahead in priority, but give it a month or two...... lol. Actually come to think of it, I think I might have impulse purchased a couple more 630 pens at midnight a few days ago. Heheh I think I ordered 20 pens actually!

@@WondersUnlocked twent....y?😲 Haha, you went on a shopping spree 😁. I behaved myself at this AliExpress sale.. I was tempted for 3 more Asvines(P36, P20 and V200) and a Admok m800, but I managed to resist. This hobby suffers seriously by the impulse shopping syndrome in general. As for WS630, try a very delicate polishing on the nib with and if you have a gauge measure tool, keep the 0.9 one between the tines for about 5 minutes. In my cases it released more ink after that.

    hey mite!
greetings from a lefty from Singapore to the lefty here down-under!
we lefties would often look odd to other folks because the way we hold our scribbling instruments scribbling for words. i'm a fountain pen user for close to 35yrs ever since early secondary education. and i found a way to avoid smudges from wet pens, just by turning the scribbling pad/paper 30~45 degrees to the right, we can achieve comfortable writings without have to stress our wrist due to inward twisting. by doing this way, fountain pen nib can be pointed down in a gradient angle to proper writing without the need to write in upright position.
hope this helps, and don't be too concern that others look at us oddly... anyway, lefties are odd anyway, when they tries to write on pad and papers placing upright.

Hi man, nice collection of #8 nibs and nice video as always. I have a question, have you tried to change your handwriting style to be more underwriter than overwriter? Just wondering. Take care!

Nah.... Happy enough the way it is. I can use Yama Budo on Clairefontaine 90 gsm, at full speed in work meetings, and not experience smudging. That's good enough for the moment!
