One of the short stories that influenced a young Lovecraft as a writer.
Now where is the late count now and his abhuman lacky? Magnus is a powerful sorcerer to still live and have such a fiendish and powerful familiar. He could be anywhere doing most anything that catches his fancy. Use the Borellus' resurrection salts could keep him busy with humans and animals brought back from death. Maybe start a business as a cover for his other experiments and increase his wealth as he hides himself behind it as the years roll on for the future especially in the young America can give him even more powers yet.
Copper, gold and crystals of the quartz type he found needful to his greater works as it grows. Over time he made and maintained contact with others of like mind and unnatural life for joining him in his global creation as it begins by laying down its foundation which will take more than one human life. What are their plans? Will anyone stumble across it and understand its imortance?
