Awesome review! I enjoy brush tips also. Spectrum Noir’s a great brand. I hope I find them. Love the tri-blend markers. TFS. Have a fantastic week a head🍄💕
Those make me want to color!! I have the Illustrators which have the same brush nib and the bullet nib! They're so awesome bcuz I'm not a fan of the chisel nib. I have some Copics and of course I like those too but the chisel nib annoys me on those. I bought fine nibs to replace the chisel nib but I haven't tried them on the Copic yet. Enjoy your brush triblends 🎉🥳
I've heard of people replacing the chisel nib on the Copics for the bullet nib. I might have to do that, too, because I'm not a fan of the chisel nib, either.
Thanks for posting this! I just got the triblend brush markers and I have had the original set (not triblend) the individual colors. They seem to play well together!! I'm gonna keep playing!
Thanks for sharing the tip about being careful when putting the caps on to keep from damaging the brush nibs! Thanks for taking one for the team :) My HSN marker order is on Extended Delivery - can't wait to get them!! Would you be able to tell us how long the markers are? I have a case for my Copic Ciao markers and wasn't sure if these Triblend brush markers would fit in the same case or if I needed to get a new one. Thanks again for all your great videos and tricks and tips!!! :) Love your channel!!!

Sure wish Spectrum Noir would have thought things out before we all bought the stiff hard tips. Ugggggg. Enjoy my dear. Tfs
Nice haul of the new tri-blend brush markers from Spectrum Noir. I agree with you the brush markers are nice on large areas but sometimes it is hard to control the brush in very small areas. Your tutorial is great, and adding to your review, I heard today at one of the CC TV shows about the family colors, so what they did ., they added additional different shades to amplify the family color, in the TV show, they have a chart of each blending marker color like “ dark green” between the 2 Tri-blends set of markers you have now 5 shades., so I guess you can mixed both sets for better results? I would like to try...but 1st I have to buy the new Tri-blend brush markers 🙈 thank you for sharing, and be safe!
Happy to help! They are currently on preorder through Craftstash for about $62 right now! I do have a link in the description box if you want to look that way. I couldn't find them on their site bc they don't have them listed to easily find under "tri-blend." (:
Nice! As you discovered, the blends are different in the brush tip pens. According to Leann that's because the brush tips are made to use the flicking technique and you will get more variations in color than when you're using a bullet tip and are laying down a solid layer of color first. She also said the markers can be refilled but just to dip the nibs into the refill ink and let the ink wick up into the barrel.
Dink dink dink...could you show us that again....lol...you are too cute! Thank you for showing the difference between the 2 Tri-Blend markers, I just ordered the Brush Markers from the CC website cause I thought they were a pretty good price and had been wondering about the "new colors" myself. Thanks for the heads up...
Looks really nice. I have some of the tri blend from Crafters Companion already, I like them. I got the final part of the Arteza bundle ( the 6 water brushes today) I guess I will start painting a couple of things pretty soon😀😀. Well y just keep safe and say hello to the family 😍😍😍🥰
Vianney thanks for making this review, I had no idea the brush markers would be different shades of the same colors, that would have been helpful information for CC to list. I even asked during one of the shows what the differences were between these pens and the original triblends, other than the nibs, and received conflicting info as well. However, like you stated it will be nice having 6 shades of a color in a smaller footprint, especially for traveling. I did order a blending pen for both the Illustrators and the Classiques, so I can keep one with this/these triblend set(s) and hopefully that will help w/those colors that don't appear to be as close in shade for blending. Your Friend, Michelle Parsons P.S. Thanks so much for the info! Truly, it;s the brush nib that sells these for me! Now that I see Craftstash has them for $62 I feel a little burned, but that's ok. I was able to use the $20 off $99...so it's not too bad. (I'll keep telling myself that) Thanks for the concern on the fires. It is crazy right now. I hope they can get a handle on them, God bless those firefighters and I hope everyone can be safe.

@@cherylmcclendon4726 TY! I just found them, I guess looking under "tri-blends" wasn't good enough! LOL! What an amazing price. The pre-order was to end today so you should be getting them sooN! ENjoy!

Vianney, OMG! Mine finally arrived yesterday. Grabbed the first stamp I could reach stamped and started coloring. Oops, wrong time of stamp ink, but I was not to be deterred. First thought, ugh! What went wrong? Put it aside and went to bed. I got up this morning and searched out your help. Started going over my coloring again and wait, wait, what!? OK! Now we are blending. I too LOVE the brush tip. Thank you so much for the assist. These almost got shipped back! One thought, with some of the colors being so far apart in number range, hopefully the additional shipments will "fill in" and bring them closer. In order to get a more seamless blend. What do you think?
Wow, LOL! I'm happy to have helped! Yes, I think they will do just that. Last time, with the original tri-blends...they did the original set and the rest were "shades." Helps with better blending. I'm assuming they'll do the same here.
Hi Vianney! I ordered these on A/S from HSN Craft Day AUGUST 10th ... and STILL have not received! Original ext del was 9/11, now it's 9/28 ... gosh, LOL! I know sometimes I may be able to find cheaper elsewhere, but the F/P really helps. Question -- what do you think of Tombow W/C Markers? Michaels had a big sale & then w/my sr. discount, was able to get packs for $13.49 each! Haven't used yet, but wondering if you like these or prefer another (Arteza, CC) more? I know you're super busy & may not be able to answer me ... but thank you so much anyway for all your videos :-)
Thank you for doing all these comparisons. I love brush pens but I'm not sure about the blends offered, esp when compared to the first tri-blends. I don't own any tri-blends at all, (but I own, I think, every Spectrum Noir alcohol ink marker) so at least I'm not too committed yet. I may have to watch your video again. Thanks!
@@VianneyCreates Right, so I'm kind of thinking these might work for coloring at the barn when I'm waiting to bring horses back from the pasture. I'm rewatching your video now🙂 and I wasn't crazy about the reds when you swatched them, but when you colored with them, it was better. It's almost like the brush pens are the oxide version of the original triblends.
Just wanted to let you know I ordered the markers plus a Tim Holtz stamp set I had been wanting and that I went through your link for the markers. Since this was my first order with them, I got the 15% off which put my total at $70.28 which meant that I got free shipping for having an order over $70.00😄
I’m wavering back and forth on these markers....I think I need to swatch out everything I currently have 🤪 then make a decision. I’m thinking between all the Spectrum Noir markers I have I might actually have all the colors, lol. I do love the brush nibs though....🤔. Decisions, decisions....
That's tough! I pretty much have all of the SN markers already, I switched out a lot of them for the Illustrators. I have the full set of original tri-blends...but I just loooooove brush nibs! BTW, I do have a link to this set on Craftstash and it is only about $62 there!
Mine are still on Extended Delivery as well. I actually just realized my Diamond Press Window View Autoship still hasn't shipped out too and it was due to on the 14th! No problems with the card it's attached to either. Weird.
I don’t have these but I have the entire collection of spectrum noir... a question.... what happened to the mixer/blender die and stamp from CC???? I don’t see It sold out on HSN or on Crafters Companion site.... I wanted that die so bad .... I had bought it and before shipment they said it was sold out .... don’t understand
I want to invest in alcohol markers but still am not sure which ones I should choose. I have the 96 Arteza water based real brush pens which I love. What would you recommend for coloring and blending stamped images?
All pens should have a nib and brush tips! I absolutely hate the broad tip, such a waste of a tip. I think I'm going to break out my stamps I got too...it was an excellent deal! PS just from your two samples, I like the original colors better, if you're only going to have one set. But, both are nice for all color variations. Have a wonderful day! We still have three weeks before school starts, then the dreaded mornings will be happening lol
I am guilty of getting Spectrum Noir markers and then not using them. I can not seem to work the correctly. You make everything you color with look beautiful. I think if you grabed a BlackBerry and colored with it, your project would still turn out perfect!!! Have a wonderful day. Have a good week with school ;)
LOL!! That's too funny! Well, you have more confidence in me than I do!! (: I always try to give the tips I know, I don't have a magic way of doing it. Maybe I'll describe the pressure, etc... that I use more. That might help.
I love brush tips, too!! I see that they are sucha great price on Craftstash! Good call! I did add alink now that they have them fro preorder (the preorder was dated for today, so I hope you get your markers soon!!) TY!
Vianney - I appreciated this video. I tried to find the set on HSN to buy it because I REALLY like that heart & wings. I couldn't find it on HSN - do you know where else it might be on sale? Also, I have been debating which type of coloring pens to purchase. I liked that these are brush tip and am grateful for your review. Are these better than Arteza? Does Arteza make brush tip pens? As a first time investment are these the best pens to buy?
I have so many Copics and quite a few original Spectrum Noir pens that I hesitate to buy any more markers. I don't really color alot and I just bought the water color pens so I think I'll pass on these Triblends. Thanks for your review!
You got yours! Mine are still stuck in "extended delivery". So when she was doing the demonstration she said that they were the same colors but I paused and zoomed in and the numbers were slightly different from the regular set of triblends. So not sure. BUT Thank you for doing a review on these. HAHA, you have no idea how many times I pulled the entire barrel out on the old set. Can you link the Arteza case that you buy for these pens? I measured and my arteza and these triblends are much longer than the Arteza. Hoping mine ship soon! Thanks and take care!!!
TY! The link for the pen case is in the description box. The color numbers are slightly different...as I showed in the video. So, they are not exactly the same blends of colors. TYSM!!
The colors are the same as in DR1 is the same across all the Spectrum Noir markers. In that sense they did not create any new colors. If you compare the color numbers in a given TriBlend new versus old, there are sometimes differences in the 3 colors used in the pen. LeeAnn said on the CC Color Me Happy show that with the brush nib the colors don’t need to be as close in color to blend well. So in some cases, the old set needed a Blend marker and a Shade marker, the brush set may ultimately only contain a Blend marker.
Thank you for reviewing these markers. Mine are still on extended delivery. I am curious if you have reviews of the various Arteza Pen/Marker Cases. How do the TriBlends fit in the one you linked above?
@jessica Yarbrough I was hoping to hear the reply to this question, too. My markers just arrived yesterday and I'm on autoship, so they will need a home soon.
Oh crap now that I have seen this video I have to buy these brush tips lol! I agree with you that brushes are better💜. I need to go back and try to find your video on the pen case from Arteza. Do you know which one it was?
LOL!! They are really great and I have a link to Craftstash (if they are still in stock)...they are a third of the price i paid on HSN. Here is the review of the case: ruclips.net/video/XLypuyyXhM0/видео.html
I am a fan of brush tips, bullet nibs are really small...probably would be more difficult for a beginner to color a larger area with. Brush tips are more versatile and blend so nicely.
@@VianneyCreates you are QUITE welcome! BTW, are you near Cost Plus World Market? I saw that they have Day of the Dead bowls out for Halloween decor & Frida Khalo journal & magnets out. If not, check out worldmarket.com.

I just received mine set today loving it with the papers
Enjoy them!!! TYSM!
@@VianneyCreates that sounds fantastic!!!
I like brush tip markers better also. I did find the set at craft stash pre order at a decent price. Thanks for sharing. Hugs and Blessings Jeanne
I love brush tips, too!! I see that they are sucha great price on Craftstash! Good call! I did add alink now that they have them fro preorder (the preorder was dated for today, so I hope you get your markers soon!!) TY!
Wich kind of original spectrum markers are you using please?
They are different shade varieties. She said because brush coloring needed different shades to make a smoother blend.
I hear ya! I am just such a sucker for brush tips!! TYSM!
Yeah, they aren't new colors...just different combos! TYSM!!
Would u suggest the bullet nibs or brush for a starter
I am a fan of brush tips, bullet nibs are really small...probably would be more difficult for a beginner to color a larger area with. Brush tips are more versatile and blend so nicely.
Hello, NOT to be an ENABLER, but the hedgehog hollow September subscription box is "Day of the Dead" .
Alert, alert!! LOL!! I love everything Day of the Dead!! That's so cool, TY!
@@VianneyCreates you are QUITE welcome! BTW, are you near Cost Plus World Market? I saw that they have Day of the Dead bowls out for Halloween decor & Frida Khalo journal & magnets out. If not, check out worldmarket.com.
MUJER!!! You MUST get up at the butt-crack of dawn to stay ahead of us!!! WOW!
I do!! Most days it's easy for me, but some days....it can be painful! LOL!! TYSM!
Do they feel top heavy since they are taller?
I don't feel like that's the case, I didn't feel anything odd or heavy about using them...but I do have the originals. Maybe I'm used to it?
Thanks for sharing I was wondering about the markers
Glad it was helpful! TYSM!
The brush tips are better for coloring animals and hair making different strokes rather than the brush nib
I love brush nibs!! So soft and nice, but using them today on my Art Impressions card...they were harder to control! LOL! I haven't used my Copics in years so forgot what to do!! (:
