  • Hello,
    After patiently waiting almost three months I install a Mass Air conversion from Miller Performance Cars on my vintage BMW E32 735iL.
    Was the wait worth all the aggravation (there was plenty..)? Watch the video and see.

    Wow, what an aggravation bet you are glad it wasn't a customers car that would have been more of a pain. Great vid Carl stay warm up there.

    I just want to say that I ordered my Miller MAF on May 22nd, Labor Day weekend and I received my shipment that following Tuesday, the 26th. I really feel like this may have been a one off situation considering that my experience with Brody was very pleasant, along with a lot of other people I've seen on BMW forums.

      You are a bad ass mechanic Carl. I was rasied in New Jersey and have brothers and sisters that still live there. Nostalgic to hear NJ accent. Wife drives 1996 Jaguar Vanden Plaus, I'd say the Jaguar 4.0l inline six sounds much smoother than BMW. HaHa. Thanks for your videos I always learn something new.

      Laramie Jim thanks Jim nice to hear from a local. FWIW Jags have to be smooth. The Germans are all about being "sporty". I guess "sporty" is rough lol.

    What is the hp gain?
    How mouch was the kit?
    Thank you.

      @Broncocarl92  4 года назад +1

      I'm not sure of the gain as I do not have open access to a dyno. I believe the advertised gain is between 10 and 20 HP, you can check the website for confirmation. I would assume results will be different from car to car based on age and wear of engine. The price was 439.00 USD.

    Would you recommend an EAT chip or Shogun chip instead?

    • @Broncocarl92
      @Broncocarl92  5 лет назад

      MiniCactuar I have no experience with either.

    • @serge933
      @serge933 5 лет назад

      I think the Miller chip would be designed to be used for the Gen 3 MAF. The Shogun chips would probably not work as it is more of a fuel/air map adjustment chip IIRC.

    • @houseofno
      @houseofno 5 лет назад

      Per Shogun, the Shogun chips are not intended for cars with a CEL (Check Engine Light). This rules out USA cars on US roads. You should use a Dinan chip for US cars if you want the CEL to keep working.

      I'm in the middle of rebuilding the engine. I expect it to run VERY well once it's complete.

      @@Broncocarl92 Did you finish the engine? I just did my step-mom's 735 il.. but it had only 237,000 miles on it. For some reason it had iron rings in it and of course they wore out. I recommend the Goetze chrome rings if you're going to put another 300,000 on it, just be sure of your bore finish so they'll seat properly. I actually just changed the rings and rod bearings in situ and put a good used head on it, runs like a top except for the familiar volume AFM stumble/delay that you can ALMOST tune out.. I am considering the Miller MAF and interested in how it held up!
