Got a question for you subtlefw…I solo tanked togc 10 last night and we got to anub with 50 attempts. I can’t seem to survive the burrower debuff and anub. I noticed even though you lite them around the ice you still get stacks. My problem was threat. Dps would pull the burrower off me and I’d have to go reaggro them and stacks ramp up fast and I get killed by anub. I literally just answered my own question. I’ll just bring a hunter or rogue to tricks them
Yah tricks/MD will help a ton. Just pop a CD if you need to tank the adds for a little bit to establish threat then start kiting them around the frost patch
Hey man, can I use revenge build for solo tanking or full prot is better? Or can I go fury/prot with shield? 41 pt for 5% caster and melee cit buff and rest pt go in prot tree?
@SubtleFW well I was thinking of full prot and fury and taking Death Wish instead of Shockwave because Shockawave doesn't help against Bosses in raids, but Death Wish gives more damage which means more threat against Bosses and against mobs aoe situation, isn't that good?

I had some extra BV on but won't do that again for 10m Anub. It's still great for 25m as BV reduces a significant % of add damage and more avoidance is great for pushing more normals off the table. We just can't get to the point of taking 0 damage like was possible before
Hey man.. wanted to ask, is it worth tanking even as off tanking just for the trash mobs as dual wield warrior? You know, like back in vanilla or shield is just better in this expansion? And is it worth dropping half of the other talents in the protection tree just to get Rampage buff for 5% increased ranged and melee crit chance from fury tree? Dual wield+Rampage buff, 1h and shield+Rampage buff or just the standard prot warr build for trash aoe tanking? Please help me everyone in the comments.
@SubtleFW Well you know, as warriors we are not being taken seriously, 80 even 90% of raids prefer DK or Druid as main and paladin as aoe tank and sometimes even paladin as main tanks, cuz you know they give buffs, unlike us warriors..that's why I want to go hybrid build and get Rampage, so I will have some advantage and increase my chances of being invited to raids.
If going full prot is the only way, is it worth dropping Shockwave for Death wish? You know, it's like a second Recklessness, more damage, more treat, better tanking, or its not worth it? It's just 1 point.
Sunder is really the raid debuff reason to bring war tank. Not worth going for death wish because you have to give up all of the good arms stuff you want like Deep Wounds
@SubtleFW It's fury tree better since you get improved cleave damage? Enrage, death wish which gives you more aoe burst? Or you mean Dot damage from deep wounds is better for consistent aoe? Small but consistent
when do u thunder clap and demo shot? cant seem to find out when i should use it and when not. does it depends on what grp u have different classes and so?
Thunderclap applies the same debuff as frost fever from dk, judgements of the just from prot pally, and infected wounds from feral druids, so you only need to keep up thunderclap if none of those are up (but frost fever will nearly always be up). Demo shout is the same debuff as vindication from prot/ret pally and demoralizing roar from feral druid, so you need to keep it up if those aren't up, which can be somewhat often because vindication is a proc that relies on high spell hit to have good uptime
I think you can do pretty much the same thing with just kiting in a circle around the ice. If some people in your raid can throw a stun on adds while they're in the middle of the ice (or off ice in p3) that would help
Hey, most or all of this group were the same players as the pally group just playing different chars, so the main consideration was just fitting peoples alts together to make 2 solid groups
During the First Phase from Nothrend, Beasts Gormok Hits me with Attacks above 25000 HP. Is this normal for a Warrior Tank? After a Hit im nearly half HP, its frustrating. Should i Call for some Defensive CD's?
I was using a cleave bar for a bit that just had my rotation abilities macroed with cleave for times I had infinite rage during AOE situations like on trash. I had a bind to swap back and forth between cleave and regular bar but I ultimately just found it easier to make a much better cleave keybind instead of doing the whole bar
I see the appeal for solo tanking, not enough tanks for 10man as their is and also offtank always feels kind meh. But man risking 50/50 on solotank in the first two weeks seems not worth it to me, maybe missing the confidence.
My group we just have a fury warrior go UA for the first and last boss at this point. Def needs more coordination to solo tank beasts than we can be arsed with. 😅

@@Senegaleca I'd go prot/arms for solo tank. The 5% crit buff is only phys in wotlk too, there's a separate 5% spell crit

You get a 10% armor pen bonus in battle stance, so it's good to use at times you're not being attacked
Using a block set on anub? Saw you swaping some items before the fight

@@Senegaleca hey, prot spec with shield is really the only way in wotlk. The revenge spec is the only other viable one but it's very situational

do u have problem with reaching hit cap? the more trial gear i get the more trouble i have getting to hit cap? and gemming hit aswell
@@marcdichmann1690 not really. I'm gemming vivids in yellows and using Accuracy and hit food. That combined with a few hit pieces gets me there

Yah definitely wouldn't do it until you are confident you have the fights nailed down or if you've already gone below 50
