Beterbiev was also out of competition a while, which isn't good at his age, and came back from knee surgery. He wasn't at his best. A lot of people even said he looked soft prior to the fight. Granted, he looked like iron in the ring again, but it definitely wasn't the best Artur.

It was a close match, but you can tell by Bivol’s face that he’s more disappointed with his performance than the actual result. He knows, and we know, he could’ve done better. He 100% deserves a rematch.
100% agree. To me, it was a very close fight. Bivol cumpletely gifted round 11 to Beterbiev, he stopped moving sideways and using his jab, and as a result he received punch after punch. The beginning of round 12 was the same. I believe he probably did it to gas Beterbiev out, but it ultimately costed him the fight.

Forget about that corrupt decision. Watching this guy fight is a pleasure. Hes up and down, in and out, combinations from different angles. The footwork is brilliant. Fantastic fighter, and as a fan of boxing, i will not let some bureaucrats overshdow th fact that this was a display of the art of boxing.
If boxing had any integrity they would have the rematch in a different country with different judges.

I had it 7-5 for Artur as well. I did expect a Bivol win because of the pace, but I was pleasantly surprised to see I scored it like the judges did. Wouldn't have been mad if Bivol won, but I think a lot of fans were mistaking Bivol's volume for landing shots. Bivol had moments. Artur had consistency. When he began to chase in any round, he wouldn't stop landing bit by bit until that bell rang.

I am sad, not because Bivol lost, but because of the failure of the judges to be fair. I had thought Artur would finish Bivol, but after wathcing the match, I am 100% with Bivol. In post match interview, Arthur himself did not show confidence he won the fight. He belived Bivol won but had to say ohterwise.

This really should be a quick rematch if it happens, beterbiev is only getting older. It needs to be in like 6 months and if biev wins he has a retirement fight against David benavidez cause that would literally solidify him as the best. David Benavidez needs to book a fight against bivol immediately if bivol doesn't get the rematch.
