But this steroid would kill him very soon which is why he keeps coughing up blood or that his clock ticks in his head (these were said in the rap)? Could someone explain his story to me? I think knowing the context makes songs a lot more impactful then they are already.
So Viktor is from the undercity where the air is toxic to people. He was exposed as a kid and is now deathly sick. He's experimenting with magic and a drug called shimmer to cure himself, but in the process ended up accidently Thanos snapping his assistant/love interest
He's born a cripple and grew up in the gutter of the city, so he got sick from toxic fumes. He's a genius but on a time limit. He wants to change the world but people keep telling him that his inventions are too dangerous and that he needs to spend more time tuning it. He does not have that time so he must take drastic measures. He's a super complex character and you should defo watch Arcane
