Yuji Itadori (虎いた杖どり悠ゆう仁じ Itadori Yūji?) is the main protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is the son of Jin Itadori and Kaori Itadori, and the grandson of Wasuke Itadori. Yuji was living a normal life in Sendai City until he encountered Megumi and ate one of Sukuna's fingers. After becoming Sukuna's vessel, Yuji began attending Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Megumi and Nobara as first-year students.

The lyrics here are really deep when you think about everything that happened in Shibuya from Itadori's perspective. Losing his mentor, friend and thousands of people dying from "his" hand while his mentality spirals down before he finally resolves himself to be cold

This show is kinda like Tokyo Ghoul and Parasyte. Where average teen kid (except Yuji was athletic and strong to begin with, just a huge nerd and didn’t care much for the talents he had) gets infected with the special stuff the show is about and uses the power he gets to fight the evil with it. Except in this one the evil thing inside of him has his own extreme sentience and malicious intent as he is the king of all curses. And the more of this power Yuji intakes the more power this being inside of him has regained from his previous life. And with that power he took over Yuji’s body during a critical moment in all the main characters lives as it was next to war happening. The being killed thousands of innocent people just to have a light sparring match with a couple of beings who thought they were hot shit. And when Yuji woke up from the aftermath. He started seeing everyone close to him dropping like flies. All as the being doing it (a different being from the me inside of him) was mostly toying with him to prove how much stronger he’s gotten. Even though it’s not all that much stronger. It just has more of an understanding of what it’s capable of.
Watch the JuJutsu Kaisen movie. It’s canonically the first thing to watch unless you wish to watch the first half of season 2 to get some back story of a few main characters first.
As I say I’ve kept it short and threw in just enough so that you can hopefully understand what the commenter is referring to as an outside party.
It takes everything you know about Shonen anime and throws it back in your face. “I’m going to monologue for 80 seconds to explain my ability, but jokes on you. Doing that has just made it 3x stronger, and may have even more things hidden behind it, good luck to you!”
Yuji says "I am you", but DPS say "I am him." This fit the ramp up to yuji snapping perfectly. Ice cold and absolute fire at the same time

This is BEAUTIFUL. From the message, the mixing, and the feelings in everyone's voices as they rap/sing, everything in this song came together amazingly, and left us with this masterpiece. Favorite part is that I can tell that it's using Yuji as a metaphor, and not just about Yuji himself. Love it when people do that in nerdcore, it brings such a personal feel to the music. Yea I related to this story of loss very heavily so yuji's story naturally fit with my own narrative as well. Its a fight of life and death and hating death for taking your loved ones away

I don't have any words. This song was a Masterpiece! The Vocals, lyric's, everything I love. You could really tell and almost in way feel how much pain Yuji went through out this. This was made for the people that went through a lot of pain, sorrow, stress, depression, anger and many difficult emotions in there lives. This resonated with me too because, of how much I went through as a child and still get back up and put a smile on my face like Yuji. I Really Love how you honor the character's personality and pain.

This whole song is beautiful, but the beginning really encapsulates how real people probably felt in the classrooms after a horrific day, and then the breathing trying to call names of lost one but you know they won’t answer. Truly a wonderful masterpiece that blends real problems and the jjk narrative.

This song hits hard, not just in the lyrical or rhythmic sense, but in a way that resonates with my heart quite well. To those of us who have heard and understood "when it rains, it pours," this rap takes us on a journey with yuji that we can sympathize with. The feeling of optimism for a happy life, one with laughs with your friends and love with your family, to have it torn all away is a harsh reality humans have to suffer, some more than others, some more accepting and some in denial. But if I can say one common denomination found within those changes, it's a feeling of pain that numbs us to everything, including the weight our own lives hold. Yuji casting aside his optimism for a mask of pragmatic pessimism was the way he saw forward to his survival and to carry the wishes of those he lost. And that very act, although not portrayed directly by yuji out of deliberation but of desperation, goes to show the harshness of life. This rap is, in my opinion, THE anthem of desperation for humanity, and a perfect embodiment of yuji's turmoil through this arc. Daddyphatsnaps is already starting my year right with this rap.

I actually feel this on a very deep level especially seeing two of my family members leave, then i had all these emotions and didnt know how to deal with them. Like why was it them? What did they do? Was this better for them? Luckly i still had people in my corner to help me with that like todo with yuji. Now ive gotten better handling my loved ones leaving.

I love how this song parallels the previous sukuna song which was more upbeat with the beats representing how sukuna was like in the shibuya arc. While this song is more mellow and slower representing how low yuji felt. I also liked how as the song progressed, it went from a song talking about how depressed yuji felt, and near the end it turned into a song about yujis anger and how he snapped in the arc.
