Ken Kaneki (金カネ木キ 研ケン, Kaneki Ken) is the main protagonist of the Tokyo Ghoul series. He is currently Touka Kirishima's husband, and the father of Ichika Kaneki. Previously, he was a student who studied Japanese literature at Kamii University, living a relatively normal life. However, this quickly changed after Rize Kamishiro's kakuhou was transplanted into him and transformed him into a one-eyed ghoul. Kaneki is the first known artificial one-eyed ghoul. His unique half ghoul state is what later inspires the idea of the Quinx. After joining Anteiku as a part-time waiter, he learns how to live as a ghoul and eventually becomes known as Eyepatch (眼帯, Gantai).

This Feels Like an older Kaneki Talking, about what he went through when he became a ghoul. To someone who doesn’t know who he became at the end of his story. What he did and accepted, a simply masterful take on a character like him.
exactly what I was going for. The verses are him changing in the moment and the chorus is him reflecting back later on

Tokyo Ghoul is one of those animes that came out a long time ago that I just havent gotten around to seeing but THIS RAP WAS GAS IM GONNA HAVE TO BINGE IT TONIGHT!!!!!!! The entire first verse sounded like a slow burn decent into madness which I loved before giving into the insanity and letting loose with an acceptance as to what hes become in the second verse with some really fun word play and bars AND THAT CHORUS WAS SO RAW MAN WHEN DID YOU GET THOSE PIIIIPES!!!! I HAVENT HEARD YOU GO OFF LIKE THAT SINCE THE BENIMARU RAP!!!! This was gas all the way through im definitely checking out tokyo ghoul now
You really have to give the show a chance and then after the first season pick up the manga as it is the best interpretation by far

Fave part of the song is the hook/chorus. I can identify with the sentiment. Memories of who you were once versus who you are now and what you older you might think of the you that exists.
