I just got back from California and my nephews asked me to ride my g2t board so I let them ride it about ten go by and one of my nephews come in the house with his arm scraped up so I bandage him up and went outside and would you know it the damn remote spring for the throttle was broke so I told the boys they could have my g2t board. I got back home and was kind mad but ok cause now I could buy a new board, so i finally got the G3 and thanks for sharing the weight issue, cause my weight flex a lot. Oh does the lights on the battery box change colors from white to purple?

Cory Escobar I love boosted but I think it’s hard to justify spending that type of money when there are so many boards that are very impressive for much cheaper. Just got my G3 a few days ago. I noticed that with my unit, they now have an updated version of the ESC. With this updated G3 I have found that the brakes are very strong, to the point where you can almost lock up the rear wheels. This is coming from a boosted stealth. I’m very impressed with the acceleration and braking performance and I’m glad they listen to these reviews!
Yeah I noticed the same thing. Just got my new G3 last week and put in over 60 miles. It’s my first e-skate but no complaints about the brakes as they are more than adequate in all 3 modes. If I don’t lean back during hard braking, I can be thrown off the board even in the Eco mode
It’s tough for heavier riders but I’m glad there are boards out there for us. Glad @backfire took the challenge too. Now we get a better idea of what boards better suit our needs without guessing and then being disappointed 😄 Great vid as always! Nice hat too!

Realsinceday1 don’t run from the turbo 😎😎😝 naw I use it for hills really. Sport mode is strong. Nowadays I like just carving just as much as speeding really fast. You know I represent for the big guys 🤙🤙

Thanks. I'm 250lbs and 6'7. But genuinely tired of day to day traffic and my cars are built for the race track anyway. So I'm looking into these to get around the city. I can't inline everyday when I stand all night. If I can rebuild a M3 motor in my sleep I can do this. You just sold it on to me.

As a 230 pound rider, this was my first board. I am incredibly happy with the performance for the price of the board. If I was to nitpick though, they sent me a board with a defective battery that got recalled. The new battery took ~16 days to arrive from China in January. However I've already put 100+ miles on mine and ran into another issue with a motor bearing breaking. They resolved this issue much faster and a new set of hubs will show on the 20th after contacting them on the 15th. Customer support is excellent and Jason from backfire has been nothing but pleasant. Just maybe wish their QC didn't screw me over twice but it's all good, the board is still under warranty. All around I enjoy this board far more than a meepo v2 my friend has. BTW, you get 13 miles? It might be because of the hills where I live but I seem to get closer to 9-10 riding agressive. James gfx thanks for stopping by. I was thinking long and hard about the miles too. I think a few factors helped. We had to stop at lights I know when you run the board consistently it’s eats battery quicker. We also stopped a few times to chill and talk. I bet if we rode straight (we could not though because of the boosted boards 😂) I would have got a little less. The G3 is a new board so the first few months there is a higher likelihood that QC may be off because they are still working out kinks. But like you said Backfire does a good job taking care of their customers. And they are timely with responses. I am glad you are enjoying the board. I hope you get her up and running real soon. 🤙🤙This was my initial ride. I will do an update video with a range test and my thoughts after riding more. But I did ride 30 miles before making the video which is not too bad for an initial review. 🤙🤙🤙Ride safe.

Just got my G3 last week and I absolutely love it. It completes my life. I had to loosen the trucks a little bit to make deep carves. Amazing street surfer board. Wide enough for cross stepping and Peter Panning too. Only disappointment is that it’s much heavier than I thought so not been able to power slide, especially with grippy wheels. Surprisingly G3 is quieter than my Loaded Vanguard traditional longboard. It’s buttery smooth on nicely paved roads. For quiet smooth ride, G3 all the way
So I just tested out my G3 over the weekend, and ate the ground pretty hard. As you've mentioned, overall it is a very stable and flexible deck going at high speeds. My only recommendation is to watch out for foreign objects or in my case a manhole cover. I was going about 20mph down hill, and was just gonna cruise past the manhole cover without hitting the accelerator but ended up eating it bad. Got beat up and was bleeding all over bc I didn't have gear on but I got lucky bc could've been much worse. I hit the left side of my face, and was dripping in blood. Anyways lesson learned, always wear a helmet, and pads even if you don't think it's cool. Also, never underestimate going past a manhole cover at fast speeds bc can easily lose momentum/traction. Anyways, like the vid, the Backfire G3 was my first choice, and even though I explored all other options, it was this vs the Exway X1 Pro but glad I stuck with this board bc with my Inboard M1 which is a stiff deck, my feet would get fatigued after 3 miles or riding. The G3, I don't have that issue with, and also X1 Pro is false advertisement as most people only get 10 miles with the board while I can easily get close to 20 miles with the G3.
Richard Phi oh man I am glad that you are ok. I pad up and now we all wear full face helmets. I do not think helmets that just cover the top of ones head is enough when riding electric vehicles. Nice review man. Got the G3 as my first board and am not disappointed at all. Funny you talk about range anxiety. That's me everyday. I weigh 160 and got 15/16 miles going about 25mph the only time I ever tested. Think the temp was in the mid 50s.
spliff de la kong that’s dope. Some boards you only get like 7 strong miles. This board is different. You get at lest 11 -13strong miles. How long you had yours?
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent got it the first week of December and ride a mile and a half to work and back everyday when the weather permits and it's been pretty permitting. It's been too chilly when I get off in the mornings to ride around but when it's nice enough I'll cruise till I kill the battery. Got 241 miles so far.

Got 18.5 miles full to flat on my g3 averaging 15mph on flatish ground and I'm around 200lbs, superb range, have to try same route when my lycaon swift arrives see what range that boy has but id recommend this board to anyone 👌
I'm 220+ and I have hit high 20's before backing off. I have the same board. Exway X1 pro riot and hub. This board is way better in power, range, handling, and comfort.
18:25 One of my ride partners has a Halo and felt like it was the shiznit until he tried my G3 last weekend. He said he paid 3 times what I paid and that the G3 is far superior to his board. That's saying something.
I just bought the G2.. I'm waiting for it to ship.. I own a V3 ride it everyday.. I just wanted another board to ride. I'm going to take both when I ride. I'll strap one to my backpack. Can't wait to compare to my V3 .. the V3 is faster I think the Backfire will be more comfortable

lol I got mine for only 549 for Black Friday. I regret it tho because a few days after that the zealot went on sale for dirt cheap. Eh doesn’t matter tho.

Max Tan Backfire did a really good job with this board. I have the G2t and this G3 is a huge improvement. It offers a lot of value. If Backfire gets an app they can really separate themselves.

Nice!. I got the g3 plus. I weigh about the same 221lbs or more, aint checked lately. But YO! The board is unbelievable. Long long range on single charge, and yeah g3 plus is a little rough. Slight flex. But the handling. WOW! Now I did have a problem with the battery. Wires were crushed from assembly and some of the broke. Turbo was no more at that point. But got new battery in less than 8 days. We on and flying again. Next up. Direct drive on this g3 plus. I might do a video on that. Yo bruh. Keep it smooth and stay wheels down. Roll safe and looking out for your next top speed ride on your g3. 👍

Hey Man I have to report that Backfire have a great customer service we bought a g3 and have 2 issues with it an the service back up their product 100% i will recomend to any one Specially for the product back up
got the board. the torque is NUTS and it feels like a belt drive. first day riding it, and i fell lol. didnt get a scratch on me tho. im about 130lbs 5'7 and i got about 28-ish km range. the board was below 25% at the end, but not dead. i was switching between eco and sport mode. good board.
the top speed in sport mode is something that u dont even need, but have. especially turbo mode. youll probably never use it because it's SCARY AS HELL, but at least youve got it lol.

@@matthewjsherman I got mine about a week ago and I already drove well over 60 miles. It is really good on bad streets as well as good ones. My one concern is the battery. I know that it is cold right now but 7 miles seems a tiny bit low for someone who only weighs 150 pounds. Anyway it is incredibly stable. I was able to hit the top speed on the second day (24mph on the first day). All in all, I would highly recommend.

I’m deciding between this and the ranger x3. The main thing is there are a lot of trails near me with very smooth flat trails but they’re dirt/gravely. Can this board handle that and the dust/sand or do I need the off-road x3?

Geoff B someone in the group rides it. She loves it. She rides it with the at wheels. She actually pulled someone up the ramp I went up. She had the cloud wheels but she said it bottomed out too much which is why she uses AT wheels. They do have the carbon edition too which is a stiffer deck.🤙🤙 I rode the board and I think it’s solid. Both are good boards. The Exway has some great features app, stand but mode...But range range range range 🤷♂️ I want to get my hands on an Exway Flex
Richmond Sapatin man there will be so many similarities. I think the main difference is the App exway provides and the features that come with it like standby mode and adjusting braking acceleration curves. I'm torn between the G3 and the Onsra Black Carve 2. Do you think one is better than the other for a skater with no experience who only wants to drive on paved roads with minimal carving and no more than 20 MPH?
Personally I love belt drive so I would compare Black Carve to the Backfire Zealot. My preference is reverse kingpin as well. Both are good man can't wrong with either. Please support by using my links I have them for city companies.

You say the 96 mm wheels handled cracks well. Are these wheels good enough for a rider who is only going to ride on relatively smooth paved roads and sidewalks. Can they handle rocks as well as the cloud wheels? Or should I get the 105 cloud wheels?
Cloud wheels will be more versatile. I say ride the board stock see how it feels then go from there. I have a review of cloud wheels on this board on the channel.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I just watched a podcast where two guys had nothing positive to say about cloud wheels. They insisted they were worthless and dangerous because of traction. It was a little bizarre because they dismissed every positive review about them as if they were all wrong. Do cloud wheels, because of having less contact surface, tend to slide out more than stock wheels on paved roads? (I've watched almost all of your reviews on the G3 and cloud wheels.)
G3 is charging, so I'm watching videos of other people skating... naturally. They should gauge specs on people at around 200lbs. Allegedly that's the average human male weight. Substantially closing the gap on real world vs expectations.
Yeah that or have a chart showing the range of various weights. But I think everyone knows you will never get the stated specs. But the boards are gettingso much better that the range is increasing too.

What are your thoughts on going with stiffer bushings? I know Meepo has that option for heavier riders? I read these boards use a specific type of step bushing.
GMUMMY you can change the bushings if you like on any board. There are so many brands. Right now I like the stock bushings on my G3. I changed the rear bushings on my Exway.
GMUMMY do you mean bushings? I know that the G3 has caliber in front and back and G2t has a caliber in the front only. I also believe that the g2 does not have caliber at all so I do not know what bushing or truck they use. It’s probably generic. You can always put your own bushings in also to customize. Hope this helps. 🤙🤙

Cory Escobar I love boosted but I think it’s hard to justify spending that type of money when there are so many boards that are very impressive for much cheaper. Just got my G3 a few days ago. I noticed that with my unit, they now have an updated version of the ESC. With this updated G3 I have found that the brakes are very strong, to the point where you can almost lock up the rear wheels. This is coming from a boosted stealth. I’m very impressed with the acceleration and braking performance and I’m glad they listen to these reviews!

Yeah I noticed the same thing. Just got my new G3 last week and put in over 60 miles. It’s my first e-skate but no complaints about the brakes as they are more than adequate in all 3 modes. If I don’t lean back during hard braking, I can be thrown off the board even in the Eco mode

Thanks. I'm 250lbs and 6'7. But genuinely tired of day to day traffic and my cars are built for the race track anyway. So I'm looking into these to get around the city. I can't inline everyday when I stand all night. If I can rebuild a M3 motor in my sleep I can do this. You just sold it on to me.

As a 230 pound rider, this was my first board. I am incredibly happy with the performance for the price of the board. If I was to nitpick though, they sent me a board with a defective battery that got recalled. The new battery took ~16 days to arrive from China in January. However I've already put 100+ miles on mine and ran into another issue with a motor bearing breaking. They resolved this issue much faster and a new set of hubs will show on the 20th after contacting them on the 15th. Customer support is excellent and Jason from backfire has been nothing but pleasant. Just maybe wish their QC didn't screw me over twice but it's all good, the board is still under warranty. All around I enjoy this board far more than a meepo v2 my friend has. BTW, you get 13 miles? It might be because of the hills where I live but I seem to get closer to 9-10 riding agressive. James gfx thanks for stopping by. I was thinking long and hard about the miles too. I think a few factors helped. We had to stop at lights I know when you run the board consistently it’s eats battery quicker. We also stopped a few times to chill and talk. I bet if we rode straight (we could not though because of the boosted boards 😂) I would have got a little less. The G3 is a new board so the first few months there is a higher likelihood that QC may be off because they are still working out kinks. But like you said Backfire does a good job taking care of their customers. And they are timely with responses. I am glad you are enjoying the board. I hope you get her up and running real soon. 🤙🤙This was my initial ride. I will do an update video with a range test and my thoughts after riding more. But I did ride 30 miles before making the video which is not too bad for an initial review. 🤙🤙🤙Ride safe.

Just got my G3 last week and I absolutely love it. It completes my life. I had to loosen the trucks a little bit to make deep carves. Amazing street surfer board. Wide enough for cross stepping and Peter Panning too. Only disappointment is that it’s much heavier than I thought so not been able to power slide, especially with grippy wheels. Surprisingly G3 is quieter than my Loaded Vanguard traditional longboard. It’s buttery smooth on nicely paved roads. For quiet smooth ride, G3 all the way
Nice glad you like it. You can slide it people slide electric boards all the time. Probably a little practice. Ride safe.
So I just tested out my G3 over the weekend, and ate the ground pretty hard. As you've mentioned, overall it is a very stable and flexible deck going at high speeds. My only recommendation is to watch out for foreign objects or in my case a manhole cover. I was going about 20mph down hill, and was just gonna cruise past the manhole cover without hitting the accelerator but ended up eating it bad. Got beat up and was bleeding all over bc I didn't have gear on but I got lucky bc could've been much worse. I hit the left side of my face, and was dripping in blood. Anyways lesson learned, always wear a helmet, and pads even if you don't think it's cool. Also, never underestimate going past a manhole cover at fast speeds bc can easily lose momentum/traction. Anyways, like the vid, the Backfire G3 was my first choice, and even though I explored all other options, it was this vs the Exway X1 Pro but glad I stuck with this board bc with my Inboard M1 which is a stiff deck, my feet would get fatigued after 3 miles or riding. The G3, I don't have that issue with, and also X1 Pro is false advertisement as most people only get 10 miles with the board while I can easily get close to 20 miles with the G3.
Richard Phi oh man I am glad that you are ok. I pad up and now we all wear full face helmets. I do not think helmets that just cover the top of ones head is enough when riding electric vehicles. These things are so fast. Here is the helmet I have it’s inexpensive and I think it looks cool. I can’t pay 500 for a helmet. They all do the same thing basically.

Nice review man. Got the G3 as my first board and am not disappointed at all. Funny you talk about range anxiety. That's me everyday. I weigh 160 and got 15/16 miles going about 25mph the only time I ever tested. Think the temp was in the mid 50s.
spliff de la kong that’s dope. Some boards you only get like 7 strong miles. This board is different. You get at lest 11 -13strong miles. How long you had yours?

It's been too chilly when I get off in the mornings to ride around but when it's nice enough I'll cruise till I kill the battery. Got 241 miles so far.

Got 18.5 miles full to flat on my g3 averaging 15mph on flatish ground and I'm around 200lbs, superb range, have to try same route when my lycaon swift arrives see what range that boy has but id recommend this board to anyone 👌

Nice!. I got the g3 plus. I weigh about the same 221lbs or more, aint checked lately. But YO! The board is unbelievable. Long long range on single charge, and yeah g3 plus is a little rough. Slight flex. But the handling. WOW! Now I did have a problem with the battery. Wires were crushed from assembly and some of the broke. Turbo was no more at that point. But got new battery in less than 8 days. We on and flying again. Next up. Direct drive on this g3 plus. I might do a video on that. Yo bruh. Keep it smooth and stay wheels down. Roll safe and looking out for your next top speed ride on your g3. 👍

first day riding it, and i fell lol. didnt get a scratch on me tho.
im about 130lbs 5'7 and i got about 28-ish km range. the board was below 25% at the end, but not dead. i was switching between eco and sport mode.

the top speed in sport mode is something that u dont even need, but have. especially turbo mode. youll probably never use it because it's SCARY AS HELL, but at least youve got it lol.

@@matthewjsherman I got mine about a week ago and I already drove well over 60 miles. It is really good on bad streets as well as good ones. My one concern is the battery. I know that it is cold right now but 7 miles seems a tiny bit low for someone who only weighs 150 pounds. Anyway it is incredibly stable. I was able to hit the top speed on the second day (24mph on the first day). All in all, I would highly recommend.

I’m deciding between this and the ranger x3. The main thing is there are a lot of trails near me with very smooth flat trails but they’re dirt/gravely. Can this board handle that and the dust/sand or do I need the off-road x3?
Get the zealot s2 belt drive is better. You could then put some larger wheels on it too.

Geoff B someone in the group rides it. She loves it. She rides it with the at wheels. She actually pulled someone up the ramp I went up. She had the cloud wheels but she said it bottomed out too much which is why she uses AT wheels. They do have the carbon edition too which is a stiffer deck.🤙🤙 I rode the board and I think it’s solid. I am not use to double king pin trucks. But I think it’s a good board for the price. thanks for stopping by.

Richmond Sapatin 😏😏 the boards I ride the most are this Backfire G3 and Exway X1 Pro Riot. But like you said the range on the G3 is amazing. Also the flex in the G3 feels so good. Both are good boards. The Exway has some great features app, stand but mode...But range range range range 🤷♂️ I want to get my hands on an Exway Flex

Richmond Sapatin man there will be so many similarities. I think the main difference is the App exway provides and the features that come with it like standby mode and adjusting braking acceleration curves. I'm torn between the G3 and the Onsra Black Carve 2. Do you think one is better than the other for a skater with no experience who only wants to drive on paved roads with minimal carving and no more than 20 MPH?
Personally I love belt drive so I would compare Black Carve to the Backfire Zealot. My preference is reverse kingpin as well. Both are good man can't wrong with either. Please support by using my links I have them for city companies.

You say the 96 mm wheels handled cracks well. Are these wheels good enough for a rider who is only going to ride on relatively smooth paved roads and sidewalks. Can they handle rocks as well as the cloud wheels? Or should I get the 105 cloud wheels?
Cloud wheels will be more versatile. I say ride the board stock see how it feels then go from there. I have a review of cloud wheels on this board on the channel.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent I just watched a podcast where two guys had nothing positive to say about cloud wheels. They insisted they were worthless and dangerous because of traction. It was a little bizarre because they dismissed every positive review about them as if they were all wrong. Do cloud wheels, because of having less contact surface, tend to slide out more than stock wheels on paved roads? (I've watched almost all of your reviews on the G3 and cloud wheels.)
G3 is charging, so I'm watching videos of other people skating... naturally. They should gauge specs on people at around 200lbs. Allegedly that's the average human male weight. Substantially closing the gap on real world vs expectations.
Yeah that or have a chart showing the range of various weights. But I think everyone knows you will never get the stated specs. But the boards are gettingso much better that the range is increasing too.

What are your thoughts on going with stiffer bushings? I know Meepo has that option for heavier riders? I read these boards use a specific type of step bushing.
GMUMMY you can change the bushings if you like on any board. There are so many brands. Right now I like the stock bushings on my G3. I changed the rear bushings on my Exway.

GMUMMY do you mean bushings? I know that the G3 has caliber in front and back and G2t has a caliber in the front only. I also believe that the g2 does not have caliber at all so I do not know what bushing or truck they use. It’s probably generic. You can always put your own bushings in also to customize. Hope this helps. 🤙🤙

Get the Zealot S if you are looking at Backfire. I have a review of that board I the channel. The deck is better. Less flex. Would be good for you. If you consider this board. Consider using my backfire link in description.
