This week I went to check out the conditions on the RUFA course after an avalanche swept down Rock Canyon and caused the event to be canceled. Race Directors are saying that they will potentially hold the event in the coming weeks, but I know how tough permits are to come by so who knows what will happen. For now I am resetting my focus on Gorge Waterfalls 100k in April. Gorge will be a much faster race than RUFA with much less climbing. So my training will have to change from big vert to quicker, more rolling terrain over the next 8 weeks.
