I know this is a bit old so I'm doubtful I'll receive a reply, but how would one go about adjusting this to accommodate a coffee mug's handle? I had wanted to make one as a quick little last-minute gift but realized this was only for standard cups. Regardless, I will definitely be making one so thank you for the pattern either way! In order to customize the circumference of the cozy, do you make the chain the same size or a few chains shy of the circumference?
You can make the chain the same size. When you work into the chain, it will tighten it and make it snug fitting :)
