I'm new to the world of rc crawling and just bought my first one yesterday. I had been looking at getting the TRX4 Blazer or the SCX10III Jeep because I love the scale detail but I decided to get the TRX4 Sport instead. Partly due to budget constraints and partly because I have no experience with rc crawling. I'm glad I went with the Sport. After an hour of rolling over on the rocks, she is pretty well scratched up. I almost lost it down a 30 foot cliff....I got some practicing to do 🤣
As an automotive transport specialist, I like the red color compared to the plain dark grey. That looked like the Rubicon version of the Gladiator. Not a big Jeep fan but that is one nice realistic looking RC. Thanks for unboxing and showing us that Jeep Gladiator.
Very good driving my friend. I just saw Rich from Horizon on Harley designs in SBG last night showing this truck live. I want one bad and you already have it. I built the kit version of the Jeep JL and I have been putting in the wheel time with it the only thing that I have noticed is that the pan hard mount will work loose from the shock tower every now and then 👍🏻👍🏻
Ok so looks like I've found my upgrade from my og scx 10 which sports a Cherokee body with the huge poison Spyder flares. Now Medic I'd like to say for all of us in the hobby thank you for your continued videos even in your current physical shape we applaud and thank you and Jen of course.
Put some Capera axles under it the extra width would make it look great and perform even better. Great wheelbase !! Lighten it up and put a G6 body on it cut the rear section so the rear tires stick past the body. My wroncho wheel base is 13 5/8 and I love it.
That thing is SWEET! I have been waiting to pull the trigger on a Jeep because I knew sooner or later they would release a Gladiator! Horizon Hobby has really stepped it up. 2020 has been a great year for the RC hobby. Too bad it has pretty much sucked for everything else, but this baby will help make it a lot better. I have started to notice that every time Gem wears her Knight Rider shirt it costs me another 500 bucks. I’m going for the grey one. Cheers!
Had to watch this video again,I am really loving this gladiator.from the long wheel base to the amazing detail throughout.The deep box is a plus also. the smart radio tech I am not too familiar with but being able to monitor your battery level onboard and ability to adjust the brake on the fly are certainly advantages I would like to have. Lastly I really love the red. lol SWEET RIDE BRO.
She's a beauty, eh. I bought the 1:1 in June '20, Rubicon, black. Love it. Got the Pro-Line Body for SCX10 with plans to match the 1:1. I have been day dreaming about the SCX10 iii but want it blue. It doesn't come that way, so I didn't pull the trigger. Now Horizon releases THIS! ADM-(aye dios mio)(OMG). All the scale detail features. Pure eye candy, Yum! You drove her very well. Sound kit? I've always wanted one but never did it. I like the ones you've added to your previous RCs. So sure why not? Uhh...you can always turn it OFF. Thanks for displaying your awesomeness! 00
Im some trucks yes sound kit is mandatory, but in a crawler sound kit can be distracting. So in this one id say NO. But your the boss Medic and either way watched ever video u have made and as a number 1 FAN, I'd love it either way!!!!!!!! Said it once say it another billion times u are my number 1 youtuber out of the 15 I watch? Go team medic!!!!!
Excellent this scx10 III especially for the locking of the rear axle which is really very practical, the crawling test was really at the top, and one or two small scratches gives character to the jeep 😄 Super video .
Awesome footage guys, really like how you talk through what you are trying to achieve with your wheel speed and positioning etc... gives new comers and learners an insight into how to get the most out of their trucks and get the job done... Great work.. Cheers mate👍
What a great test video! Enjoyed every second of it and you have some mad crawling skills! I had a first gen SCX10 and it was a beautiful beast but this new one is off the charts! I just purchased the SCX24 Rubicon and its a mini blast but I love the 1/10 scale adaptability and looks! Those things will go anywhere right out of the box!

I wanted to wheel a scale Jeep truck with lights two years ago, so I started building and fitting a Commanche hard body to my TRX... And never quite figured the mounting out. Your Bronco inspired me to want a sound kit, but there's just no room left on my TRX Defender frame.

Sound kits are pretty important when playing around with a rig and when walking with it through the town. But when it comes to serious work in the woods or the mountains over hours and you have 10 mates with you, sound kits suck. But man, what a cool truck!
If a guy bobbed the bed too get approach and departure angles the same as the front end this thing could climb some crazy angles. I think the wheel base is spot on. I want one.
It appears to be a very well done body. I had the grey one in my cart with a 3s but Easy pay and PayPal are not currently available. So I will have to wait. Axial is really stepping up with the RTRs.

I've NEVER bought a RTR, and I don't want to start now. 😁 When Pro-Line came out with that HORRIBLE disproportionately sized Gladiator Body, I was so disappointed. The key was the added Wheelbase - which surprisingly you never mentioned - at 13.9"!!! The longest 4X4 RC Wheelbase ever offered! It didn't seem to hurt you much on the Rocks! Not a SCRATCH!!! 😁 I really can't wait to try ANY SCX10 III. It's really a step forward for Axial. 💯👍👍 Frankly - until Axial comes out with a WIDER ratio 2 speed Gearset, I'd leave the Dig. Yes I like the sound box as long as it suits the vehicle. You know like having a sound of a V8 in one that only came with a 4cly. Those would sound like a pissed off bee 🐝. Also I guess what I’m saying is the sounds should be to scale and I think it should rev like the real thing to not same sound the whole time. I know you understand what I’m saying. I have watched your videos for a long time man I enjoy what you and I’d be lying if I wasn’t a little envious as well. Lol

I would pick a grey one..... You could always use a different radio and use both dig AND 2spd... I am neither a fan of, nor a hater of sound boxes... I wouldn't buy one, but if I got a kit that came with one I would use it... Miss you guys... If they extend the border crossing I will have to wait till next year to come visit

Great, just when my long awaited TRX-4 Defender finally came, Axial decided to release Gladiator. Already have 2012 SCX10 Unlimited C/R edition, SCX10 II Kit and passed on 3rd generation since I was not interested in another Jeep. But that Gladiator body is something I like. Sheesh. Oh well... time to save money then :) For the time being I'll enjoy TRX-4. As for the sound kit - both. One time I like to hear pure RC sounds, other times I like that extra realism and plug sound kit. Depends on mood and having an option is always nice.
Another great video thank you, but that is my biggest problem what you showed at the end of the video. I will spend 20 to 40 minutes rock crawling and my battery will still be charged is it worth it at that point to discharge and storage charge the battery or just leave it for the next day? I know there's a million lipo videos but no one tells you this. Thanks again and keep the videos coming

I like the way your sound kits sound but only for a maximum of about 5 minutes, after that I like hearing the normal motor noise and having it nice and quiet, just my personal preference

Stick with it, it gets more fun with time and skill. Thats very capable and durable platform. Parts and upgrades are easily available.

You should get the tracks from traxxas for the sport they are really cool!
