    I still have the old red Sizzix machine. My grandson loves to cut out shapes with it.

    Although I’m not a beginner I enjoyed watching this video and I would agree with everything you said. I actually have everything you showed today (and more) as I’m sure you have too and it would have been great to have a video like this before I went out and bought what I did. I agree with you wholeheartedly about the Cutterpillar, I love the machine, but hate the colour. I’d love it in grey. I also agree with you about the Sizzix machines. I have every model, apart from the original and over the years I’ve tried practically all of the other brands and now I would say that I regret wasting my money on them. In my opinion the Sizzix is the best. Look forward to your next video.

    What I also love about my cutterpillar trimmer is the light shows exactly where you will be cutting.

    Thanks I’m beginning and have been watching lots of videos. I have recently bought all the basics you mention and especially love my Sizzix big shot. So easy to use and getting great results. I live in New Zealand so bought it from the U.S.A.

    I got a Big Kick that I got in 2010! Now, I also have a Big Shot Plus which I don’t use very often. I think they stopped making the Cuttlebug! I have a Martha Stewart Score board. I have a Fiskars paper trimmer but I wish I had a paper trimmer with a wider base (at least 8inches). Craft knife, a glass mat, a self healing mat, a heat tool, scissors and double sided tape, a hot glue gun, paper glues and card bases. Those are the things I can’t do without! I also have a poky tool, colored pencils, some stamps and stamp pads ( just about three stamp pads), and a laminator,

    Good video. I have everything on your list. I do prefer the Tim Holtz stamp platform over the MISTI, and fortunately I was able to get three (two travel, one standard) before they disappeared in the US. I am looking for another standard, so I'm constantly checking UK online craft stores to source one. Thanks again for the video.

    Thanks Again. I am definitely helped by your experience. I am able to go down through my card making wish list and select specific item that I had put in several brands of but could only go by how many stars they had. Nothing like experience and test of time👍🦋Marjorie from Georgia US

    I’ve been crafting for the most part of my 60 years. One of the tricks I came to was to keep a multi outlet extension cord on my sewing and crafting tables, that way I can plug/unplug things like the iron, glue gun, soldering iron or dremel w/o having to leave the table.

      Soooo true…. I finally got one ( w/ 6 outlets ) and it’s a game changer.Everything plugged in and ready to go when you’re on crafty and inspirational roll 🤗👍

      When my husband built my craft room he places 2 extension leads each holding 6 sockets and one multi use usb extension outlet that has 4 sockets and 6 ish outlets these run across as bbehind my desk so eliminates the constant need to plug unplug machines, hot glue guns , for cutting / embossing machines life saver in my mind.

    I live in the US . I bought the Tim Holtz stamping platform from a seller in the auK via the uS Amazon. Even with shipping, it was cheaper than the Misri. I bought the TH platform because I think monopolies are BS. It’s ridiculous that they are allowed to get away with price gouging for their inferior platform. I did have to make a cushion for the clear stamps.

      I too opted for the Tim Holtz platform. Easy enough to put some foam down when needed. She got ugly, and I don’t do ugly.

    I am so pleased I have found you, and that it is up to date information, as I have been overwhelmed at what to buy and money is tight x ty. What’s heat embossing? Have not got a clue what the misti thing is for, so I had better watch your video about it. Very confused about that, especially being your number 1 tool must have

    I just watched your video and your the first one to address 2 of the older zizzix dies. I am an owner of the original red machine with a lot of the older dies. My question is can you use the original red machine dies as well as the sizzlets and bigz?which you’ve already answered but what about the Original dies? I am considering buying a Big Shot but have been waiting for answers to my questions. Thank You

      Yes the original does work too - they are quite similar to Bigz dies.

    How do you deal with the fact that that card you spent so much time on is going to be thrown away?

      For me, I concentrate on the pleasure of creating beauty to share with friends and family, or to sell.
      I also sign my work, either at the bottom of any original artwork, or on the back with the notation "Designed and hand crafted by (my name)."
      I have fulfilled my intent. What the recipient does with my work is up to them.
      Some people keep their favorites, some keep everything, and others don't have the space to keep everything so toss after reading. I trust my efforts make them smile.

    I’m looking for a die machine . Like you say they have so many. But for the Majority say the big shot but what’s the different Plus one . I just one to do cards

    • @TinyStitches1
      @TinyStitches1 4 года назад +1

      The Bigshot Plus is a bit bigger and can take A4 sized dies and embossing folders. If you're mostly doing cards, you probably don't need to go that big.

    Do you know if the Bigz dies will work in the gemini machines ?

    • @sharoncurtis
      @sharoncurtis  3 года назад

      No they don't - the Gemini doesn't have a big enough 'mouth' for Bigz dies.
