Took a stop on the Fijian island from the motion picture 'Cast Away' and so decided to explore a bit

The rock was there but the message was not. This was about 15 years after production so I guess nature's elements have worn it away. You can see it towards the end of the video. (apologies for the late reply)

Yes. If I remember correctly, from what I heard the cave was actually on another island in the archipelago. Unfortunately I never saw it myself though. (apologies for the late reply)

No. The island is actually uninhabited. It's quite difficult to get to 😬
