- This unit has 15,000 miles and these bearings go out frequently especially if the seal is taken out first. This video shows simple replacement steps and how to get the job done with basic tools. A press can be used if available, but isn't necessary.

Dang that is a good design!
The only problem is steel fasteners corroding in aluminum and getting stuck. I've had to drill and steel insert one this summer and replace the differential cover on another.

I can’t get the axle cover back into the diff
Slap some oil or grease on the oring and tap on it some brap.
@@BrapStuff I’ve tried getting it on for a hour, I hope I didn’t bend anything, tomorrow during daylight I’ll check

No grease?? Um..
I don’t typically grease either left or right hub seal. For seals retaining oil, output shaft seals, crankshaft seals, etc. I do put a little grease on them.
@@BrapStuff Sorry my apologies I didn't see it was a sealed bearing. I thought you forgot to pack the bearing.
