You thoroughly ignored China’s involvement here. In fact, they were Khmer Rouge’s biggest ally here especially helping them arm their supplies. Sihanouk, who largely as well played a part in putting Pol Pot in power even spent the rest of his days in refuge in China.
The world is not a fair place. Just saw the movie "The Killing Fields", which ultimately led me to this documentary.
