  • The winning work at the AICP Awards will join the MoMa’s archive, side by side with art masterpieces. But is making museum-worthy art as tough as making museum-worthy ads?

This hurts my soul with its accuracy.

Lol the "don't change the title change the painting" hurts so much the amount of work that takes when the alternative is just re arraging letters

This should be required viewing at every film school, music school, art school :-) Get good ear plugs, or hold your nose and cash that cheque!

As an advertising creative: so hilarious, so painful, so ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!

Funny to hear this from ad agencies and creatives that now largely rely on AI-generated slop that clones the work of the artists.

You know the people being forced to do that don't like it either, right? If you're mad about AI being used to make lazy ads, something like this should be exactly what you're going for instead. Clever, real actors, quality props and production, pro-art, anti-marketing trends... hard to ask for more.

@@bowietwombly5951 Forced by who? So what are you saying, that we really shouldnt complain because creatives will complain for us how hard they have it with picky clients, all the while employing text generators and printing Midjourney pictures on CLVs? Sorry, I just find this very hypocritical - I have been in advertising for 20 years and know very well that the constant complaining about "clients" is almost always a coping mechanism to give up your own agency and blame lack of resolution and character on the Big Other - clients only do what agencies let them, its like complaining about ones own spoiled children or a partner that doesnt take you seriously.

Who is the actor playing Van Gogh? I recognize him but can't place him. And as others have said, this is so painfully accurate. I sent this to a client who does this to us all the time. I *think* they appreciated it.
