Mishandled from the start. Tried to deceive and got caught.
I can't help but feel like the only reason this group is revealing their plans now is because they've been discovered and would like to try to salvage what they can. They have a very long way to go to overcome my mistrust and skepticism.
You must mean that the politicians have found out about it and now have their hands out waiting for what they will get out of it. With housing as short as it is I think it would be a good idea to spread it out in new areas instead of piling it all into apartments near already crowded areas. No one is going to "Surprise" anyone with a suddenly built community. There is a review process. Lets see how bad it is after the government gets involved.
Travis Air force base is extremely important base. Protect the area.

The last thing the Bay Area Needs is another Major Community Spanning the size of Stockton between delta, The amount of traffic that already gets backed up on 12 and 113, and not to mention the bridge from Sherman island to Oakley is a ONE Lane Toll Bridge, this city isn’t fit for the Commuting Population that live in the surrounding cities that I Live in, nor the impact of the Vast Ecosystem of the land and Wildlife

@@garyjensen3414 do you know what fact I would love to learn? Why did Jan and the rest of the billionaires behind this “East Solano Plan” fight against similar plans in their own towns? They don’t care about the resident’s commute. They either want our vote to create an exclusive town with million dollar homes OR they want to export their Bay Area homelessness problem to sleepy Solano County. After what they did to those family farms, I don’t trust them one bit. This plan is getting vetoed by me.

It was in the news about huge land buys around Travis Air Base. China suspected. Now this? Do not defund the FBI. We need them now more than ever.

If you drive out to that area you’ll see it’s green and there are cattle and sheep grazing in open pastures. Flannery lies about how it is not useful land. Grass fed beef and sheep are what’s happening. We know that this time of year is really good for grazing due to all the minerals and vitamins in the fields.
The land rotates. Some years it grows wheat and alfalfa etc, other years cattle come and graze on it. It was a beautiful relationship between family farmers and ranchers. Flannery lied about the whole thing being dead farmland. It’s incredibly fertile land and if it were irrigated it would be supreme land. One farmer grows enough wheat to make 16 million loaves of bread in a year! Maybe that’s why they are so heavily invested in this land. We MUST consider that if the vote passes, there is no telling what these billionaire bros will be able to do and how far they will be able to expand. It may be just a little dot on the map now, but it might end up making a huge stain later. Our military base, our delta, our marshland, our protected wildlife, our dwindling water source. All of it is in jeopardy. VOTE NO ON EAST SOLANO PLAN/CALIFORNIA FOREVER!

They plan on 50,000 at first with space to grow to 500,000 and that really means 5,000,000. Epic fail.
This sounds like one of those 15 minutes city's that will control everything everyone does. Is this man even a citizen of the United States?

True. There can always be a a Win-Win deal. For example, a high-quality pre-fab home of 1,000 sqft can be erected for and sale to Solano County resident for $150K but there are can be contingency like they can't resell for 15 years something. In this case Flannery is making $ while Solano County residents live in new houses, and homelessness problem is solved. High living standards and life can be so easily to live if there is not too much beaucracy involved. The decent house of 1,500 sqft can be built for less than $100K but bureaucracy and government make YOU pay like $500K to $1M+ .

@garyjensen3414 First I gotta ask if you know how bad Hyway 12 is. If you create a marvelous massive new Community, there needs to be an equally massive new hyway to service it . Let's see, how about paying for a proper Impact study for this proposal first.
@@Userratolidon’t get me started on 113, the whole road needs to widened, soft Shoulder all the way from 12 To Dixon, more lanes creating more of an invest and more Problems that contradicts everything these guys plan on doing by being Eco friendly and Using Solar for this community that I doubt will be affordable nor easily accessible to buy for an average income family, this whole plan just is insane
I think it's a great idea we need more walkable cities. And I'm bored of most of the cities here now. They better have some discounted neighorhoods for service/retail/etc workers. I hope they don't just bus them in from 100 miles away
