We have actually been looking at properties in the Pensacola area for quite some time. I do love this house. I love the pool house structure. Very Unique. But there is just one thing, that I do not understand. It had been said, a few years back during the "McMansion building era", that Tuscan was being over done, and that was the reason for calling it "McMansion", because there were just simply too many Tuscan influenced decorating schemes being over done in one after another home. Personally, I absolutely love the color in Tuscan style homes. But since that McMansion label was applied, the homes building industry moved away from Tuscan to a West Indies style of decorating. So have what now is, white, white, white, white, white, white, white, and, even more white. West Indies has gotten to be boring and overdone as well. After buying two homes with white kitchens now and having a wife who absolutely hates white kitchens for their anti-practicality, we have hated our kitchens in two homes in a row now, just because of those white kitchens. White,...shows every single speck of everything, forcing you to constantly clean your kitchen and even then, all it takes is one speck to render all your efforts totally useless. Just walk outside one time and come back in through the kitchen, and your kitchen is trashed. Constantly cleaning is not fun, nor is remodeling one cheap, and if you have a dog, (we do), just forget about it. A white kitchen will never be clean for more than 5 minutes or less. Sorry, I just wanted to vent my opinion. Because I just don't understand this disdain for color when white is totally impractical. I know lots of people THINK they "like" a white kitchen, but I would bet that 99% who do, have never actually HAD a white kitchen, and they will learn to hate it. I just want to say again, I do love this home. I have looked at this house many, many times over the last few years, but we could just never live there.
