I saw it too you hear one trigger pull and the first dart bounces off the wall then you hear the second trigger pull and the dart that was falling from before goes flying up to the left. It's insane I rewatched it like 10 times

I reckon that the dart zone darts get a higher fps from the flywheels because the whole dart head and all is making contact with the flywheels
The foam is also pretty stout, so it may behave as though at higher crush than it is.
I like that there's a tune that plays when the FTL starts up. A very fitting tune for a Drac.

Gen 2 Workers have had trash glue since they were introduced. From what I've heard from Bradley Phillips, more recent batches of the already better glued Gen 1 Workers have great glue on them. He also did a good comparison for Workers vs cut AFs for flywheels. Generally darts will last longer out of a springer just due to the fact that the wheels aren't wearing on/squishing the darts and weakening the glue bond. Impact compression on hit is still a wear factor though.

NFStrike already sells a rig for dart-cutting... all ya need's a utility-knife blade and you're good to go.
What length are half lengths specifically
They are quite literally half the length of the standard elite dart, which is just under 3 inches, so just under an inch and a half for half lengths.

Worker darts are the false truth
For flywheels, yes, but the adventure force dart heads get stuck in springers, so worker wins in that category
@@KellenBluestein not precisely, that barrel was mainly the problem, was too thin. And to solve that recent they released half-lengths that are thinner.
@@curledvermin1177 waffle heads have a head the same width as the body, so they get stuck or slow down in a sealed breech system

Yo drac I've been trying to find a nerf event around my area (I live bout 5 mins from the Ohio river in West Virginia) and I've heard you mention some people up in Ohio is there a way I can get some more information?
For as much work as we put into our blasters, it sure is great that we finally have a dart that surpasses the rest by obvious measures. I've tested so many random darts now, it's really perturbing, because they all seem to react different to different blasters, and I find it annoying that even within the same catagory of blaster that darts will perform differently due to pusher rods or barrel contacts, etc.
I'm a flywheel guy, and after that a hammer guy (hammershot, doublestrike, etc., as backups), so finding the darts that are most compatible with my setup is starting to become more important than my next blaster because I want that accuracy, I want that reliability, and I want that predictability.
I loved your test, as foam flingers we dont need highly scientific tests to prove what our blasters and darts do, the proof is in the headshots, in this case, and you've definitely achieved that. Thanks for what you do, been a fan a long time now because of content like this!

How do you cut these down? And what size how do you get it precise?
Stephan darts are generally 3.6cm as opposed to the 7.2cm of average nerf darts. I've been using a simple guide I made out of a piece of cardboard and some duck tape and cutting them with a razor knife or box cutter. You can also find 3d printed guides to cut them very accurately and fast online, I actually just ordered one last night from foam technician for about 10 dollars with shipping to the US. I just started playing around with short darts last week and they are honestly a huge step up in terms of accuracy because the length of regular darts tend to make them start wobbling in the air, you can pretty easily see if you fire a few and look for the wobble.
I would suggest reading a few threads or watching a few videos on them before you cut any of your darts tho because it should be noted that at the very least you'll have to remove your dart posts to get the half lengths tight into you barrel. Generally you'll want to take out the air restrictors on most blasters firing them as well because since they're shorter they have to be very far back to depress the AR. For mag fed blasters it take a bit more work and usually some new parts, you'd need a new mag to fit short length darts, a mag well receiver, and a new dart pusher on a lot of model blasters as the pushers are meant to push full length darts. So far I've only been messing with front and breech loading blasters so my word is deffinetley not gospel. The first thing I tried it with, and what I'd suggest, is starting with something small and cheap like a jolt, all you'll have to do is use some pliers to twist out your dart post and cut some darts to the 3.6cm length. Just make sure you push the darts all the way in so the air restrictor is open completely. The difference between dart lengths is instantly noticeable and your blaster will still be able to fire full length darts. It's deffinetley a fun little project that's very simple to do, hope this helps!

What about in Hoppers like on bloodborne?
Dang, those DZ darts are on point. That was like what...80% accuracy (if you include the other two shots for lining up it comes out to be 75). You'd probably have to shoot 100 or 1000 to get a more accurate assessment, but they're true to hit that's for sure. And they hit hard as well; moreover, they're cheap! I think I know what I'm getting from now on.

Workers are still currently the best short dart for springers. Drac showed a Gen 2 Worker, which is know to have really bad glue compared to the yellow Gen 1 Workers. Workers will also be more durable out of a springer since flywheels compress the dart between the wheels, potentially weakening the glue bond.
@@pyschohippymofo I will admit my only 2 boxes I've bought weren't glued the best, but that was about 6 months or more ago. Just passing on hearsay, sorry.
@@pyschohippymofo Yep same, my reglues seem to be holding up. I tried some of the Sweet Orange darts from OutOfDarts, they hold up a heck of a lot better but have nowhere near the same consistency as Workers. I have to run around 1/6th more turns on my Caliburn SCAR barrel to get any accuracy and that just kills the range.
@@Stryker5260 if that's the case, what glue works the best to fix the worker darts when a broken one comes up? (ie elmers glue or standard super glue based on chemical reaction to the foam or rubber) Because I am very patient and would even re glue all 100 darts if I have to.
@@MrMiraculon I used super glue by itself, but wouldn't recommend it since when cured it can make the surrounding foam and connection brittle. This video ( ruclips.net/video/hMOLCbRGlbE/видео.html ) in addition to being a great comparison vid, has a link in it's description showing a very good way to use a combo of contact cement and super glue to create a very strong yet flexible bond.

Caliburns dont like adventure force or accufakes. I dont know why seeing as how theyll drop outta the front od the barrel if you tip the damn thing forward.
Also foam technician sells a dart cutting jig for the correct price if you don't want to pay nfstrike 45 dollars for the worker one. Or just have igor conjure one up for you. Use the black high carbon steel OLFA blades though. I get mine at home depot. They cut through foam like it was foam. They dull quickly but dont smoosh the dart up. Also glue blown off worker heads onto extra halfnof adventure force foam. Also strop the razor and youre good basicslly forever.
@@pyschohippymofo theres one thats listed up at 45. Ive only vever found the 15 dollar onw twice. Although i seem to get a different site 15% of the time. When i first found it a year and a half ago and recently this month. Its so strange. Today its back to what it was before and half their dart selection has vanished. They had accufakes with gray or orange heads in every colour. Now they don't. Also the 15 dollar cutter was gone today when I ordered darts and was looking through the gel ball parts to get a cheaper full set of stampede gears.
Oddy enough my old Caliburn worked with Accufakes, no clue how or why.
@@sirbrick3517 i use workers janky scar barrel. Maybe thats why. How long is your caliburn barrel? Did you get your caliburn from captain slug? If not maybe your barrel is a tad looser.

Too bad they don't feed reliably in tight spring air blasters, otherwise that would be the one size fits all solution.
These darts are the truth! I have been using them since I started without even knowing that they were the best dart. I really only used them because they were a cheaper option than the Nerf Elite dart, but once I found out that the Elite dart is worse by buying a box of the damn things, I felt lucky that my ammo collection is based on the adventure force darts instead of the nerf darts.

I'm really glad you've stepped up the production quality of your videos, but please learn from the other nerf youtubers out there who actually make edits for their videos. I get that it's easy to just stand there with a camera and talk, but I know that all of this information could be more easily conveyed in much less time, and it would be more clear. I get that you're playing with the youtube algorithm, and making videos at least 10 minutes long makes you more money from ads, but please try to cut down your videos more and record more b-roll to cut too. I'm glad that you are learning how to make hit markers, but try watching one of Out of Darts videos and see how they differ. Editing is your friend. Sometimes you should record things more than once so you can cut between them. I know you didn't go to school for film, but you've been doing this for 10 years and your content has come a long way. I'm hoping that you can take further steps to make your content that much better. Keep up with the consistent content and I hope changes come in the future.
