Hey Kent Save the heat sink.. The transformer winding's are good for antenna loading coils, Cristal Radios too. Always fun watching the big bad Caps bite you.. What is the R/C time constant of your discharged Capacitor dance!! Gotta poke fun at you cause it's hard to say how many times I've been lit off. "73"'s W4KG
@@KOVintageTech That RCA wouldn't have been worth the effort to restore. This was at RCA's decline and the specs on this thing is just awful something like 45-18,000Hz this may have been from their Mexico plant when the left the USA. They were known to put old refurbished parts into their new electronics, and got caught several times doing it from their Mexico plant. I was a big RCA fan of the 70 era and before. Anything that came after the move to Mexico is all junk. I think that's what helped end "Radio Shack" when they started selling the RCA junk in the 90's. Realistic had some of the best Receivers ever built before the RCA era.
Another enjoyable video from a great guy! Happy New Year my friend!
