This is my favorite song by them and I get goosebumps every time I hear it. You need to also watch the official version of this song by them as it includes a children's choir singing with them, which adds a whole other dimension to the song. It's just a beautiful piece of music. If you have never seen this Christmas show live in concert, you need to do it at least once. It's an incredible show.

A TSO concert is the most awesome live performance one will ever experience. Their lights and effects are incomparable!

Thanks for getting to this one before you go on break, I'm really glad you liked it. TSO are the masters of taking classical music and playing it in a rock/metal style, and their concerts are probably the best stage shows I've ever seen; we're talking lasers, flames, platforms extending over the audience, just a production with a capital P.
They actually have two touring companies that are on the road from October through December/January. Their shows are roughly an hour of the Christmas-y music with songs tied together by a narrator to form a story. Then the old folks leave, and they do another hour of rocking out with songs like their version of Hall of the Mountain King. Their normal lineup is drums, bass, two lead guitars, two keyboardists, electric violin, narrator, 4 man/4 woman chorus (with outstanding soloists), and a full 8 - 10 piece string section. It's a show. I've probably forgotten someone, there's a lot going on.
I hope you get a chance to see them live, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks, Jessie. Pachelbel's canon in D major is always a pleasure to hear. Nice take on it here with that vocal arrangement. Thanks requester.

You should watch their version of Christmas Canon ruclips.net/video/4cP26ndrmtg/видео.html. It is beautiful and sweet version, I usually play the video over and over.

Wow! 4 minutes old! I got to give the first thumbs up! Woo Hooo! Let's go! Piping in after the song ended. I "sort of' liked this, but there were too many little things that bothered me. For one, I haven't heard them use vocals before. I'll just say they better use pitch correction if they do this in the studio. The lead singer is pretty flat at several points. The choreography seemed too stiff. As always, the instrumentals shone through. These folks can play some music! YOUR reaction was great! Thanks, and have a merry Christmas!

I liked your comment. I don't have that good an ear for the pitch but very glad they didn't whisper any of it. It was generous of you to call it choreography as the arm waving was all over the place. I tend to enjoy things more when I watch them on this channel. You know... company.

Have you seen the video of "the other song"? If not, you should--and that song is a lot better than this, IMO...
